Our treatment room amenities include blankets, pillows and music. We use digital X-rays, the safest form of radiography available, while you are protected with a lead apron. Dr. Walker uses computer-assisted injection for local anesthesia called The Wand to alleviate discomfort for our patients. It's just another way Dr. Walker strives to make his patients' dental visits anxiety-free and comfortable!
Needles may be the only thing patients find scarier than going to the dentist. Whether you already suffer from dental phobia or anxiety, are scared of needles or just want the most comfortable and targeted numbing available, the Wand allows our team to provide better and more comfortable local anesthesia.
The Wand looks similar to a pen. You will never see or feel a needle. Instead, youll experience gentle, localized numbing. Traditional local anesthesia numbs large sections of the mouth, making it difficult to speak clearly, chew or even breathe for hours after a procedure. The Wand allows us to numb only the parts of the mouth necessary to perform a procedure. That means you wont feel anything during your treatments, and youre able to get back to your daily routine right away. We use the Wand to make your dentistry experience better, more comfortable and more effective.
Digital X-rays allow us to capture higher resolution images of the underlying structures of patients smiles than traditional X-rays without the high levels of radiation, time consuming film development process, or need for lighted X-ray viewing boards. Instead, digital X-rays are quickly captured and available to view right away on our chairside computer monitors. We can examine these X-rays with you as part of your regular checkup, use them to help you understand oral health concerns and partner with you to create a plan for your ongoing oral health care. Unlike the low-quality film images produced by traditional X-ray systems, our Dexis digital X-ray system produces high-definition X-ray images that can be expanded, color coded and otherwise enhanced to make understanding your oral health care needs completely clear.
Dr. Zack Walker has always wanted to pursue a career that allows him to impact peoples lives directly. Whether hes helping others remove pain due to a damaged tooth or restoring damaged teeth, Dr. Zack is incredibly satisfied by improving peoples smiles and oral health. We hope you take a moment to get to know him a bit better before your next visit!
As the son of two skilled dentists, Drs. George and Veronica Walker, Dr. Zack has dental care in his blood. Working with his parents and seeing the effect of their work in the community inspired Dr. Zack to follow in their footsteps. Hes very excited to finally be apart of the team after completing his education and residency.
Dr. Zack began his education at Wake Forest University where he studied biology and chemistry. He earned his doctorate of dental surgery from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry and graduated with honors in 2017. He then completed the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program in Elizabeth City through the East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Zack loves working with patients of all ages to achieve their smile goals. He is dedicated to continuing education courses so he can offer a wide range of dentistry services, including advanced oral surgery and endodontic (root canal) treatments. He especially enjoys advanced restorative and cosmetic cases where he gets to partner with patients to create a beautiful smile they feel proud to share. Dr. Zack maintains professional membership in the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
When hes not hard at work helping patients, Dr. Zack enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, fishing, golfing, and visiting the beaches of North Carolina. He also enjoys cooking and spending time with his wife, Kim, and their dog Bubba. One interesting fact about Dr. Zack is during his undergraduate education at Wake Forest, he studied echolocation in bats, which is the use of biological sonar by animals to understand their surroundings.
Kim has 30 years experience as a dental assistant and joined our team in 1991. Since then, Kim has been hard at work helping patients achieve their healthiest, most beautiful smiles in complete comfort and relaxation. In addition to being a dental assistant, Kim studied dental radiography at Guilford Technical Community College. She also studied infection and hazard control and coronal polishing at Wake Forest University and maintains current CPR certification. A native of Greensboro, NC, Kim enjoys visiting the beach, gardening, and spending time with family. Kim grew up on a farm and is an animal lover.
Since 2007, Barbara has worked hard to help patients get the dental care they need within their schedule and budget. Barbara continues to learn and educate herself on patient safety and is CPR certified. Originally from Center Moriches, New York, Barbara has lived in Kernersville since 2006. She is happily married with three children. She enjoys camping, hiking, biking, and spending time with her family and dogs.
With more than four decades of dental experience, Eleni joined our team in 2002. Since then, she has gone above and beyond to make sure our patients are able to achieve and maintain their highest level of oral health. She earned her dental hygiene degree from Guilford Technical community College and maintains her continuing education hours and CPR certification. Outside the dental office, Eleni is the proud parent of a daughter and son, and she enjoys reading and spending time with friends and family.
With more than 20 years in the dental field, Stephanie has been a member of our team since 1995. She studied dental hygiene at Guilford Technical Community College, is CPR certified and completes continuing education hours each year to maintain her knowledge of advances in the field. A native of Thurmond, NC, Stephanie is married and a proud mom to a son and daughter. She enjoys traveling, scrapbooking and participating in outdoor activities.
Alli joined our team in July of 2019, shortly after receiving her certification as a dental assistant. She is CPR certified and also studied dental radiography and infection control. Patient experience is one of her top priorities, and she works hard to make sure you feel comfortable in the dental office. Outside of work, Alli enjoys spending time with family and friends, cake decorating, and spoiling her two dogs.

