Ive found the majority of our patients come to us with some degree of dental fear. I strongly believe half of my career is providing the best dental treatment for each patient; the other half is helping each work through their anxiety.
By offering comfortable, patient-centered care, really listening, and watching body language, Im able to provide reassurance and encouragement. When a patient tells me they didnt feel any discomfort and are looking forward to coming back, I am happy.
I think each person we meet has his or her own strengths. The best way to improve myself is to observe and learn from each person I meet. I love hearing new and interesting life stories. We serve a diverse group of remarkable people and I look forward to building strong relationships with them.

Dr. Du is a lifelong learner. She believes her patients deserve the highest level of modern, gentle dental care that improves their lives. By seeking out continuing dental education courses, she remains current on new technologies, materials, and techniques. Dr. Du is an active member of the Northwest Chinese Dental Association Study Club.
After growing up in Inner Mongolia, China, Dr. Du moved to Bellevue, WA when she was 18. She and her husband, Dr. Joseph Szabo, live in Bothell, WA, with Leo and Landon, their young boys. The family also has two dogs, Cocoa and Mocha, who are Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.
Dr. Szabo grew up and lived in West Seattle until he moved to Ann Arbor, MI, for dental school. He then lived in Perrysburg, OH, before returning to the Pacific Northwest. He now lives in Bothell, WA, with his wife and best part of his life Dr. Cindy Du. Theyhave two young sons, Leo, who loves to eat and occasionally scream at the top of his lungs, and Landon who is growing quickly! The family is rounded out by their two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Cocoa and Mocha.
When hes not in the office and seeing patients, Dr. Szabo is working at home: studying, learning, and taking continuing education courses. Once thats done, its family time. He enjoys taking Cindy,Leo, and Landon around town, trying new restaurants, and on various adventures. They love spending time at the park and traveling.
With her warm smile and gentle manner, Betty helps even the most nervous patient relax. She enjoys getting to know patients on a personal level and developing relationships with them. Betty assists with procedures while making sure our patient is comfortable. She also takes study models and X-rays, sterilizes instruments, and helps in our front office.
Julie likes making sure everyone feels welcomed and at home during visits. She enjoys answering questions, explaining procedures, and putting a patient at ease. She knows a relaxed patient is going to have the best visit. Working in the front, Julie supports the doctor and patient. She also teaches patients about oral hygiene and post-op care.
Friendly and open, Jan makes sure her patients have painless, positive hygiene visits. She spends a lot of time educating patients on their dental needs and helping them understand the connection of their mouth and body. Working together, they figure out the best homecare approach for that persons needs. Jan genuinely enjoys working with every member of our teama sentiment that is definitely mutual!
Jeans soft-spoken, gentle manner helps patients learn theyre in safe, professional hands. She listens to patients concerns, coaches them through any anxiety, and encourages them to care for their smile. By concentrating on each patients unique dental health, and their life and hobbies, Jeans able to find the best home oral hygiene processes and tools for that person.
Cyndi discovered her love and passion for dentistry by growing as a dental assistant for Ka'amaina Dental Associates back in 2004. Originally from Kailua, Hawaii, Cyndi and her husband moved to Washington in 2009 to start their new life and family! Now, with their family of two girls and little boy, they enjoy mountain biking, movies, and spending quality time together as a family. Cyndi graduated at the top of her class from Bellingham Technical College as an Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary.

Dr Szabo Joseph is an extremely good professional dentist. He know to explain in detail the procedure, I felt very comfortable during the procedure. I'm recommending him as a dentist to everyone.

Dr. Szabo has great "bedside" manner; very respectful, kind and gentle. He is the only dentist I've ever had that is able to inject the local anesthetic without it causing a painful bite. His dental work is part science and part artist. A shoutout as well to the dental assistants, hygienist and office staff; all are friendly and top notch.

Staff is very friendly, professional, wonderful. Dr.s are Great!! I'm very fearful of dentist, hate to go, But both Dentist are extremely patient and calming . Very happy with the work I have had done. I wish I found them sooner!! Highly recommend ! Update, been going to this Dentist office now for 3+ years now. My teeth and gums were bad when I started coming here. ( I had not gone to a dentist for a long time )But thanks to their help my teeth and gums are so much better! I trust them and now I am not fearful of coming to the dentist. The whole Staff is very patient friendly and very knowledgeable .

The kindest and friendliest office you will ever go to! I recently had my routine cleaning with Jean and could not have received better care. She was gentle and very thorough! The entire staff is great, and Dr. Szabo and Dr. Du are exceptional dentists!

By far the best dentist I've been to. I love coming here. It feels like family, everyone is so kind. The entire staff went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and welcomed. I just had my cleaning done. I enjoyed it so much. My hygienist Jean was so awesome she made sure my teeth looked shiny. The doctors are amazing and extremely skilled , they truly care about their patients, and they never fail to put a smile on my face. I can't wait to come back, I'm already counting down the days till my next cleaning:) If you're looking for a place that feels like home but also a place that gives you the smile of your dreams, there is simply no better practice to go to than Your Dentist in Monroe. Great experience! I have always had a big fear of going to the dentist. The office staff and both dentists are very gentle! I was referred by another friend who had similar trauma with previous dentists. Today at my cleaning I didn't even need the gas or medication to calm my nerves. I highly recommend this office.

I will never go anywhere else! This practice has set the bar for me! I hadn't been to the dentist/hygienist in a decade but no one made me feel bad about it. The massage chair in the lobby immediately takes the anxiety edge off for me, and the nitrous does the rest! Jan is amazing! I'm so grateful to have found this practice so close to home. Who would have thought I actually look forward to going to the dentist!!! Cannot recommend them enough
