Dr. Christopher Young graduated from the University of Utah where he studied medical biology. He went on to study dentistry at New York University. Dr. Young immediately began serving our community with their dental needs and has been in practice for over 16 years. He has become highly accomplished in wisdom teeth extraction, invisible braces, dentures, bridges and crowns. He is on staff in Utah Valleys hospitals and surgical centers. Dr. Young works in our Orem office on Monday and Thursday, in our American Fork office on Tuesday and Friday, and in our West Jordan office on Wednesday.
Dr. Michael Loeser is a graduate of Brighton High School. He received his B.S. Degree in medical biology from the University of Utah, where he was in Phi Eta Sigma and the Golden Key Honor Society. He is a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He enjoys mountain biking, wakeboarding, and snowboarding. Dr. Loeser works every Thursday in our American Fork office.
Dr. Paige Allen is a Utah native. She graduated with a bachelor degree from Weber State and then received a DDS degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond Virginia in 2001.She furthered her dental education by attending a dental hospital residency in Indianapolis after dental school. Dr. White has practiced dentistry in Utah and Oregon. She currently resides in Utah County with her husband and three children. She enjoys running, swimming, biking, and playing sports with her family. Dr. White works in our Orem office on Wednesday and Thursday and every other Saturday in American Fork.
Dr. Ritchie Pelton has lived most of his life in Utah County. He became a second generation dentist by receiving his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from UNLV. He has been with Young Family Dental, since 2014 and takes pride in his work, ensuring the best quality dental care is available to each one of his patients. Dr. Pelton stays up to date on all the current dental techniques in order to provide his patients with all general procedures, in addition to root canals, and cosmetic dentistry such as crowns, bridges, dentures and implants. He is on staff at the Riverwoods and Lone Peak Surgical Centers in order to conduct procedures under general anesthesia. Dr. Pelton currently serves in the Army National Guard and provides dental exams to our local soldiers.
Dr. Pung is a graduate of the USC School of Dentistry, and has been practicing dentistry for over 22 years and is a member of the American Dental Association. Dr. Pung believes that each and every patient deserves thorough, personalized attention and care. His patients appreciate the time he spends with them to answer all of their questions and concerns. Dr. Pungs dental expertise, talent and artistic abilities combine to provide his patients with beautiful cosmetic dentistry as well as a full range of dental services. Active in their church and community, Dr. Pung and his family enjoy gourmet cooking, participating in musical activities, and spending quality time together. He is the father of six children and the grandfather of four. Dr. Pung works in our Riverton office on Thursday and Saratoga Springs on Friday, with occasional Saturdays in Riverton or Saratoga Springs.
Dr. Hemmert attended the University of Utah for his undergraduate studies and went on to the University of Toronto for his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He is a native Utah County resident and has been practicing dentistry since 2003. For several years, he has been a part of the Young Family Dental team, providing excellent dental care in to the community. Dr. Hemmert highly excels in cosmetic dentistry, especially implants. He was awarded a Fellowship from the International Congress Oral Implantologists in the advancement of implant dentistry. His goal is to achieve optimal oral health for all of his patients, and thoroughly enjoys making people feel good about themselves through their improved smile. Dr. Hemmert regularly volunteers with homeless dental clinics, as well as many state and national dental programs.
Dr. Workman graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in 2001. He did additional training in pediatric dentistry at Rainbow Babies Children Hospital in Ohio, as well as Primary Childrens Hospital in Salt Lake City. Dr. Workman does all manner of general dentistry and root canal therapy but worked exclusively in cosmetic dentistry for several years making him extremely proficient in this field. He also has extensive knowledge with clear brace orthodontics and has handled numerous cases.
Dr. Park completed his undergraduate work at Westminister College in Salt Lake City. He furthered his education by gaining a dental degree from the New York University and graduated in 2004. Following dental school, he served in a residency program which gave him expertise in endodontics. Although Dr. Park performs all general dentistry procedures, he really gets pleasure from the challenge and thoroughness of root canal work, and cosmetic restoration of crowns and bridges. He finds achieving optimal oral health for his patients very rewarding and likes working with both children and adults. Dr. Park enjoys the congenial atmosphere of Young Family Dental, and has been with the practice for over eleven years.
Dr. Lloyd is a Utah native and glad to be serving his fellow Utahns dental needs. Dr. Lloyd grew up in Draper and graduated from Alta High School in Sandy. He completed his bachelors degree in biology and chemistry at the University of Utah. Dr. Lloyd continued his education at the Oklahoma University College of Dentistry where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He thoroughly enjoys helping patients understand the nature and progression of oral and dental disease as a means of encouraging them to take charge of their health. Dr. Lloyd provides a wide array of dental services to patients of all ages, but particularly finds the challenge of root canals rewarding. He also loves seeing the transformation that cosmetic procedures like veneers and crowns can do for a patients self-esteem. Dr. Lloyd spends his free time with his family exploring nature, playing the piano, and immersing himself in a good book or video game.

