Dr. Michael Yost is a native of the San Antonio area. He graduated with cum laude honors from Texas A&M University, then graduated with summa cum laude honors from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio School of Dentistry in 2006. Dr. Mike completed his residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio School of Dentistry in 2008 before joining his father at Yost Pediatric Dentistry.
He is a board-certified pediatric dentist and a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, San Antonio District Dental Society, and the San Antonio Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
When not at the office Dr. Mike stays active running, biking, swimming, and occasionally competes in triathlons. He enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters at the lake, in the mountains or any other interesting destination. He is also a passionate Aggie fan.
Dr. Clyde Yost has been practicing pediatric dentistry in San Antonio for more than 30 years. He attended Texas A&I University before attending dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. After graduating, he went on to complete a residency in pediatric dentistry at UTHSCSA. In 1981 Dr. Yost opened his practice on San Antonios Southside and has been treating children in the San Antonio area ever since.
He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, San Antonio District Dental Society, and the San Antonio Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Lina Cardenas is a board-certified pediatric dentist. She graduated first in her dental class obtaining a Doctorate in Dental Surgery at CES University in Colombia. She practiced three years as a general dentist.
Dr. Cardenas love for treating children, and the special connection that the little ones had with her, encouraged her to become a pediatric dentist. She traveled to Nagasaki University and received a combined degree in pediatric dentistry with a PhD in Dental Science. Following that, she completed a combined three-year specialty training in pediatric dentistry/Master of Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, one of the most respected programs in the United States.
She obtained her second dental degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Cardenas was a full-time faculty member at UT Health Science Center at San Antonio and Chair of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Community Oral Health at the University of Tennessee. She always kept along a busy clinical practice. Currently, she holds an adjunct faculty position at UT and helps with pediatric residents education.
Dr. Cardenas enjoys the opportunities to serve the community. She gives presentations to health professionals, as well as lectures and presentations nationally and internationally to her fellow colleagues. She serves the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and has previously served the Hispanic Dental Association and other dental organizations.
Dr. Cardenas has practiced dentistry for 25 years and truly enjoys her interactions with patients, parents, and the community at large. She looks forward to the opportunity to be a positive influence in the lives of our patients by providing them the highest standard of care and a beautiful smile!
Dr. Ariel Marder is honored to be part of the pediatric dentistry profession. Having a parent entrust her to care for their child is her greatest honor. She is beyond thankful for the ability to use her skills and knowledge to help her patients feel comfortable and confident while visiting the dentist.
Dr. Marder grew up in the Plano/Dallas-Fort Worth area. She attended Austin College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a minor in Art. She continued on to the UT Health School of Dentistry, San Antonio where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. During a mission trip to Guatemala between her first and second year of dental school, she worked extensively with children and realized it was something she would like to do forever. She completed the NYU Langone Pediatric Residency Program, San Diego, where she earned her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry.
As new and proven treatments and prevention strategies continue to evolve the pediatric dental field, Dr. Marder stays current through her memberships with the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the San Antonio District Dental Society.
Dr. Marder lives in Southtown, San Antonio with her boyfriend Bobby and their two dogs, Stella and Pearl. They enjoy spending weekends on the Riverwalk, seeing family and friends, and going to the lake. She also enjoys expressing her creativity through art!
