I began my career in dentistry in 1994, working with Dr. Roger Zehren until his retirement. In 2003, I began working with Dr. Peter Zehren, working in many different capacities throughout the years, as was needed. Over the last 21 years in the dental field, I have enjoyed helping people with their dental needs. In my spare time, I enjoy helping people who have food allergies, by baking and developing recipes that are safe for their specific needs.
I have been the financial coordinator at Zehren Dental since October of 2017. I help our patients utilize their insurance benefits in the way that is best for them. It has been fun getting to know and learn all of our patients. One thing I enjoy the most about my job is seeing complete smile transformations in patients it totally changes the patient that I first met! I live in Fountain City with my fianc - Cody, daughter - Addison, our chocolate lab - Maddie, and our cat - Louie. In my free time, I enjoy shopping, cooking out, and spending long days on the river with our friends and family.
I have worked in dentistry since 2017. I take several educational courses every year to expand my knowledge and skills in every aspect of dentistry. My mission is to make every patient comfortable and give high-quality care that they deserve. My favorite part of my job would be helping patients through a course of treatment to be completely transformed - not only physically but emotionally and mentally. I want and find the best ways to make my patients comfortable and excited to return to continue treatment at Zehren Dental. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Ryan and two daughters, Kianna and Reagan on our hobby farm outside of Wabasha. I enjoy pool parties at our house, horseback riding, camp fires and shopping.
My name is Kristi and I have been a dental hygienist/assistant for 10+ years. I have lived in the Coulee area my whole life. I have three children ages 12, 9, and 3. We enjoy camping at our permanent site, boating on the river, and biking. Dental is more than a career for me it really is a passion. It is rewarding in so many ways that make this profession so much fun! Do not let your fear, anxiety, & embarrassment prevent you from addressing your dental needs. My goal is to ease those fears and make your visit comfortable and enjoyable!
Ryan, who will receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the College of Dental Medicine at Midwestern University- Illinois, is a familiar face in the Winona area. Once a student studying Cell and Molecular Biology at Winona State University, you could also find Ryan on the football field. As captain of the 2014 Warrior Football Team, and a player from 2010-2014, Ryan was honored with awards not only for his athletic accomplishments, but for outstanding community work and leadership on the team.
In 2014, Ryan was one of 22 football players in the United States to be recognized on the All-State Good Works Team. This respected college football award pays tribute to a select group of athletes who have worked to positively influence the lives of others in their communities. Ryan also received the 2011 NSIC Defensive Newcomer of the Year Award, was a 3-time All- NSIC Team Member and a 2013 & 2014 USA College Sports Preseason All-American. Ryan also received the 2014 Glen Galligan Award, which is awarded to honor an outstanding senior football player in the NSIC.
Following his time in Winona, Ryan has had the fortunate opportunity to earn his dental education at an institution that is at the cutting edge of dental technology and utilizes the newest techniques in the field. This education has allowed Ryan to pursue his interests in: Same-Day Crowns, root canal therapy, clear aligner orthodontics (Invisalign) and implant dentistry. He is also excited for the opportunity to become a role model to the children of the practice, just as his dentist had been to him while growing up. Ryan is committed to a life of continuing education in order to provide his patients with comfortable and quality dental care for many years to come.

Before I even entered dental school, I was fairly equipped with knowledge because of Dr. Zehrens vast expertise in the field of dentistry. Thats what really intrigued me about his practice his ability to use that expertise to provide the best possible care to his patients. And also, how well he treats the patients, staff and the community that supports him.'
Getting the opportunity to join Dr. Zehrens team in a community Kaitlyn and I have grown to love and have hoped to eventually put roots down in is very humbling. I look forward to building trusting relationships with new and existing patients, seeing some familiar faces and proudly representing Zehren Dental in the Winona area.

Dr. Zehren and staff are amazing! He takes the time to do an excellent job with his patients. Everyone in the office is very friendly and they make sure that everything about your visit is satisfactory!

