Dr. Lomboy was raised in North Carolina, graduating from the University of North Carolina in 2013 with degrees in Chemistry, Biology, and Entrepreneurship. He attended dental school at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York City where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Immediately following graduation, he pursued his specialty training in orthodontics at the University of Connecticut Health Center. He is trained in metal braces, clear ceramic braces, phase I/interceptive treatment for young children, functional appliances, clear aligners (Invisalign), and orthognathic surgery. He values working closely with patients other dental providers & specialists to ensure the highest quality of treatment. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Lomboy believes in providing quality, compassionate, patient-centered care by treating his patients as he would his own family. His philosophy of orthodontic treatment is to provide quality care while building lasting relationships with his patients by working with them to create beautiful smiles.
Although he enjoyed his time on the East coast, Dr. Lomboy was ready for a change of scenery (and weather) and decided to move to Austin, TX following the completion of his orthodontic residency. Outside of work, he enjoys exploring the Lone Star State and everything it has to offer.
Upon arrival in the US, he acquired his US dental degree (DDS) from UCSF (international dentist program) in San Francisco, CA. He then practiced as a general practitioner for close to ten years before joining the UTHSC Memphis dental school prosthodontics program, where he graduated with a masters degree in dental science and a degree in Prosthodontics. He then joined the UAB (Birmingham, AL) Department of restorative sciences as an assistant professor in the division of prosthodontics. After two years of teaching, he decided to move to his current residence in Texas.
Dr. El-Hassan is married to his wife Nada (a rheumatologist) and a father of 4 lovely children. When not working, Dr. El-Hassan enjoys Painting, spending time with his family, and watching his boys play soccer.

I have had a cracked tooth for over a week now and my current dentist referred me to temple to have it extracted. I couldn't wait until next week, due to being in a lot of pain, so I called total dental and got an appointment for today. I'm terrified of dentists but between Sally and Dr Wahi they did everything they could to keep me calm. Within 30 seconds the tooth was out and I felt NO pain at all!!! I love this place and the staff. I am switching dentists to this place immediately! Best dentist in the area!

I was referred by the VA for dental work. Dr. Wahi and her assistant took great care of me. They put my anxiety at ease making sure that I was completely numbed out before the procedure. I recommend them to everyone. Their staff is super courteous and professional.

At first I had no issues at all with this place. Overall I think they are great, friendly and they very great with the payment plans. Their company is good with adjustments too if you're going through a tough time. Buttt I think that they take on too many patients and it makes the orthodontist too busy for the patients. I am also in the process of moving states and I've been given the run around for over 2 months about my dental plan. Hopefully they fix it before I move because I pay out of pocket for my braces and on top of that I'm pregnant so my teeth are extremely weak right now and the process with this last tooth is taking way longer than it should have. If things change I'll alter my review. But if you're not set to stay in cove dont get braces unless they are willing to work with every circumstance you have to go through.
