Dr. Christopher Young graduated from the University of Utah where he studied medical biology. He went on to study dentistry at New York University. Dr. Young immediately began serving our community with their dental needs and has been in practice for over 16 years. He has become highly accomplished in wisdom teeth extraction, invisible braces, dentures, bridges and crowns. He is on staff in Utah Valleys hospitals and surgical centers. Dr. Young works in our Orem office on Monday and Thursday, in our American Fork office on Tuesday and Friday, and in our West Jordan office on Wednesday.
Dr. Michael Loeser is a graduate of Brighton High School. He received his B.S. Degree in medical biology from the University of Utah, where he was in Phi Eta Sigma and the Golden Key Honor Society. He is a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He enjoys mountain biking, wakeboarding, and snowboarding. Dr. Loeser works every Thursday in our American Fork office.
Dr. Paige Allen is a Utah native. She graduated with a bachelor degree from Weber State and then received a DDS degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond Virginia in 2001.She furthered her dental education by attending a dental hospital residency in Indianapolis after dental school. Dr. White has practiced dentistry in Utah and Oregon. She currently resides in Utah County with her husband and three children. She enjoys running, swimming, biking, and playing sports with her family. Dr. White works in our Orem office on Wednesday and Thursday and every other Saturday in American Fork.
Dr. Ritchie Pelton has lived most of his life in Utah County. He became a second generation dentist by receiving his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from UNLV. He has been with Young Family Dental, since 2014 and takes pride in his work, ensuring the best quality dental care is available to each one of his patients. Dr. Pelton stays up to date on all the current dental techniques in order to provide his patients with all general procedures, in addition to root canals, and cosmetic dentistry such as crowns, bridges, dentures and implants. He is on staff at the Riverwoods and Lone Peak Surgical Centers in order to conduct procedures under general anesthesia. Dr. Pelton currently serves in the Army National Guard and provides dental exams to our local soldiers.
Dr. Pung is a graduate of the USC School of Dentistry, and has been practicing dentistry for over 22 years and is a member of the American Dental Association. Dr. Pung believes that each and every patient deserves thorough, personalized attention and care. His patients appreciate the time he spends with them to answer all of their questions and concerns. Dr. Pungs dental expertise, talent and artistic abilities combine to provide his patients with beautiful cosmetic dentistry as well as a full range of dental services. Active in their church and community, Dr. Pung and his family enjoy gourmet cooking, participating in musical activities, and spending quality time together. He is the father of six children and the grandfather of four. Dr. Pung works in our Riverton office on Thursday and Saratoga Springs on Friday, with occasional Saturdays in Riverton or Saratoga Springs.
Dr. Hemmert attended the University of Utah for his undergraduate studies and went on to the University of Toronto for his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He is a native Utah County resident and has been practicing dentistry since 2003. For several years, he has been a part of the Young Family Dental team, providing excellent dental care in to the community. Dr. Hemmert highly excels in cosmetic dentistry, especially implants. He was awarded a Fellowship from the International Congress Oral Implantologists in the advancement of implant dentistry. His goal is to achieve optimal oral health for all of his patients, and thoroughly enjoys making people feel good about themselves through their improved smile. Dr. Hemmert regularly volunteers with homeless dental clinics, as well as many state and national dental programs.
Dr. Workman graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in 2001. He did additional training in pediatric dentistry at Rainbow Babies Children Hospital in Ohio, as well as Primary Childrens Hospital in Salt Lake City. Dr. Workman does all manner of general dentistry and root canal therapy but worked exclusively in cosmetic dentistry for several years making him extremely proficient in this field. He also has extensive knowledge with clear brace orthodontics and has handled numerous cases.
Dr. Park completed his undergraduate work at Westminister College in Salt Lake City. He furthered his education by gaining a dental degree from the New York University and graduated in 2004. Following dental school, he served in a residency program which gave him expertise in endodontics. Although Dr. Park performs all general dentistry procedures, he really gets pleasure from the challenge and thoroughness of root canal work, and cosmetic restoration of crowns and bridges. He finds achieving optimal oral health for his patients very rewarding and likes working with both children and adults. Dr. Park enjoys the congenial atmosphere of Young Family Dental, and has been with the practice for over eleven years.
Dr. Lloyd is a Utah native and glad to be serving his fellow Utahns dental needs. Dr. Lloyd grew up in Draper and graduated from Alta High School in Sandy. He completed his bachelors degree in biology and chemistry at the University of Utah. Dr. Lloyd continued his education at the Oklahoma University College of Dentistry where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He thoroughly enjoys helping patients understand the nature and progression of oral and dental disease as a means of encouraging them to take charge of their health. Dr. Lloyd provides a wide array of dental services to patients of all ages, but particularly finds the challenge of root canals rewarding. He also loves seeing the transformation that cosmetic procedures like veneers and crowns can do for a patients self-esteem. Dr. Lloyd spends his free time with his family exploring nature, playing the piano, and immersing himself in a good book or video game.

