Dr. Marhue is a Canadian native, growing up in Toronto, Ontario. He obtained his undergraduate degree at the University of British Columbia, where he also met his wife, Elisa. Jason moved to Boston, Massachussettes to attend the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2003. Since completing his education and going into private practice, Dr. Marhue makes continued education a priority. His goals include offering his patients the best care with the latest methods and technology.
Sarah Robinson has been a proud member of the York Family Dental team since 2012. Sarah enjoys patients of all ages but especially caters to those that are fearful or anxious. She works hard to help her patients receive optimum oral health and is committed to making your experience at York Family Dental pleasant and comfortable. Sarah was born in sunny San Diego, California. When she was 10, her family moved to Wells, Maine, which is where she continues to live to this day with her husband, Danny, two sons and cat.
Hannah Murray joined the York Family Dental team in 2019. Hannah enjoys providing patients with exceptional education on how to promote their oral health. She is enthusiastic about learning and incorporating techniques to make your experience at York Family Dental an outstanding one. Hannah is a native of the area, being born and raised in Southern New Hampshire. Her family has long ties to York, where she moved with her mother to be closer to grandparents. Hannah currently lives in Sanford, Maine with her boyfriend.
Megan has always loved going to the dentist, and now she is glad that she is able to help others have their best possible experience at the dentist. Megan is a life-long Mainer, but has yet to warm-up to the winters. She lives in Sanford, Maine with her husband DJ, new baby girl, as well as two dogs and two cats.
Rachel is the person who greets you with a smile when you enter York Family Dental. As the Patient Coordinator she is responsible for ensuring each and every visit goes according to plan, and most importantly, that the patient is comfortable with every aspect of their care. Rachels favorite part of her job is meeting with patients and forming trusting relationships, so you can be sure your care is in good hands. Rachel attended Medical Lake High School in WA. Her educational journey took her to Mount Washington College in Portsmouth, NH before she found her current position. Rachel has been a part of the York Family Dental family since 2011, and has spent as many years in the dental field.
Since 2013, Elisa Marhue has served as the offices business manager. She says her favorite moments in her job are when patients comment that they love our dental team. Elisa grew up in the Canadian Rockies before attending the University of British Columbia, where she met, and eventually married, Dr. Marhue.

I recently started seeing Dr. Marhue after moving to York from MA. My first visit was for a cleaning and X-rays. I'll have to say I've never had a more thorough exam in my life! The Dr. and his assistant explained every step thoroughly and continuously asked about my comfort level. My 2nd visit was for more involved work; a filling and a temp crown. Again, the Dr. constantly checked on my comfort throughout! I'm so glad I found this dentist office. They are all very nice people from the ladies at the front desk to the assistants and Dr. Marhue! A team of true professionals!

Just had my 6 month dental check-up/cleaning with Sarah. It was the best, most thorough dental exam I have ever had. State of the art equipment. She was very gentle and carried out each task with ease...the x-rays, examination of gums and teeth, final cleaning. She is friendly and pleasant...just enough conversation to ease my nerves, yet not distracting from her work. I have worked with Dr. Marhue for 3 years side by side. We worked as endodontic and restorative team to get patients out of pain and restore their teeth to function. He has such an amazing chair side manner that I personally learned a lot from which helped me dealing with anxious patients to this day at my specialty practice. Genuine, sincere, and caring.... Those are some of the few words that come to my mind when I think of Dr. Marhue. From chair side manner to his clinical skills, I highly recommend Dr. Marhue to anyone seeking dental care.

As always, the staff was professional, curteous and kind. My cleaning was very gentle and Dr. Marhue is honest and does not encourage unnecessary dental work. All in all I had another very good experience at York Family Dental.

While I was there for an appointment last week, I was chatting with Rachael (the exceptional patient coordinator) about how seldom I feel welcomed when I walk through the door of most businesses, especially restaurants. Unfortunately, this "unfamiliar" feeling of welcome only comes when I visit the dentist lately, which surely triggered me to initiate the topic for conversation. My husband and I are both patients of Dr. Marhue. We've worked in hospitality for many years and fully understand how important positive, genuine connections and interactions are with guests. A simple "hello" and a warm smile is all it really takes to make a small difference for someone. Sometimes, it can make their entire day. I'm happy to say that we are always the recipients of an authentic "hello" and a warm smile each time we walk through the door of York Family Dental. The entire long-term staff are super friendly, experienced professionals who will always make you feel recognized, appreciated, and comfortable while you're there.

From the woman at reception, my hygienist and the dentist, I was given their full attention. Two days later and I'm thrilled with the level of cleaning I received. I left my first appointment excited to return and will be recommending this office to everyone.

I was anxious and nervous about the dentist. I haven't been in years. My experience was a 10!! Starting by walking in and being greeted by the friendly front staff. My hygienist Sara was amazing if you have fear at all she will make sure you understand everything. She took her time and explained everything, right to the Doctor who explained everything and made sure you understand. Thanks all for making my visit a comfortable and pleasant visit.
