Dr. Yongkun Kim has been in academics and clinical practice since 1991. Dr. Kim received his D.D.S degree from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1991 and his second dental degree D.M.D from the University of Pennsylvania in 1994. He has further pursued his dental education for another 4 years and received the specialty training in Periodontics, Dental Implantology and Fixed Prosthodontics from University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Kim is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Post-Graduate Periodontics and Periodontal Prosthesis at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where he has been a key member of faculty since 1994. He has several article publications and he lectures to dental organizations.
Dr. Kim is a member of the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, Chester Delaware Dental Association, Academy of Osseointegration, Delaware Valley Academy of Osseointegration, American Academy of Periodontology and Academy of Stomatology.
Dr. Bernard Dishler was one of the founders ofYorktowne Dental Groupin 1976. He is a graduate of Temple University School of dentistry and has taught at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.
He has maintained a family practice with emphasis on esthetic and restorative dentistry. Dr. Dishler has been active and held leadership in various dental associations at local, state and national levels.
Dr. James Cox received a B.A degree from Temple University, and after working in media production for several years decided to pursue his passion for healthcare in dentistry.He earned a post-baccalaureate certificate in premedical sciences from LaSalle University. He went on to graduate top ranked in his class from Case Western Reserve University, where he received his doctoral degree in Dental Medicine, and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
Dr. Cox completed 2 years of post-doctoral training at the University of Colorado Medical Center, where he served as chief resident.This included advanced training in endodontics, implant placement and restoration, oral and periodontal surgery, and much more.
During his higher education training period, Dr. Cox participated in a number of research projects and received numerous awards for his outstanding level of clinical dentistry including the American College of Dentists Award in recognition of greatest potential for professional achievement.

When there by recommendation of my wife and yes, it was a very good experience. Michelle dental hygienist was fantastic at her job and Dr. Kim stepped in for a little to recommend stuff. Overall, very amazing experience

I have been a patient of Yorktowne Dental Group for amost 20 years. I drive almost an hour and a half to get to the practice. It is well worth the drive. When you arrived you are greeted by a really friendly staff. If you are interested in learning about your condition, or about methods of dental care, Dr. Kim is an expert! He shares a lifetime of information, and is very patient in explaining things. Yorktowne Dental Group is the best I've had in 70 years. I feel at home, and will continue to be a patient for the rest of my life. I highly recommend Yorktowne, and I think you'll find it is a great place for your dental care. I have been a patient of this practice since 1971 starting with Dr Dishler. My entire family uses Yorktowne. Dr Kim and Dr Cox provide excellent care while being very, very gentle. Jessica and Jamie are exemplary in their work as dental hygienists. The entire office practices safe health care. Many thank yous to the practice.

Had a lot of work done here over the past few years. Dr. Cox is an amazing dentist. He even does implants and root canals, both of which I had done at this office. He kept me entertained/distracted by speaking of common interests to the point where I never even minded going back! He does beautiful work and I highly recommend him.

Both Dr. Kim and Dr. Cox are always great. They keep you informed and comforted, and create a welcoming and professional environment. They do great work, their plans are well thought out in order to get and keep your mouth functioning correctly I have had the unfortunate pleasure of visiting there probably over 10 times during the pandemic and always felt comfortable with the safety measures and all the air filters in every room... Dr. Kim is by far the most skilled and versatile dentist that I've ever worked with!

Dr. Kim is fantastic! He is hands down the best dentist I have ever been to. He took out several wisdom teeth in a speedy and efficient manner, very gentle, I didn't even realize they were gone. He also talked me through the procedure beforehand and during the procedure made sure I was comfortable and did not experience any pain. He is very nice, and extremely good at what he does. I absolutely recommend him.

I have had lackluster dentists in the past and at Yorktowne Dental Group, both the consultation and procedure were WAY above expectations.