Carissa is the best Hygienist I've ever had! I do mean ever! She is very thoughtful, thorough and kind! My teeth always feels so clean and cared for. I'm pretty meticulous with my teeth and I can tell the difference from previous offices in the past! Carissa is the best at what she does.

The best period. As a young lad I didn't take very great care of my teeth especially engaging in aggressive sports. I had a broken tooth in pain for a week stubborn to get it fixed or extracted however the pain was to much even after many failed attempts to extract it myself I finally decided to call young family dental Riverton, and I am glad I did. I called at 8am and talked with Aspen I let her know my discomfort and she got me in right away for an X-ray and a simple extraction of the infected tooth. The team there greeted me so kindly the dentist is amazing and they all made me feel comfortable. If you are scared of the dentist like I was, you don't have to be at Young Family Dentist because they use kid gloves for all ages :)

I just want to say that Corisa is that most amazing dental hygienist in the world. I've never had a any teeth issues my whole life and I had to get a tooth pulled and she took my anxiety level from peak to pretty low and she did it so naturally and efficiently. Honestly, if it weren't for her.. this review would probably look much different. Shout out to Corisa for being the star that makes that office shine.

My and my wife's experience with this location was horrible. We scheduled an appointment for a cleaning. When we arrived they asked if we had ever been to their location. We hadn't and assumed that all young family dental offices shared the same info. We were wrong. (Minor inconvenience) she had us fill out paperwork. They had called my wife back, while I sat in front and waited. All the while their receptionist Lisa was huffing and puffing and very clearly complaining to the dentist about us. "See this is why you just don't bounce around!" Gasping and it sounded as though she is not very friendly over the phone either. I understand each person carries their own baggage but to complain blatantly about a client in front of said client is just unbelievably unprofessional. Anyway. . . After that they called me back. The assistant told me we were getting check-ups, not cleanings. So confused I asked why (because our appointment was for cleaning) they simply told us that they didn't have any hygienists that day. So why were we schedule for a cleaning that day? And while the taste of this has sent us to a different office, we asked that our appointments be cancelled and instead of asking for future appointments or checking for any issue she immediately asked if she was, "deactivating our account." Gees... really? While I appreciate the work that they do in these offices every day, I did not appreciate having to take time from work to find out basically it was a waste of my time and then the insult to be talked about behind the counter in such a manner. I really hope you guys can take the constructive criticism from this and improve for the masses.

Coming from someone that is absolutely terrified of the dentist, I don't feel that at all at the YFD Riverton office! The best part there absolutely no judgement. I have to give huge praise to Corisa (dental hygienist) she went above and beyond making sure my appointment was comfortable and fun. For sure you all need to check this dentist family!

I went here for teeth removal Medicaid accepted. I was really treated well, was sent home with instructions and most places I have been have made me feel uncomfortable not here the staff was very nice and helpful.

Dentist are generally good Had to have a replacement crown done that was originally done by Dr.Pelton - frustrating thing is I have had a small hole that I have been mentioning that no one has been able to see tell me what was wrong. Dr.Workman quickly came in noticed and fixed that issue and replaced the crown. Lisa from front office staff is extremely rude will hang up on you and not help with questions for billing/pricing. Said I should be happy they gave a discount for a crown replacement at all. My crown replacement is also a completely different color than my other teeth Don't recommend for consistency you will see a different dentist almost every time you come. Also do not recommend for children. Very plain office no extras. Not the most outgoing or friendly staff they definitely do the bare minimum to make you feel comfortable and cared for. If you do come Dr. Workman is who I would recommend. Overall very lackluster experience Will be moving forward with a new dental office.

This place is a scam, they'll do and say anything to get you in the chair to tack on costs. Dentist is unpleasant as well. If I could give less stars I would. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

My wife recommended Young Family Dental in Riverton, and she was correct -- the staff is friendly and efficient. I had the most thorough cleaning ever, and the dental assistant, Carissa, was outstanding. 5 stars for her!
