Impossible to get thru the phone lines & no answering machine or service after hours- so that's unheard of! But once ur in the office- it's a good experience... Dr's, nurses, etc- mostly all very nice, good & detailed/thorough. Just a shame they haven't corrected their phone sitch or extend their hours...! Update: They billed for services that never took place which messed me up with insurance eligibility for further visits. Had a lot of undoing to do. Nutty office. Maybe that's y Dr isn't there anymore!?! I don't plan on returning... I would've given 3 stars if they didn't fraudulently bill & get me to be assigned to their office for their "free consult with ortho". Scammers!!!

0 Stars. Here is my experience. Waited almost 2 months for this appointment I had requested not to have a panoramic X-ray but a bite wing due to the fact that I was only having tooth number 2 .extracted but was denied and told I must get the panoramic X-ray. Once done with that I was escorted to the exam room where Dr Jonathan Cohen came in advised that my teeth were very, very bad and I need much work to which I replied I'm only here for tooth number 2 to be extracted. I was offended his poor bedside manner immediately. He proceeded to lower the exam table and asked me to tilt my head toward him and without warning or oral anesthetic advanced the novocaine syringe into the roof of my mouth while novocaine dripped down my the back of my throat, then he proceeds to perform what I thought was to be a complete extraction and said you're done approximately 3 minutes later and left the room. The assistant cleaned me up and I was sent home. On 10/04/2022 I went to a different oral surgeon for another oral procedure in which panoramic X-ray was necessary and was denied by my insurance due to the fact that I was made to have a panoramic X-ray at your facility. I had the panoramic X-ray regardless which revealed the roots of tooth number 2 that was "extracted". I don't know about the other oral surgeons at this practice but would definitely avoid Dr Jonathan Cohen at any and all costs.

The worst place to go the doctors are lazy and stretch out work that can be done in 1 visit over multiple.the front desk staff is rude beyond your wildest dreams.Totally unprofessional and dismissive of patients and their issues. Be prepared to be hung up on, have your appointment canceled with an hour notice or less, and be talked down to if you are at all late or have to reschedule. This experience was not a one time thing it's an ongoing problem. I would rather hammer my own tooth out then to deal with your smile dental of freeport where you enter with a toothache and leave with a toothache and headache

Just started coming to this office and I must admit that I'm not a very happy camper. My root canal went well and I had no pain after it, however the lack of communication at this office is beyond horrible. Why have phones if no one hardly answers them and if they do answer they leave you on hold forever. Not only that but why give someone an appointment at 1:45 if the staff is off for lunch til 2 and refuses to see u even a minute before 2pm. The first time I came I also had to make them fix the way my tooth looked after the root canal Bc it looked horrible.

I was given an appointment 3 weeks ago. I explained to them that I have broken tooth with pain. I was waiting for this appointment and one day before they called me to cancel the appointment and they gave another appointment for another 2 weeks. The girl who called me didn't even give me a reason for the cancellation, by the way she had an attitude. Very unprofessional, loud burped in my ears with apologizing. And she is talking very relaxed just like I m her girlfriend walking in the park. Very very unprofessional....

Where do I begin... first I had an appointment with them last month which they canceled 2 hours prior to my appointment. They rescheduled my appointment for 9:45am. I decided to just give them another chance. I received a call from them two days prior to my appointment stating if they could move me to a 10:45 slot which I complied. Appointment date arrives and I arrive at the scheduled time. After sitting in the waiting room for about 25 minutes I overhear a conversation between the front desk and assistant to get me in a room because I've been waiting for a while. They continue on about how the dentist had a patient who needed a number of procedures done. At this point they could have communicated with me about the wait time to allow me to make a decision about what to do but chose n not to. I continue to wait and about 45 mins later am called in where they proceeded to do xray and have me sit in the chair to wait for the hygienist. I continue to wait and no communication is given on how much longer and everyone seems to be moving at whatever pace they would like. I communicated with front desk that I was extremely upset and frustrated with the lack of communication. When I finally get my teeth cleaned the hygienist was rude even while he was apologizing and rushed my cleaning job. This is probably due to my complaints to front desk. I will not be returning and would give zero stars if I could for their unprofessionalism.

Very experienced staff. Hygienist took a lot of care with me and dealt with my fears for cleaning thorough exam. I noted a new doormat is needed, as well as the outside door was old and missing a handle.. the inside needs new furniture and there was a stale smell in the waiting area otherwise I would recommend this place for service and courtesy.
