Dr. Valins has grown up with Orthodontics all around her. Her father, Dr. Martin Valins, took over this location in 1956. So you could say that Dr. Lisa has been exposed to the positive changes that Orthodontics can bring to a child, teen and adults for over 50 years. The office has been in the same location, the home she grew up in for 65 years. Dr. Valins is the youngest of the four daughters Dr. Martin and Roberta Valins had.
I have had the privilege of growing up and watching a fabulous orthodontist, my father. I consider myself lucky having found the occupation that I look forward to going to every morning. The best part of my day is watching the huge smiles appear as soon as the braces are removed or attachments removed in Invisalign cases.
My goal is to give every patient the most beautiful smile possible and the confidence that comes along with it. It is fantastic to see shy, introverted kids or adult patients transformed into a more confident person with higher self esteem. It is the reason I look forward to my work days. I get to be a part of the physical and emotional transformation and truly make a difference in peoples lives!
When Dr. Valins is not in the office or teaching Orthodontics to the Pediatric Dental Residents at Jamaica Hospital, she is home with her husband, Steven and their four kids: Jack, Emily, Sophia and Rayna AND her loving dogs, Gigi and Atlas.
