Dr. Ma attended dental school at the University of Pennsylvania where she graduated at the top of her class. She then completed her residency in orthodontics at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She teaches orthodontics at the postgraduate orthodontic program at Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
In her practice, Dr. Ma and her team focus on achieving the best result in both aesthetics and function. Dr. Ma stays on the cutting edge of orthodontics through teaching and taking courses on new developments. She is a premier provider of Invisalign. She is also one of the few orthodontists who has completed Roth/Williams and OBI training. She has extensive knowledge and skill in the diagnosis and treatment of bite problems and TMJ disorders that cause malfunction of the chewing system.

Ayaz is a Certified Dental Assistant and he has many years of experience in orthodontic assisting. Ayaz graduated from a dental school with Bachelors Degree in Dentistry. He is a fun loving, compassionate, hard-working team member who dedicates himself to the highest quality care for our patients.
Tooth alignment is cosmetic only, but when we couple it with bite correction, we bring whole health into the picture. While attractive smiles are certainly important, the smile will probably not last without a functional bite and stable TMJ. Many long-term problems of decline and degeneration in the chewing system can be avoided when we focus on the following goals during orthodontic treatment.

What a great experience, and what quality care! I've been seeing Dr. Ma for orthodontics for a little over two years now. As a person who suffered from TMJ problems due to a severe open bite, orthodontics was the only solution. It was extremely important that my orthodontist be an expert in the TMJ as well, otherwise it could make my pain worse. Dr. Ma and her team were so professional, knowledgable, expert, warm, and kind. I had upper Invisalign and lower braces. Dr. Ma accommodated my frequent overseas travels (this was before Covid-19). Everyone was so flexible and kind, and I am happy to say that my TMJ hardly bothers me anymore! My teeth look great! I would recommend her to ANYONE who needs orthodontic work done. Better get it done right the first time so you don't have bad problems set in stone and have to get it redone (my friend is in this situation).

My 15 years old son has been seeing Dr. Ma for two years. We cannot thank her enough for the help. She is professional, kind and always tentative to patients' needs. Her assistants and office staff have also been very helpful. We usually can only go late in the afternoon after school/work and sometimes had to change appointment in the last minute. They were very flexible in accommodating us. I would highly recommend Dr. Ma for any orthodontics work!
