Dr. Gilsun Yu received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S) degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry Milwaukee, WI in 2004. Dr. Yu started his career in a community clinic in Tacoma, WA where he was a full time dentist serving the communities in Pierce County. During that time, in order to better understand healthcare environment, he pursued and received his MBA degree from University of Phoenix with a focus in healthcare management.
Dr. Yu believes in minimally invasive dentistry, and he focuses on providing a light touch on his patients. Dr. Yu is a member of American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association and Pierce County Dental Society.
Dr. Yu was born in South Korea, and he came to the U. S when he was 19. He is happily married with two sons, and he enjoys rainy, cool weather in Pacific Northwest. Outside the office, he usually spends time with family. He enjoys playing golf whenever his parents are in town, and he loves watching sports games, especially baseball.