I was being lazy about my teeth care lately and I had a deep clean and a few carvings done in young family dental. It was a very nice total experience with these guys, super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

I didn't feel welcome at all and I was very confused on staff I never in my life been to a clinic that has dental assistant not in scrubs I was confused who was who. I feel from staff there was so much tension . The dentist was very kind and very knowledgeable but, I will be taking my procedure somewhere else due to there staff and overpriced on my procedure since I'm self pay.

I called for 2 new patient appointments but the first available appointment wasn't until November. However, Kristina was went above and beyond and managed to get us in same day! Upon arriving, the front desk staff was friendly and professional. The office itself is very welcoming and warm. The dental assistants were all very friendly and seem to work very well together. All of them super attentive and made myself and children feel welcomed and important. The Dentist was awesome, super fast and efficient. Already scheduled the next two appointments. Absolutely recommend to family and anyone seeking dental care in WJ.

Young Family Dental are amazing. The staff are very kind and knowledgeable. The doctors are very gentle. They honor pronouns too! My child just had a minor emergency with a wisdom tooth extraction sight. We drove over to see if anyone happened to be there after hours. Dr. Smith was leaving to go home. He gladly helped my child with kindness and professionalism even though The Wisdom Teeth Guys did the surgery. (They are awesome too) I am very grateful for his help. He really saved the day!

I went to get two cavities filled last week. I felt everything was rushed that morning and that I was an inconvenience even though they scheduled me a week earlier. I was in and out in thirty minutes. When I got up after the dentist was done, it looked like a war room. All the needles from numbing me were left out in the open and Scattered. All the the Utensils were everywhere. The dentist that did the work you could hear in his voice he didn't agree with the previous dentist findings. I was numb for 6 hours afterwards. Then the whole area has been hurting for week now. I had a lisp when talking for over four days. I went back and they couldn't find nothing wrong. Even a week later I can't even floss in that area with out a lot of pain. I didn't have any pain before the procedure and now I'm in pain. I have had cavities filled in the past with zero issues.

Used to be a good place. I think the saddest part is that they have always been so good to work with, professional, good dentists, hygienists and staff, and now, 3 months to get in. Well, I guess the staffing shortages are hitting everywhere?

We were ten minutes late today. They didn't make a big deal about it. This meant a lot because we are down to one car and have to car pool; taking my daughter to work right before taking my son to his dental appointment. This made my day. Upon arriving we were checked right in. The service was seamless and the hygienist and dentist were nice and friendly. I would highly recommend Young Family Dental!!!

No no no! DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE ANXIETY OR A FEAR OF THE DENTIST. I have had lots of work done by YFD (a different location), I went here to see what was wrong with my tooth. I was crying because I have anxiety and was scared. The dentist would not even talk to me until xrays were done, despite seeing the terror on my face (Dr.Workman). The assistant was RUDE. She told me " you are too difficult to even do this, if i'm being honest you shouldnt have even came in today. I usually don't give patients this long to get things done." She then brought in another male assistant who told me I had to leave after only being in the room for 10/15 minutes. They said they had other patients to get to and to not come back until I took dentistry seriously. He stayed in the room making sure I didn't stay another second. At one point the assistant took out all the dental tools and said " look how sharp these are, they are way worse than the xrays" all of This only made my fear of the dentist worse. Why would you kick someone out for being scared?! My aunt worked at this company for YEARS and now I see why she left.

I just visited Young Family Dental in West Jordan for the very first time today. It was an exceptional experience. I would highly recommend anyone who is in need of dental cleanings to see Monica at Young Family Dental in Wet Jordan. Kind and caring people, clean and orderly environment and best of all they take time to listen to any concerns about anything I had. Monica, the hygienist was amazing as well as the dentist himself! The receptionist at the front desk were kind and considerate as well all my questions were addressed and answered. So weird to say I just had a great time at the dentist, it is the truth!

PLEASE READ! I never write reviews, but unfortunately after what I went through at Young Family Dental, I feel obligated to do so. I am 87 years old and I went to see Dr. Samuel Lloyd for denture work. For almost one year, I went back and forth to this clinic because the dentures Dr. Samuel Lloyd gave me were terrible. Each time it only got worse. Even though I told him I was unable to eat with the dentures he gave me, he basically said, "We can't help you anymore because we only have one dental mechanic on staff." When I asked him kindly to please return my money, because I needed it to go to another dentist if they could not help me, he refused and said, "Sorry, I did my job." He did not seem to care about the fact that I obviously cannot work due to my age, and honestly cannot afford to lose this kind of money. He instead told me, "I told you to get a tooth implant, not dentures!" If he genuinely thought that I needed teeth implants instead of dentures, why would he take my money to do the dentures in the first place? This whole experience has left me sad and disappointed. Please find another honest doctor to go to for your dental needs.