Been going to this office for YEARS. Office staff is wonderful, and personable. Stephanie always takes gentle care on cleaning my teeth. Dr. Walker is very professional and thorough. Recommend them to anyone in the Kernersville area!

I'm sorry, this dentist is not for me. Nice small office, with no sales pitches. I chose them specifically because they claim to be good with people who have sensory needs. But, my first appointment was almost 2 hours of sensory overload. Never checked with me to see if I was doing ok. Should offer to break appt up into two appts. They don't even offer sunglasses for use, which so many dentists do now. Dr. Walker and the staff are all very nice, but they need to work on how they treat neurodivergent patients, and billing. I also asked very specific questions regarding my insurance, to avoid any surprises. Yet somehow, even though my visit should be covered at 100% (with a high premium insurance), I ended up owing them a hefty amount. Not nice in this economy. No compassion- not in the chair, or with the billing.

Dr Walker's staff are all super friendly and kind. His office is beautiful and spotless the equipment is modern and cutting edge. Dr Walker gentle and knowledgeable. I had two fillings done absolutely painlessly. Never in my 64 years have I ever had a better experience at the dentist. I highly recommend him.

I had my second visit with Dr Walker today and I had to have old fillings replaced and it was a very good experience. He took extra care to make sure I was sufficiently numbed and the procedure went very smoothly. I haven't moved a lot in my life and experience many dentist and Dr Walker is definitely in the "excellent" category. His staff is always very friendly and always very professional. I highly recommend Dr Walker.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Walker and his staff. They are very friendly and treat you with the up most care. I was in this morning for the start of my crown and everything went smoothly. He has an automatic numbing machine so you do not have to have the needle jabbed everywhere in your mouth. Everything went smoothly. I will go back and get my permanent crown in 2 weeks. Since the first time I went to his office I have been extremely happy and will not be switching dentist. I cannot thank my brother enough for recommending his office when I moved here from California. If you want and excellent dentist with an excellent staff then check out Dr. Walker in Kernersville. You will not regret it.

Dr. Walker, Kim and the staff were exceptional! I had a previously broken (30 years ago) bonded front tooth break over the weekend. The original work was not done by Dr Walker. I am not a prior patient of Dr. Walker but after finding him online, I contacted him (Emergency line) on a Sunday and he quickly responded. He agreed to fit me on the next day. Upon arrival the staff was friendly and made me feel very comfortable. The office was very clean and all the equipment appeared new / latest tech. It took Dr. Walker and Kim ~2 hrs for the complete repair including XRays, 3D imaging and the repair which is a temporary crown that actually looks better than my original bonded tooth. I will be back in 2 weeks for the permanent crown. My family and I will also all become new patients for our future dental needs. Thanks Dr Walker, Kim and staff for making it comfortable to smile again!

I had my first filling today and was extremely nervous but Dr. Walker had me in and out the door in no time and made me realize there was nothing to worry about. Eleni is the BEST dental hygienist I've ever had and can't say enough. I can't forget the nicest/most kind front office staff ever! I would HIGHLY recommend!

Dr.Walker is one of the best & you will not regret seeing him as your dentist. He has an awesome staff & they will take the time to help you schedule appointments with surgeons if you need them to, they will ensure to save you some money on X-rays if you are coming for a 2nd opinion or moving from a previous dentist rather than take new ones just to charge you. You can get him 24/7 if you are having an emergency & he will call you back even if he is on vacation. He is an excellent dentist & a great doctor to work with. Thank you Doctor Walker & Staff you are a blessing!!!!

I needed several procedures and with each I was treated like the most special person in the world. From the moment I enter their office, I am greeted with warm smiles, and normally I am taken without being seated in the waiting area. While in the cleaning room or the procedure room, Dr. Walker and his staff provide excellent, compassionate, and very professional service. I highly recommend this practice to anyone needing an exceptionally professional and friendly dental practice.

I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Zach Walker and his practice, which he shares with his mother, the other Dr. Walker. Everyone on staff I have had the pleasure to meet (Barbara, Allie, Eleni, Kim) is friendly and compassionate, and all of the treatment I have received, from my first routine cleaning in years to crown placement post root canal has been exceptional. I travel from Greensboro to Kernersville because it's totally worth it!
