Dr. Z is the best. He always makes sure of your comfort, I got a root canal on my front tooth and didn't feel a thing. He also works with you on price. I was a poor college kid and was able to get my wisdom teeth out. I've only had positive experiences with Dr. Zilka.

I have been to many dentists over the years. While they've mostly been professional, Dr. Z is the only one that made me feel the most comfortable. Being that I have an anxiety disorder and slight fear of needles, getting numbed isn't my favorite thing. He talks me through everything he is going to do and as he's doing it. He also shared stories when I ask about his life just to keep my mind from going anxious. As far as his dental work, it is stellar. I am beyond happy with the quality. But what I am most happy with is him and his staff. He doesn't get annoyed or upset when I ask him questions (todays was how and why the numbing medications take time to administer and what would happen if he administered them like a standard injection) since I love to learn and that means a lot to me. So, even though I live in Marcy, I drive to Herkimer for my dental visits JUST because he is literally the best I have found. He is humble and needs to take FAR more credit for his talents than he does. If you are in need of a dentist, please please go see him. (Also, I understand this review sounds too good to be true... I just paid almost $800 for my last two visits. Believe me... I'm not getting any incentive to post )

Save your money....find a dentist that dosen't DRINK....and will shut up for one minute.

He does decent work however must forget what he recommends, as he recommended my child to have two cavities filled at once and then told me that was to much....when I told him it was his recommendation he got upset and said whatever. We left because of his obnoxious attitude. Hes also pricey if you don't mind being talked to death about his dog go there. We won't be back.

Dr Zilka is the best dentist I have ever seen and been to. You will never find a dentist like him anywhere. For years I have been afraid of going to one but after my first visit with him I had no pain and he was just wonderful. All the staff are very friendly. If you need a DDS go see Dr Zilka
