Dr. Holcombe is a native of Greenville, NC who attended North Carolina State University for undergraduate studies before earning his DMD from East Carolina University. He is married to his wife Amy and they have one child. When not practicing dentistry he enjoys spending time out doors with his friends and family.
Dr. Holcombe enjoys working with his patients and is thankful for his practice that he took over in 2018. He is an active member in the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, North Carolina Dental Society, and Buncombe County Dental Society
Betty graduated from the dental hygiene program at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College in 1980. She has been working at the practice since April 1981 and enjoys both her work and the patients!
Marija joined our practice in 2016. She was born and raised in Macedonia where she attended dental school. She graduated from AB-Techs Dental Assisting program in 2006 and has been a dental assistant ever since. Being able to interact, educate, and comfort patients is the most rewarding experience to her. Marija has two boys. Spending time with family and friends, cooking, and traveling are what she enjoys the most. She also enjoys outdoor activities, especially when it is warm!

The staff at Dr.Hilcombe's office are wonderful! The receptionist Kathy fit me in so quickly with an emergency tooth problem. DR. Holcombe identified the issue and provided detailed explanation and treatment.He is a caring and skilled DDS. Highly recommend !

I had a very upsetting experience with receptionist. I was shamed for walking in the door. (Unfortunately, I left my cellphone at home and was unable to call her from my car). The cost/price has double from last year which only added to my distrust of this office. I would rate this as one of my worst dental experiences. I think they should keep their front door locked to prevent all future patients from walking into this office without getting prior approval from that office receptionist/manager. I hope they all are safe from this virus and are able to function normally sometime in the distance future.

The cost/price has doubled from last year for the same procedure which makes me feel like she doubled the cost to cover the lack of patients. The receptionist should keep the front door locked to prevent anyone from accidentally walking into the office. Hopefully, in the distant future when the virus completely under control, they will feel more comfortable and reasonable. I rate this as one of my worst dental experiences.

I recently visited Dr. Holcombe for a sensitive tooth. I thought I knew exactly which tooth was giving me the problem. I thought for sure I had a cracked tooth and a root canal was likely necessary. After xrays and testing of each tooth in the area that was hurting, he determined the tooth was 2 teeth away from the one I thought was hurting. Turns out the existing filling in the affected tooth had very small cracks as the filling was probably 40 years old. Dr. Holcombe replaced the filling and the fix was done. It is a week later and everything is perfect. Great technical knowledge and superb service made my day. I recommend anyone to consider Dr. Holcombe as their dentist.

Great experience! I had a chipped tooth, called in and got an appointment within 3 hours. Dr. Holcombe and his staff took good care of me and an hour later it was all fixed - no pain!

This is the best possible dentist office in Asheville, in North Carolina, or anywhere else you want to go. Everyone is kind and as gentle as possible.
