Dr. Nelson always had a desire to return to Guthrie County. He created Springbrook Family Dentistry to focus on matters most: you. He is passionate about providing quality dental care in a calm, comfortable, and clean environment. Dr. Nelson practices conservative dentistry that emphasizes prevention.This means he is honest and only recommends the treatment he would recommend for his own family.
Dr. Nelson and our team are continually learning about modern dentistry to exceed the standard of care. We only used the highest quality of materials and do not cut corners. In addition to being a skilled general dentist, Dr. Nelson is a certified Invisalign provider.
Dr. Nelson went on to attend The University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinic and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. In dental school, his classmates elected him as Secretary of the Iowa American Student Dental Association (IASDA). Dr. Nelson is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry (IAGD) and Iowa Dental Association (IDA). He is currently the VP for Main Street Guthrie Center.
Ashley Miller is a Dental Hygienist with 12 years experience. Ashley has a unique background in multiple areas of healthcare including: public health, dental, medical, and chiropractic. She graduated from Earlham High School and has resided around the local area her entire life. Ashley received her AAS Degree in Dental Hygiene from DMACC in 2009, Bachelors of Science Degree in Health Care Administration from Upper Iowa University in 2014, and Masters of Public Administration from Drake University in 2016. Ashley currently enjoys working as a Dental Hygienist/Dental Assisting Adjunct Instructor at DMACC and a Clinical Dental Hygienist. Ashleys hobbies include: spending time with her husband, Charles and their 4 children and 2 dogs. She spends any extra time as a youth coach, running her children to multiple activities, and being active on her acreage.
Maddi was born and raised in Jamaica, Iowa, and graduated in the class of 2016 from Panorama High School. Maddi is one of our dental assistants and front desk genius. Her favorite part of her job is orthodontic adjustments and helping patients achieve their desired smile. In her free time, she's enjoys spending time with her husband and two golden doodles, Ozzie and Lucy and her nieces and nephews.
Dr. Daniel Nelson has an amazing team at Springbrook Family Dentistry! From my husband to our grandson they were great! They made us feel welcome and followed up with a call to make sure all was well the next day. This place is definitely a huge asset to Guthrie Center!
