Silver Spring Family Dentistry was founded over 35 years ago by Dr. Young J. Lee with the vision of creating a dental practice that treats every patient with dignity and first-rate care. Our office is highly trained and exceptionally friendly. We understand that for many, visiting a dentist can be a stressful experience. Our comfortable surroundings and compassionate dental professionals will ease your fears.
Dr. Christine Lee Kimearned her BA degree in Biology at Cornell University.She then graduated with honors and received her DDS degree at University of Maryland Dental School and continued there to complete her residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association, and Southern Maryland Dental Association. Dr. Kim has been practicing for over 17 years. She enjoys treating families from toddlers all the way to seniors. She is a firm believer in teaching good oral health right from the start. Dr. Kim also has great interest and experience in cosmetic dentistry and crown & bridge rehabilitation.
Growing up inthis neighborhood has provided strong ties tothe Silver Springcommunity.When shes not working, Dr. Kim enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. With her family she loves going to the ballpark to cheer on her favorite team, the World Series Champions-the Washington Nationals.
Dr. Young J. Lee received his DDS degree at Seoul National University and at the School of Dentistry, State University of New York at Buffalo. Next, he completed a post-graduate program in Removable Prosthodontics, also at SUNY Buffalo. He trained further in a residency program in Maxillofacial Prosthetics at Roswell Park Memorial Institute in Buffalo, NY.He then served as an Associate Professor in the Prosthodontic Department at the School of Dentistry, West Virginia University for five years. Dr. Lee recently retired from practice and now enjoys travelling and pursuing his passion of photography. Dr. Christine Lee Kim was recommended to our family by a coworker. We have been with her for about a year. The office is extremely responsive when you have an emergency. They follow-up twice a year to schedule our cleanings and when you go to the office they are extremely COVID-19 aware and follow all the protocols to keep us all safe. I had a wonderful experience (as much as one can at the dentist ) with Dr. Kim! She was thorough, listened well, and did the cleaning herself. The office felt welcoming and the staff person at the front was awesome! If you don't need major work, you'll be in and out.

Dr Lee Kim was very kind and professional. She had a great way of gently encouraging better habits without making you feel bad. I also appreciated that the facility was very clean, some dental offices never take a close look at their own work spaces.

I was referred to this office by a dear friend. She assured me that I would experience amazing service and top tier care. Well I want to say from the time I arrived to me leaving it was nothing less than exceptional. Dr. Christine Lee took amazing care of me. I was very anxious to go to the dentist but the office is very calm and peaceful, all of the furniture and walls are calming colors, the receptionist is very helpful, Dr Kim is kind and knowledgeable, and everyone was very respectful to me and my service dog. I recommend going here if you have anxiety and need a calming environment.
