Dr. Nakamura is kind and extremely professional. The staff are caring and helpful. My daughter had her wisdom teeth extracted. She was nervous but she felt taken care of and she really liked Dr. Nakamura. They sent us home with a "goodie bag" of things my daughter would need for her healing, including specially designed ice packs. The doctor called afterward to check on her healing. (She called personally, not the office staff calling like I had in the past from another dentist.) Later, we had a concern over the weekend when the office was closed, and her voicemail gave the option of leaving her a message directly. She called back within hours and reassured us that our concern was actually a normal part of the healing process. The only downside is that she has limited hours available and you may have to wait a few weeks for an appointment. (I'm not sure if she keeps slots open for emergency extractions.) They also were a little slow in calling my back and responding to emails when I was setting up the appointment. I would still highly recommend her and her office.

Dr. Yakamura's staff are awful. I sat in the waiting room and wasn't acknowledged for over 20 minutes while they (3 of them, 2 women and a man) sat behind the desk and chatted with each other. Our appointment for a consultation was over an hour late. They gave me an estimate range of what I would have to pay and I set up the appointment for surgery. Surgery was fine; but two days later my daughter was in terrible pain and I was sure something was very wrong. There was a lot of swelling in her mouth and she couldn't eat anything. I called the office for help and the doctor was unavailable, she was teaching a class somewhere. Really? You are a surgeon and you are "unavailable" with no one on call? No one ever called me back and I had to take my daughter to her primary care physician. Another co-pay. Two months later I get another bill for over $400. What? Do not go to this surgeon. My daughter still isn't healed 6 months later. The office has offered no help. Update: Dr. Nakmura's office reached out to me to let me know that the staff that was there when my daughter had her surgery has been replaced. They were sincerely apologetic about my experience there and have taken care of the problem. I really appreciate the personal service they have provided and I hope they can get back to giving the patients the care they need.

Dr. Nakamura is a wonderful person and very high accredited surgeon. The procedure was expensive but worth every penny as far as I'm concerned. I'm very happy that she removed my wisdom teeth and would definitely not hesitate to go back there again

Dr. Nakamura is so wonderful. I had to have a tooth extracted and I was very afraid and uncertain. She eased my mind and explained everything in a way that calmed me down and helped to make sure I was comfortable through the whole process. I would recommend her whole heartedly for any oral surgery you need. She's absolute gem!
