The technology at Zumbro Family Dental helps separate it from other local dental offices. Cone beam imaging makes our treatments more precise and gives them a higher success rate, and digital impressions have allowed us to eliminate error-prone, foul-tasting putty from our dental office. We keep one eye on the latest trends, and when we see technology that could make our patients smiles even brighter and healthier, we move to integrate it into our dental office as soon as possible.
Growing up, Dr. Brong always enjoyed science and math classes. While in high school, he decided to become a physician, so he was pre-med during his first two years of college, studying biochemistry. During this time, he attended a few courses that involved shadowing various doctors, including dentists. While he loved the treatments he saw from surgeons, he was worried about a lack of work/life balance based on the stores he heard. However, when shadowing the dentists, that balance seemed to be a lot healthier. After considering his options a little more, realizing he wanted to work with his hands, and remembering that he enjoyed the dentists office growing up, he decided on a new career path and the rest is history!
Dr. Brong completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. Since then, he has pursued a great deal of advanced education and training opportunities, including the following:
Dr. Brongs wife Nicole often helps out at the dental office as a dental assistant and front desk admin. Together, they have three wonderful children named Emma, Evan, and Elise. When he isnt busy caring for teeth, some of his favorite hobbies include golfing, skiing, traveling, swimming, cooking, fishing, hiking, and (of course) spending quality time with his family.
With more than 30 years of dentistry experience, Sinde is dedicated to going above and beyond to offer patients the care they need. Sinde graduated from Rochester Vocational and Technical College where she studied dental assisting. She is a board-certified and registered dental assistant.
A native of Elgin, Sinde is happily married and has a daughter who is in her third year at Creighton University and a son who is in his first year at Buena Vista University. When she has spare time, Sinde enjoys walking, reading, volunteering, and attending her kids sporting events.
Julie has been working in the dental world for almost five years now. She also has training in restorative functions, which means shes able to place both fillings and stainless-steel crowns. What she enjoys most about her work at Zumbro Dental is helping patients live healthier lives by improving their smiles!
Outside of the dental office, Julie is excitedly planning a wedding for the end of 2022 with her fianc. She also spends her free time hosting events, cooking, traveling (especially to Vietnam, where her patients immigrated from), and being surrounded by loved ones.

I didn't get my first cavities until my 30s, and needless to say, my old dentist was less than gentle, so I developed some dentist anxiety. My husband had visited Zumbro Family Dental (and he has extreme dental anxiety) and said they were very good, so after a few months of stressing, I finally made an appointment. The vibe is very relaxed, no judgment at all. Then came the day I had to come back to get a few cavities filled. Anxiety was high. Then the drill. I 'braced for impact'. And...it was not bad, not at all. A night and day difference from my old dentist! And very quick. I'll be keeping my dental appointments from now on thanks to Zumbro Family Dental!

When a patient has a tooth emergency it's good to know that when you call Zumbro Family Dental a patient can be seen and quickly. I had a crown pop off and the tooth needed to have a good deal of work done to repair the tooth. Dr. Brong & Sinde took their time to not only discuss the issue with me but explained what needed to be done. So I walked out a satisfied patient with my tooth! Thank you for taking the time to see me and get the issue resolved. If anyone is looking for a dental office that meets the needs of their patients this is the one for you.

What makes this place great is the first person you come in contact with. Kim is so kind and welcoming. She is also flexible and helps with scheduling issues without losing her patience. The hygienists were wonderful and the doctor is great too. The whole team gets 5 stars from us! Thank you for providing such great customer service.

I usually don't leave reviews as I think praise should be given at the time you receive good service. But with as exceptional as the service I have received here I really feel this whole dental team has earned it. I have mild dental anxiety, no offense guys, but going to the dentist is NOT one of my favorite things. Probably the same for most I guess. It's not to the point I need medication or anything, I just get nervous. The calm, caring demeanor of all the staff here puts me at ease. Whether it's the desk staff, hygienist, the Doctor or his assistant, they all are very caring and good at calming the fear. But that is not entirely why I'm writing this. I was at work one Saturday morning and ended up splitting a molar. It had a rather large filling and we'd been watching it for some time. I was able to get a hold of Dr. Brong since it was an emergency and he got in contact with one of his staff and they were kind enough to take time out of their Saturday and meet me at the office. They did a temporary crown until the permanent one was available. And that is why I'm planning on being in the Zumbro family for life. If you're looking for a dentist or not entirely happy with the care you currently receive I'd definitely check this office out.

I was very pleased with the care I received at this Dental clinic. The staff are always so helpful. They all do an excellent job. The new hygienist cleaned my teeth very well and explained things as she went along. I have gone here for years and would never go anywhere else.