Zehren Dental has been there for us when we needed them most. Always quality work with friendly people. Highest technology equipment that I have ever seen. Love that! Dr. Peter Zehren is funny and great to work with.

Dr. Pete is an exceptional dentist with great attention to detail. The office staff are warm, welcoming and friendly. He has a built a great team of Assistants and Hygienists. I used to dread getting my annual cleanings and some years would skip it. Since I have been going to Dr. Pete this is no longer the case. Highly recommend!

The dentist and his assistant were nice, but the receptionist was so rude to me. For some reason, despite my being polite toward her, she was rude to me the minute I came into the office. She gave me attitude when asking me questions, insisted that I shouldn't be on my dad's insurance because I "wasn't a student" (which is completely inaccurate; you don't have to be a student in order to be on insurance) and was overall just snippy to me for no reason whatsoever. Why go into a job that requires people skills if you're going to be like that?

The staff at Zehren dental are welcoming, caring, and joyful to work with. After many years of being a patient of Dr. Pete, and more recently Dr. Ryan, I'm always pleased with the treatment I receive here. Carol, at the front desk, is amazing at her job. The staff are all truly knowledgeable, personable, and friendly. It's important to me to not feel judged on the amount of work or dental issues that come up, and never once have I felt embarrassment or judgment from their staff. I've received only a number of the many services they offer. I'm pleased by the courtesy of the employees that will call insurance to verify coverage, give estimates or treatment plans, make sure the care that you're receiving is in network and otherwise help you figure out a way to pay for procedures that are not--whether it's through monthly payments or services like Care Credit. The only complaint I might have is that they seemed to be busy with multiple patients at times, however, they are attentive at making sure you're not forgotten about. Always willing to fit you in the schedule, especially in acute situations. They will find you a spot without making you wait weeks to be seen. I truly appreciate the treatment and the staff at Zehren dental.

This office is clean with a gorgeous view and the staff is incredibly kind and so accomodating! I saw Dr. Ryan and I am astounded at the job he did. I ended up needing a full upper denture and had a ton of concerns about it. Not only did he explain the entire process step by step to me he also did everything he could to make sure I was comfortable and at ease. He has done an incredible job and I love my new healthy smile. People who knew me from before can hardly even tell I've had anything done! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Ryan and staff! You won't be disappointed! Thank you to all of the staff at Zehren Dental for making this process much easier for me!

***STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE FOR ANY ORTHO WORK*** I was told my treatment for Clear Correct was finished after having trays for about 4 years. I wasn't super happy about the results considering I still have teeth that are not straight. Dr Zehren told me I was a "perfectionist" and the tooth was not going to move further. They sent me on my way with my final retainer. Fast forward 18 months and I need a new retainer because the one I got snapped in half. This is when I find out, through their lack of oversight, that they NEVER finished my treatment, and my teeth should essentially be perfectly straight. The final retainer they send me DOES NOT FIT MY TEETH: this is because instead of my original final retainer being the final result of my clear correct, they made their own custom retainer to fit my teeth instead of finishing my treatment. Dr Zehren made me feel as if I was overreacting about the one crooked tooth, so to find out it was him being LAZY is inexcusable. But don't worry, for $1400 I could re-open the treatment with them, despite already paying $X,XXX for the results I don't have. Not to mention, after leaving the office after waiting for an hour (after telling the front desk I was on a time crunch), I get a phone call from Dr. Zehren rudely stating I had VOLUNTARILY ELECTED TO END MY TREATMENT "because I was graduating" .... this dude is a piece of work and just wants your money. He got caught in a huge lie-- I am sure he does this to other patients, too. The only thing going for him is the office, it is beautiful and right on the lake... but I guess you have to make up for the deplorable service somehow!

I first came during the end of my pregnancy to have my dental checkup. All the staff were so nice, made me feel comfortable. The office is nice, clean and up to date with newer equipment. I, told my husband to have our kids come here. All the children 2 to 7 were not scared and actually got thru each visit. Will continue to come and bring the whole family here. They do great work and staff stays on top of reminder appointments.
