Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

If you want the best dentist experience ever this is your place. From Ishmael, and Kelly in the front office to Alma and Maria, who will take care of your cleanings and x-rays, to the dentist, Dr. Barkho, you'll find no one kinder, gentler and compassionate about your needs. They treat each patient with such caring and understanding of what they're going through. I was terrified of going to the dentist until I found Yorba Linda Smiles Dentistry. Do yourself a favor and give them a try. I promise you won't be sorry.

They double book Appointments and my son was left to sit anxiously in the chair more than 40 minutes (we're still waiting) before even being helped. Front desk staff at Placentia location is very nice, however, this is our 2nd experience w this group, I think we will be changing providers. The staff from the sister office on Yorba Linda, was VERY aggressive and upselling services seems to be their thing. Not impressed so far.

More to add from previous feedback. After hours in the office, the Dentist forgot to call in the prescription which he said was important. Now my son will have to go without it today. Hopeful this will be fixed by tomorrow (but not holding my breath)

Yorba Linda Smiles is great! My family has been coming here for years. The staff is always friendly and Dr. Dang is always thorough. Any time we have needed an emergency appointment, they have always fit us in as soon as possible.

Absolutely amazing! Was able to get an appointment for myself and my daughter so fast. Dr. Barkho was so nice and great with my daughter as well as Maria! So glad I found this office.

I knocked out my front tooth/ chipped some others and Dr. Dang and the staff did a great job fixing them. They are very nice here! I currently have my temporary teeth in and am waiting for the permanent ones.

Always the best service! Going to the dentist has been one of my biggest fears my entire life and I get the worst anxiety before every appointment but as soon as I go into Yorba linda smiles I am welcomed by the wonderful front desk staff, especially Kelly! She's is always so helpful and nice. And of course Dr. Barkho. She is by far my favorite dentist I've ever had she makes me feel so calm and relaxed and always checks on me throughout the procedures. I would definitely recommend Yorba linda smiles! I've been going here since I was in middle school! 10/10!

My girlfriend came here for a broken tooth. She was not experiencing any pain, no exposed root or nerves, no sensitivity, nothing. it was just broken. we figured it would be a fill and that's it because it was not the whole tooth. There is no discoloration, she has no problems sleeping. During her appointment, she was verbally attacked about her Anxiety issue and laughed at about being scared of getting Epinephrine. Epinephrine is adrenaline which is NOT good for people with anxiety because people already have issues with natural adrenaline. At the end of the appointment, they told her she needed root canal therapy. the dentist left her in the room for ten minutes without any explanation as to why she needed it done. This is like a doctor telling a patient they need to have a procedure done on their foot but won't tell them why they need it done. Dentist need to explain EVERYTHING before performing unnecessary procedures. She was then thrown a $1500 dollar bill showing all she would have to pay after the procedure. After she spoke to the insurance company, the crown they were going to give is $375 with insurance but the dentist set it at $850 which according to the insurance company, is excessive. The dentist also set her root canal therapy at $420 when through insurance, is only $40. After doing some deep research, a crown post is not necessary on back teeth. Root canal therapy is only done if exposed nerves or root are present or if cavity/decay is deep and a blocked canal would give off intense pain as well as a fever which she does not have. she has not experienced any of the symptoms and still doesn't. it has been a week since it broke and they NEVER put a temporary cap so her broken tooth is still exposed and she has been walking around like that. to top it off, they NEVER told her about any inflammation or possible infections. they 100% put her at risk! I believe they did this to her so it could get worse. After asking the receptionist about the pricing, they refused to answer my girlfriend and kept saying "let me have someone call the insurance company". she canceled her appointment and has changed dentists, in hopes they can give her the correct answer to what needs to be done. Do NOT go here. Stay clear of this place! I believe insurance fraud is happening.

This place is awesome! Love the staff over here. Very caring and understanding of my needs . Did not try to upswell me on anything but just what I needed. I appreciate them so much and they are wonderful.
