Ronald Saffar, DDS, is a board-certified orthodontist and the owner and founder of My Orthodontist, a practice with locations throughout New Jersey, including Deptford Township, Lawrenceville, Cliffside park, Bayonne, West New York, East Orange, Cherry Hill, and Patterson, as well as Langhorne, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Saffar specializes in managing challenging orthodontic cases including patients requiring jaw surgery in addition to conventional orthodontics. By creating beautiful smiles, hes able to fulfill his passion for making positive changes in peoples lives.
Dr. Saffar earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from New York University School of Medicine in New York City, where he also received additional training in orthodontics at the postgraduate level. Afterward, he stayed at NYU School of Medicine to complete a six-month surgical orthodontics fellowship to subspecialize in surgical orthodontics.
As an active and respected member of the greater dental community, Dr. Saffar is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, Mercer County Dental Society, Hudson County Dental Society, and Mid Atlantic Dental Society.
Dr. Saffar makes his home in Belle Mead, New Jersey, with his wife Parissa and their daughter Nikki. When hes not working or spending time with family and friends, he enjoys exercising, meditating, traveling, skiing, and playing tennis, golf, chess, and piano.

The staff is friendly. The best part is that we don't have to wait long like the other places. Would definitely recommend

Great place. Absolutely love the front desk staff, especially the super nice gentleman who is there every single time we go. Always super nice and helpful. Never seems bothered when we have extra requests. Most of the orthodontist assistants are nice as well. My daughter had 1 girl there who was not too friendly, but we haven't seen her there the last few appts so perhaps she is no longer there. The orthodontists there that we have met so far are all so nice and know what they are doing. The only issue I've ever ran into there is a couple billing problems in the beginning of my daughter's visits, but those were resolved. And we find it very difficult to get call backs if she runs into problems with a broken bracket or wire. We usually don't get a call back and end up waiting until our next appt. But other than that, they are awesome there!

More frustration than they're worth, go somewhere else! The staff are very nice but I'm calling about a scheduling emergency and no one is answering the phone, I called the number on their website and it says it's an unavailable number, appointments that are scheduled for say 3:00 start at 3:15 - 3:30, people who enter after I arrive are seen before I am more than a handful of times, some of the staff are gossiping while working on me, and the only PA branch is only open on Tuesdays, so if a scheduling conflict arises there's no way to call until the day of unless I know the week before. If your insurance only covers Pennsylvania providers DO NOT GO HERE ITS TOO FRUSTRATING!!!!

Staff is rude,never return calls,they see you standing at the front desk so they pretend to be busy, I stood there bout 15 mins while the staff had a conversation about their weekend. I will be switching offices real soon.

This worst experience ever..... They speak to you from a sitting position no one ever get up and meet you and the counter. They fail to fully communicate the entire process. Take your money and then want to have side conversation with each other. The entire staff needs to be retained. I will never refer anyone, not even my dog.

They took me back right at my appointment time, barely any wait after check in. The lady who took my photos was VERY professional and helpful. She made the process fun! The gentleman who came back to talk my insurance with me was also professional, and direct. He listened to my concerns and worked out a solid plan with the doctor we were all happy with And THE DOCTOR! Very knowledgeable, very friendly, such a positive attitude. Overall I genuinely enjoyed my visit with this office and very much recommend them.

Staff members are rude and extremely unprofessional. If I could give zero stars I would. I wish I had read the reviews beforehand. 90% of the time there is a wait of 40 minutes to an hour or longer from your appointment time. I assume this is due to the office only being open one day a week and they want to get as many people in and out to collect. I have never had a positive experience here. If I hadn't already started treatment for the both of us I would go elsewhere. I could elaborate on multiple scenarios however my advice is to save yourself the aggravation and disappointment. Avoid this place!!!!

Raquel is a very nasty receptionist. She gave my mother a hard time about getting a receipt for the copay. She was so rude and disrespectful to my mother. Other front desk staff are not very helpful or friendly. They don't give copies of x-rays to you when you need them by pretending their computers don't work. However, the orthodontists and all the dental assistants are pretty awesome and friendly to be around.

I took my daughter for her first visit at this office last week. They were all so nice there. The office manager was so understanding & helpful as we were having major issues dealing with our former orthodontist office. It definitely was a very caring environment. I'm hoping she will be able to finish out here treatment here.

I felt that everyone was extremely nice by telling me everything that was to happen to my daughter as far as her visit there. Dr. Chen was so nice like her staff, she also taking the time to refer her to a oral to do other work I really did like the service that she received and would recommend my friends to visit

The ortho dropped the drill on my face when he was taking my braces off and also broke one of my teeth. Had a horrible experience with braces and this orthodontist. Don't recommend this place enough.
