Dr. Scott Baur is a graduate of Harvard University, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Genetics. He then attended the University of Florida for his Endodontic training and graduated in 2007. Dr. Baur practiced for over 8 years as an Endodontist in the Tampa and Spring Hill areas before moving to Southwest Florida. Dr. Baur is Board Certified by the American Board of Endodontics.
Immediately after graduating from his residency program at the University of Florida in 2007, Dr. Baur joined his mentor, Dr. Garland Forbes, atForbes Endodontics as an associate and worked in offices located in Dunedin, New Port Richey and Spring Hill. Dr. Baur purchased the Spring Hill office from Dr. Forbes in 2010 and shortly thereafter brought on a second endodontist, Dr. Heydrich, as a partner. After successfully growing the practice together, Dr. Baur sold his share of the practice to Dr. Heydrichin 2016 and relocated to the Bonita Springs area and established Your Endodontic Specialist.
Dr. Baur has served as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of the Department of Endodontics at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, and is amember of theAmerican Dental Association, Florida Dental Association and West Coast District Dental Association. Dr. Baur has also served as President of the Hernando County Dental Association.
Dr. Baur is originally from Northern Utah where he attended Weber State University for his undergraduate degree. Dr. Baur has lived in Utah, Ohio, Massachusetts and now Florida. Outside of the office, Scott enjoys fishing, camping, boating and just being outdoors with his wife, 2 children and 2 boxers.
