Our team has been treating patients in Irvine, Tustin, Lake Forest, Costa Mesa, Orange, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, Mission Viejo, and the surrounding communities since 1988. We take pride in our long-lasting relationships with each other, and the many patients and their families that have been part of our extended family.
Dr. Y was born in Israel and at the age of 10, moved to Toronto, Canada. Following his junior year in high school, Dr. Y moved to Irvine and finished his senior year at Woodbridge High School. After hisbiology education at UCI and his acceptance to the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Y married his wife, Batel, and moved to Boston, Massachusetts to begin his dental education. Dr. Y graduated with honors from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and was accepted to theirpediatric dental residency at Childrens Hospital, Boston, taking the role of chief resident. After six years in Boston, many great memories, two wonderful daughters and an acceptance into theorthodontic residency at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), Dr. Y and his family moved back west to Los Angeles, once again being chosen to be the chief resident.
Dr. Trishia (Dr. T) joined the practice in 2017. She is a southern California native and is a triple USC Trojan having attended the University of Southern California (USC) for college, dental school, and pediatric dental residency. She graduated with high honors and received her B.S. in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. This helped her lay a strong foundation for her interest in preventive dentistry and has given her a deeper understanding how having a healthy mouth can affect the entire body. In dental school, Dr. Trishia knew her heart was meant to serve the pediatric dental population. She enjoyed volunteering at local elementary schools educating kids how to properly care for their teeth and volunteering on international mission trips to countries such as Panama and Belize to provide dental care to underserved children.
Dr. Trishia completed her final year of residency at the Childrens Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) and Healthy Smiles of Orange County, where she received specialized training working with children with a wide range of special needs. She remains on board as a USC faculty member and is grateful to have the opportunity to teach the current generation of pediatric dentists. Dr. Trishia loves that dentistry constantly evolves, making it challenging, exciting, and rewarding everyday.One of her favorite parts about being a pediatric dentist is getting to know her patients and their families. She hopes to motivate her patients to achieve their best health possible and strives to make each visit fun and interactive.
Dr. Rachel is an Oregon native who graduated summa cum laude from Pacific University with a double major in chemistry and biology. She graduated with honors from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. After obtaining her dental degree, Dr. Rachel was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy and was stationed overseas in Okinawa, Japan.
Upon completing her service, Dr. Rachel pursued her passion for pediatric dentistry with a residency at the Harvard affiliated Boston Childrens Hospital. She continued to share her love of pediatric dentistry by joining the faculty at the University at Buffalo in Buffalo, New York, where she relocated with her husband (who is an orthodontist).
In 2020, Dr. Rachel and her family traded in the snow for sunny California. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Rachel can be found spending time with her husband and three children. She also enjoys training for marathons and triathlons. An animal lover, her family also includes a toilet trained cat, a bearded dragon, and a Klee Kai puppy.

I would never walk to this place again after messing up our appointment and not even a single apology from the person who did this. I felt awful for my son after what they did.

Make sure you know the amount that you will be billed. We have our initial visit and examination and got our treatment plan, which I found pricey and did not proceed to treatment. Although my insurance pays examination I am got the bill from office. And I asked the representative "I am paying what you billed me now but What prevents you to claim 10 times more?" No answer. They gave me a process before getting my confirmation for the price. I would expect to know the bill before I am taking any service of course. My suggestion for anyone who plans to visit make sure you learn about the process and ask price twice before you continue. On the other hand an important point they are kind and have always smiling faces.

Dr Y and Dr Tricia are full of attention and care so much about every detail. They take their time to explain every single step. The staff is amazing as well: sweet and professional. I'm so confident to have them taking care of my 3 kids. I wish they could have services for the parents as well!

This is far the worst dental office I ever took my kids too. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU LIKE TO BE DOUBLE CHARGE.They need to hired new receptionists or train their receptionists to be better at their job if they want patients to come back. The dentists are amazing but the front desk receptionists are horrible at their job. They are irresponsible and does not keep track of what they are charging the patients for it and later charge again for another fee that the patients already paid. I have never went to a office that double charged me this much. I have the best dental insurance yet they double charge me at every visits which I paid every times. I am a very nice person, I don't really question. Few months, I asked the receptionist what are some of the charges are for because I paid already. She demanded that I should pay because it doesn't not show that I did, so I ask her to look again. She finally replied back and said it did showed that I paid. All I know is that this OFFICE, every time I took my kids in I always come out with a bill bills. Be careful everyone.

I love Dr. Trishia and Irvine PDO and the dental care they give our four boys (ages 9,7,5,3) and would highly recommend them to all! My oldest has been a patient of Dr. Trishia since he was 2. He was so scared before having a cavity filled and I remember being so impressed by the kind, gentle manner of Dr. Trishia and the way she so clearly explained everything for my son during the filling - letting him touch and see everything before she put it in his mouth. It ended up being a good experience for my son! We have gotten to know Dr. Y over the past few years and he has always been so warm and welcoming. This past year one of my sons had a rare jaw tumor and Dr Trishia went out of her way to check in on how he was and offer help in whatever way she could. We feel so cared for by the office and I think that is a rare and beautiful thing today! Thank you Dr. Trishia and Dr. Y for being so amazing!

I had such a wonderful experience here at Irvine Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. It all happened one night when I noticed a "bump" on my son's teeth while helping him floss. I was shocked because I could see no reason for the cause of this "bump." I called the staff the very next day and was immediately accommodated in for a concerned visit. No more than 5 minutes was I brought in and seen by Dr. Trishia. She has the best chairside manner one could hope to find and in no time calmed both a concerned mom and an anxious child. Not only did she take her time to perform a detailed exam on my son, she also performed treatment on the same day. For a busy mom of two, I could not have hoped for more. Thank you Dr. Trishia for your excellent care. I will definitely bring my daughter in next time for her 1st dental check up. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants great dental care for their children.

Dr Y, you bedside manner and knowledge really impressed me. Thank you for your time and kindness. I went to four others orthodontist in Irvine and no one took the time to explain and go over options. I can't wait to start the treatment of my son with you. I visited here for a second opinion for my 18mo daughter and immediately fell in love! We changed our pediatric dentist to here and got an appointment for my son , 6.5 yo too. He was super nervous before coming to the appointment, having tummy aches... The doctor (Dr. Trishia) and her staff were amazing. They explained everything crystal clear over and over without hesitation and at last my son said that he loved this place so much he definitely wanted to come back!!! They truly take their jobs very seriously and love what they are doing! Thank you!
