Dr. Spencer Rowan has shown exemplary clinical skills, vast knowledge of current dentistry protocols, and an amazing ability to connect with our patients. He loves educating patients on ways to restore and maintain oral health. He feels a well-educated patient is a key to long-term dental health.
Having conversations with patients and helping people with anxiety feel more comfortable in the dental chair are rewarding to Dr. Rowan. He also appreciates building long-term relationships with his community and creating a positive work environment for his team.
Dr. Rowan was born and raised in Merced before leaving to obtain his education. He attended Brigham Young University, where he obtained a bachelors degree in Business Management before completing dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he graduated near the top of his class. Following that, he furthered his education by attending a General Practice Residency program at the Hospital for Veterans Affairs in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he gained experience in many facets of dentistry, including complex restorative, oral and implant surgery, removable prosthodontics, and oral and IV moderate sedation. While at the VA, Dr. Spencer was honored to provide dental service and care to our military veterans.
When he's away from the dental practice, Dr. Rowan spends hours on his road bike in the Sierra Nevada mountains. He enjoys several backpacking trips throughout the year. In the winter, Dr. Rowan is an avid snowboarder and is just picking up skiing. At home, you will often find Dr. Rowan gardening to unwind.
Dr. Creed has been in private practice in Merced for more than 35 years. He is a 1977 graduate of Washington University in St. Louis. He is certified by the State of California to provide conscious sedation dentistry. Dr. Creed has been dedicated to continuing his dental education and has earned the title of Mentor with the Kois Center in Seattlea prestigious clinic that teaches dentists across the world the latest advances in esthetics, implant, and restorative dentistry. He is a member of the California Dental Association and the American Dental Association. Dr. Creed has served the local dental community as a member of the Board of Trustees of the California Dental Association and as president of the Yosemite Dental Society.
Dr. Creed comes from a long tradition of dentistry. His father, Dr. Robert Rowan, had a family practice in Merced for nearly 50 years. Dr. Creed has three brothers who are dentists and a sister who married a dentist. Several of his children are now dentists: his son, Chad, has an orthodontic practice in Merced; his daughter, Rebecca, is also a dentist; and his youngest son, Spencer, is also a dentist who has recently joined us. As you can see, the Rowans have a love for and a commitment to dentistry.
Dr. Creed and his wife, Ellen, are the parents of 5 children and 16 grandchildren. They love spending time with their family. Dr. Creed also enjoys gardening, golf, reading, and traveling. He has worked with the Boy Scouts of America in Merced for several decades. He is also an active member of his church community.
Sandra is originally from Turlock, CA, and joined our dental team in 2006. As the office manager, she makes sure that everyone feels welcome and that all of the practice responsibilities are taken care of.
When Sandra is away from the office, you will find her spending time with her husband and two boys. They spend a lot of time watching their oldest child play competitive soccer. Family trips to the beach are a favorite for everyone.
Neidi is a Merced native and joined our practice in 2018. She got into the dental field because she wanted to help people. People have many fears when it comes to going to the dentist, but she always had positive experiences throughout her life. Neidi is passionate about helping others feel the same way.
Neidi genuinely enjoys getting to know each patient and helping to ease their fears so they can have the dentistry they need to stay healthy. The best reward in dentistry, according to Neidi, is seeing patients smile after their treatment.
Connecting with patients and hearing their stories about their lives and their families is one of Saras favorite parts of her job. She also loves educating patients and helping them improve their oral health.
Donna is proud to call Merced her hometown, where she earned her dental assisting degree at Merced Junior College. She joined the dental practice in 1999 and loves establishing a great rapport with patients. She has known many of our patients for decades! Making patients feel welcome is one of Donnas specialties.
Originally from Chowchilla, CA, Kim earned her dental hygiene degree from Fresno City College. Shes been with the practice since 1995 and loves connecting with our patients. She also enjoys celebrating when they achieve improved oral health.
Kim has a side gig in her spare time, helping people reduce chemical levels in their homes. She also loves traveling and going to the beach. She is also crafty and has made several handmade scrapbooks to hold family memories.

Dr. Spencer Rowan and his staff are awesome! Spencer always provides detailed exams, with thorough explanations and answers to any and all questions. The dental hygienist takes the extra care to do detailed cleanings as softly and courteously as possible.

The thing I like the most about Dr. Spenser is we feel like we knew him forever like the boy next door someone we can sit down with have a nice dinner and have an amazing time... he's a down to earth educated doctor his bedside manners are impeccable and feels like your talking to a friend, understating, kind and patient not to mention does amazing work never feeling rushed like a cow herd and very nice final outcome was beautiful...gorgeous teeth, his staff is professional kind and the waiting room is peaceful and even using the restroom is clean and tidy like I'm in my own home , I feel like walking into his office I can trust him ... like walking into my Grammys house

Dr Rowan is the best dentist ever! I'm super glad to have found him. He always ensure me that everything will be ok by always explaining what he is going to do. Had a dental emergency and they were able to take care of it quickly. Always kind, compassionate and explained everything that would happen. Also called me that evening to check on me. Dr. Spencer and his staff went above and beyond.

I wanna start off with I haven't been to the dentist in years because of a BAD experience I had. I was very nervous and scared at the same time , but as soon as I walked in , the staff was so friendly and attentive to everything. As soon as I sat in the chair , Dr. Spencer Rowan explained everything and addressed my concerns before beginning. I told Dr. Rowan , that I'm a flight risk , he laughed and began the procedure and make sure throughout the whole procedure I was comfortable and with no pain . After everything was set and done , I left with a smile on my face . BEST DENIST I have ever been too. Absolutely no regrets , I'm going to recommend Dr. Rowan to everyone I know needing a Amazing dentist!

These folks are super nice. They don't try to upsell you with nonsense. I'm super nervous going to the dentist, and they let me take breaks during treatments plus they fit me in right away when I had a crown fall out.

The best dentist on the world !!! Really professional, is not too expensive. I recommend 100%, they take care of you like a family, one time i have a small problem and they help the same day and they didn't charge me, so they are amazing people!

Always on time, always thorough. If there's a problem, it can usually be fixed within the cleaning appointment. I like not having to make a second appointment in order to have small fixes done.

Best dental experience I've ever had. Dr. Spencer shows he really cares about his patients. He took his time to explain everything and made me feel comfortable about what was being done. He made sure I was completely happy with the outcome. The staff is warm and friendly, just overall excellent service. Wait time was always less than 5 minutes every time I go in. I highly recommend!!
