As a young boy, Dr. Yoshimura enjoyed science and art. He knew he wanted to be in medicine and, at his stepfathers suggestion, chose dentistry as a perfect compliment for both enjoyments. After graduating from Roosevelt High School in Honolulu, Dr. Yoshimura received his undergrad degree from the University of Hawaii and then attended the University of Iowa Dental School. He received his DDS in 1991 and spent a year in a general practice residency at Hennepin County Medical Center. After his residency, he worked for a year in a private practice in Minneapolis, Minnesota, before returning home to Hawaii.
Dr. Yoshimura continues to learn all he can about the ever-evolving dentistry field. He attends 100 to 200 hours of continuing education courses each year.Those courses havebeen withsome of the most highly respected educators in the world including: theSeattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education, the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study andThe Kois Center in Seattle, WA. Dr. Yoshimura also participates in various dental study clubs including Dr. Richard V. Tucker Study Club, Dr. Terry Tanaka Study Club and the Seattle Study Club. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the America Equilibration Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Yoshimura enjoys helping people through his passion for dentistry. He stays on the cutting edge ofdentistry so that he can offer the highest quality of care to his patients.Recently, hehas expanded his passion for excellence into another excitingrole as a Dale Carnegie instructor.
