At Shine Pediatric Dentistry, we consider it a privilege to work with children and love helping them learn to feel relaxed at the dentist. We practice pediatric dentistry in a way that is gentle, instructive, and inviting, and we work hard each day to help our young patients learn the SHINE principles.
We understand that children have different dental needs than adults, and our caring dentist, Dr. Lynse Briney, has years of experience working specifically with pediatric dental patients. She understands how to communicate with children in a way that makes sense to them and helps them want to become more involved in their dental care. We have made it our mission to help children all across Downers Grove discover what it means to truly be their brightest selves.
Dr. Lynse Briney is excited to be opening Shine Pediatric Dentistry and to serve the Downers Grove Community. Having her very own pediatric dental practice is a dream come true for Dr. Briney, as it means she will get to improve the lives of children each and every day!
Dr. Briney grew up in central Illinois and received her undergraduate degree from Iowa State University. She then went on to receive her D.D.S. degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry in 2005. Dr. Briney knew early on in her dental career that she loved working with children, so she returned to the University of Illinois at Chicago for a Pediatric Dental Residency from 2009 to 2011 and concurrently completed a Masters of Science program in Oral Biology. Dr. Briney worked hard to receive a great dental education that would benefit her patients for years to come. Dr. Briney is even the first college graduate in her family!
During her time as a dentist, Dr. Briney has served many different communities throughout the Chicago area. She has worked in a variety of professional dental capacities, including as Oral Health Director of a nonprofit organization. Dr. Briney has completed clinical residency rotations in all dental specialities and has had the opportunity to treat low-income and special needs dental patients. Now, Dr. Briney is thrilled to be able to work directly in her own personal community! Dr. Brineys husband grew up in Downers Grove, and her two young boys will attend Downers Grove North.
Dr. Briney has chosen to focus specifically on pediatric dentistry. She absolutely loves working with kids and considers it a privilege to help change childrens minds about going to the dentist. Dr. Briney encourages every one of her pediatric patients to be their 'brightest self' and wants to help keep their smiles healthy and beautiful.
Dr. Briney is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is also a member of the Illinois State Dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society, the American Dental Society, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Briney is also affiliated with Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. Dr. Briney regularly continues her dental education through advanced training in new dental specialties such as tooth-colored pediatric crowns and new treatments aimed at preventing the advancement of cavities. Dr. Brineys main goal is always to provide her pediatric dental patients with the best in dental care. She has committed herself to a lifetime of learning more about her specialty.
Karen is Shine Pediatric Dentistry's friendly Patient Care Coordinator. She is originally from Chicago, is trained in business management, and holds a dental assistant certificate. Karen is also certified in coronal polishing and dental sealants.
Karen loves being part of the Shine Pediatric Dentistry family and has a genuine love for learning. Her favorite aspect of her job includes working with our young patients and their families from the beginning of their dental journey to the very end.
Laura is our Dental Assistant originally from Colombia. She is been working with kids for almost four years. Laura holds adental assistant certificate as well as a coronal polishing and dental sealants.
Isabel loves working with kids! She always wanted a job helping children. She loves helping the kids feel comfortable and having a smile on their face when they leave. She is is been working in dentistry for almost three years and is Coronal polishing and Sealant certificated.

Have not been to the office yet but was Noemi is excellent in helping me get my son seen asap. She went through all the information seemed very concern with my son being in pain. I really felt she was trying her best. Thank you.

We love Dr. Briney, hygienists, and staff. My kids are nervous about dentists, everyone at Shine keep my kids calm and at ease while they are at their regular check up.

Dr Briney is one of the sweetest and most talented pediatric dentists I know. She offers many of the much needed services our kiddos need, and does so with a full heart and great bedside manner we're all looking for. We love Shine Pediatric Dentistry. Every staff member is so kind , gentle and gives our kids the best experience. My 3 year old twins look forward to going to the office. Recently my daughter chipped her front tooth and Dr Briney was all things amazing . She made the procedure a great experience for me and my daughter . We also appreciated that the office called to follow up on how she was doing after the procedure .

My daughter fell asleep during her crown procedure! She was scared at first but Dr. Huynh and his staff made her felt really safe and did the procedure flawlessly!

From the initial over the phone appointment to the day of the actual visit, the staff was super friendly and courteous! The assistant made my daughter feel confortable and explained each step of the way, what she was doing. The Spector was amazing and friendly. She answered all my questions. Once my daughter was in the car after our visit she expresses how friendly everyone was and was looking forward to her 6 month follow up. Highly recommend!

My 3 year old and 16 month old had their first dentist trip today at Shine- can not speak more highly about them. The staff was patient, kind, funny and accommodating. Very professional. Great atmosphere. Happy we found them!

After having a bad experience at a previous dentist I brought my son to Dr. Briney she was wonderful was patient and very thorough with my not so happy toddler I felt comfortable and less anxious myself. Her staff is wonderful they tried everything to make my little guy happy. I loved it so much I decided to bring my oldest boys and now they won't go anywhere else! We had a great experience highly recommend Dr. Briney.

I have been taking all of my kids to Shine for routine cleaning and treatments. They always look forward to their visits. The staff is always kind and friendly. Dr. Briney is gentle and caring. I trust her with anything that my kids need for their oral health. Highly recommend!

I am extremely happy I was referred to Dr. Lynse. From the moment we walked into her office her staff was amazing. The office itself is so welcoming and when it comes to her staff it gets even better. Everyone was very nice! Dr. Lynse and her assistant were incredibly attentive to my daughter. I absolutely loved the care they provided from beginning to end! We had such a great experience!

We are so happy we found Shine Pediatric and Dr. Briney! We were at a general dentist office and discovered that both my young kiddos (4 and 7) had cavities that needed to be filled. I wanted to find a dentist that would ensure they had a good experience and did not become afraid of the dentist. Dr. Briney and her staff did such a great job!! Not only were my kids comfortable with the process they literally ask when we can go back! The office is clean and comfortable and so many touches to make it kid friendly. Highly recommend.

Dr. Briney and her staff are the best! my daughter has been seeing Dr. Briney for the last 4 years (starting at 18 months) and will follow her practice where ever it goes! Dr. Briney cares and tries the do the least invasive option where possible. My daughter LOVES Dr. Briney. I am so glad I found her!

Amazing from the start! I was nervous how my child would react to this considering she has never been to the dentist before & is only 3 but the sweet assistant Laura let my daughter feed their fish as soon as we entered the building and both her and Dr. Briney made the entire visit fun and super easy for her! They were great and the Doctor is extremely kind and informative. I am glad I chose to come here & will be recommending people to this office.
