Dr. Zefran graduated from Forest City Regional High School in 1974. He received his undergraduate education from the University of Scranton, graduating in 1978 with a BS in Biology and then went on to train at Temple University School of Dentistry, graduating in 1982. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Zefran returned home to open his practice on Church Street in Honesdale in 1983. He built the current office in 2007 in anticipation of his daughter, Marissa, joining him in practice. He is a lifetime resident of Wayne County and has served on the Clinton Township planning commission, the Forest City Education Foundation and is currently the chairperson for Clinton Township Board of Supervisors. Dr. Zefran is a member of the Scranton District Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, Pennsylvania Dental Society and the American Dental Association. He takes approximately 20 continuing education hours per year gaining valuable information and staying current with all aspects of the dental field. When at home, Dr. Zefran loves to spend his time with his family and enjoys golfing, hunting, and fishing.
Dr. Nacinovich graduated from the University of Scranton in 2003 with Summa Cum Laude Honors. She went on to dental school at Temple University School of Dentistry. While at Temple University, she was inducted into the Stomatognathic Honor Society and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. In 2007, she joined her father in practice at Zefran Dental Group. She enjoys practicing all aspects of dentistry and strives to take continuing education classes that keep her practice up to date with new technology and materials. Dr. Nacinovich is a lifetime resident of Wayne County and is a board member of the Wayne County Children's Christmas Bureau. At home, Dr. Nacinovich enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and dogs. She likes to play golf, ski, read, and sing.
Dr. Zefran graduated from Forest City Regional High School in 2012. Following high school, she continued her family legacy by attending the University of Scranton, graduating with a BS in Biochemistry and a minor in History in 2016. Having a passion for population health, she enrolled in Thomas Jefferson Universitys accelerated Masters in Public Health program, completing course work in 2017 and graduating in 2018. After living in Portland, Maine, Dr. Zefran graduated from the University of New England College of Dental Medicine in 2021 and returned home to practice. Dr. Zefran has presented research at the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) and debated for the College of Dental Medicine at regional meetings. While in school, Dr. Zefran was a member of the American Academy of Women Dentists, American Student Dental Association, the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Club, Admissions and Academic Affairs Committee. She currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Scranton District Dental Society and is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Women Dentists, International Academy of Facial Esthetics and Pennsylvania Dental Association. In her free time, Dr. Zefran enjoys playing golf, skiing, cooking, traveling, the outdoors and spending time with her English Springer Spaniel, Lady.

Have gone to Zefran for several years. Love this practice, as much as one can love going to the dentist. I moved out of the area and have gone to other dentists and I am less than impressed. Dr. Zefran is so much better. They do a great job cleaning, all of the staff are smiling and helpful as soon as you walk in, and I don't think they try to persuade you into anything you aren't comfortable with. I am going to travel 3 hours for my next appointment and it will be more than worth it. My thanks for taking care of me and my 2 daughters for many years.

My experience was not good, after being switched to a different dentist. First I was told I had a cavity found by the person who cleaned my teeth , I felt like she was using a grinder, very rough. Then after a filling, I had nothing but pain, then I needed a root canal. I ask maybe it's better to just pull it. No no get the root canal, another nightmare, they did the root canal. I left feeling like I would die from the extreme pain. Go back. Oh you need another root canal (two) roots) sorry we didn't see that, this is why you felt like you had a nail in your head, again should you just pull it, no no get the root canal. Second root canal on same tooth, ok two months later the tooth is pulled by another dentist(as it should have been for my benefit). Not root canal's that didn't work to benefit them. I had another root canal done there before that , that 1 aggravates me every day by collecting food and feels bad because of it, they say there is nothing they can do about it. Oh they were also kind enough to offer me Botox injections for jaw pain, which resulted in severe vertigo, which cost me a lot to fix going to different doctors, so I tell them. No no can't be from that, ok are you sure?? So they do it again, same results sever vertigo, again many trips to the doctor to get it fixed. "NEVER " again Definitely something wrong there.

All the other dentists that I've had while living up here for the last 30 years cannot compare to Zefran Dental Group. Their fees are reasonable, their services prompt and thorough, and most services are covered completely with little or no co-pay. Oh, and BTW, they do great work

I feel silly for putting off going to the dentist for so long, but my past experience with other dentists was not very good to put it gently. I am beyond thrilled I made an appointment at Zefran Dental. From the second I walked in, everyone was so friendly, helpful, and I felt very at ease. I had a cavity filled on my front top tooth, a very obvious spot I was self conscious about, and I can't even tell anything used to be there, the repairs were seamless! And everyone was so gentle with the procedure, they kept checking in on me to make sure I was doing ok. Such a great experience!

I cracked a tooth and damaged an old filling. The Zefrans found a way to fit Dr. Katie Zefran was wonderful. She drilled out the filling, smoothed over the sharp part of the damaged tooth, and installed a new higher tech filling all within half an hour. Because the practice was short staffed she did a lot of the filling removal and fluid removal by herself until some of the dental techs could come to her aid. This was all done with almost no discomfort. The professionalism and accommodation was extraordinary. Thank you to everyone at Zefran Dental.

Had an appointment today with Dr. Katie Zefran. It couldn't have gone better. She was very competent and cordial. She also treated my 11 year old granddaughter and she absolutely loved Katie. I could not recommended her more....you won't be disappointed....

Not impressed. Had pain at site of old tooth extraction, which I had done at another oral surgeon. Explained my situation over the phone, booked an appointment, drove over an hour thinking I was going to be able to get help. Met with the doctor & was basically told to take a hike & that it was something the oral surgeon who did the original extraction needs to take care of. Wanted to burst into tears. Who's running this joint?

I went to zefran for several years. I had a cracked tooth and tried to bring it to his attention for years only to be told it wasn't cracked everytime. it had rotted and was extracted after 6 years. I was told it isn't in my chart anywhere that I came in for a cracked tooth even though I made two appointments for that reason, which is suspicious to me. he managed to leave ortho glue on my teeth from braces for a few years which my new dentist is still trying to remove. he's rough, creepy towards young women and doesn't tell you what he's doing. I had several cavities and severe gingivitis that he never brought to my attention. he has given me ptsd and a phobia of dental care. my new dentist is thankfully aware of my trauma and trained to help me. I thought I'd lose all my teeth before 25 y/o because of zefran and I do not suggest getting health care in honesdale anymore, coming from someone born and raised here

I had an emergency problem with my tooth and came to Dr. Zefran as a referral. From the moment I walked through the office door I felt at ease in the comfortable, spacious waiting area. His office staff are friendly and welcoming. Dr. Zefran is very pleasant and professional and outlined my options in a patient, detailed manner. He then adjusted his schedule to resolve my issue in an expeditious manner and showed sincere concern for my situation. I am extremely happy with the kindness of Dr. Zefran and his assistant, Jill, and felt I was in very capable, professional hands the whole time I was under their care. I highly recommend the Zefran Dental Group and sincerely thank Dr. Zefran for his kind attention to my dental emergency. I found my new dentist!!!
