Dr. Peter Chien attended Villa Park High School and graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a B.S. in Biology. He then went on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California, School of Dentistry and later worked at the LAC/USC Medical Center in Los Angeles in their Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery 1-year residency program. Dr. Chien then decided to return home and take over the family business at Yorba Linda Dental.
His unique passion for technology and dentistry has allowed him to implement the most innovative methodologies and tools at Yorba Linda Dental, while also making sure all patients are treated like family.
In his spare time, Peter loves hiking around Los Angeles and Orange County. His favorite spots include Black Star Canyon in the Santa Ana Mountains, Crystal Cove near Laguna Beach,and Solstice Canyon in Malibu.
Dr. Kelly Lee graduated from the University of California, Davis with a B.S. in Biological Sciences. She then earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California, School of Dentistry. Dr. Lee is a San Francisco Bay Area native who enjoys the southern California sunshine.
Having previously worked at high-tech dental offices in Northern California, she provides a refreshingly modern outlook on how dentists can be better care providers for patients and helps ensure the best customer care policies are put into practice.
Dr. Nicole Starkey attended the University of San Diego where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in biology and minors in both chemistry and business administration. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree, she moved to Los Angeles to attend dental school at the University of Southern California, where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree.
Upon graduation, she was accepted to USC's Graduate Orthodontics Residency Program, one of the most prestigious programs for orthodontics in the United States. After 33 months of training, Dr. Starkey received a specialty certificate in orthodontics and a Master of Science degree in Craniofacial Biology.
Dr. Starkey is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics, Orange County Dental Society, and the California Dental Association. She has successfully completed the written portion of the American Board of Orthodontics.
When not involved with orthodontics, Dr. Starkey enjoys spending time with her husband and miniature golden retriever, hiking, and cheering on her favorite sports teams. She is excited to be part of the team at Yorba Linda Dental Center while also having a positive impact in each patient's life and smile through orthodontics.

Hello everyone! My name is Krystle, I began working at Yorba Linda Dental Center in 2016. The Doctors and staff are amazing to work with which makes it enjoyable to come to work. I graduated from American Career College in Anaheim, CA in 2012, and continued to further my dental career by attending the Dental Career Institute in Santa
Ana, CA to become a licensed Orthodontic Assistant. In 2021, I graduated from Loma Linda University as an Extended Functions Assistant. As you can tell I love the dental field and helping patients get over their fear of coming to the dentist, and to help keep them educated in dental hygiene. Outside of work life, I love to spend time with my children and make new memories. I love to travel and Im very adventurous.

I am so grateful for Dr. Peter Chien and his practice! He is very thorough, honest, gentle, professional and kind. His staff is amazing as well. The office is beautiful and clean. I feel very safe here, and know I am in good hands. Best dentist!

Dr. Chen and Grace were so gentle with my cleaning. They were very thorough. I love the feeling! It's too bad it happens before I eat dinner, but it's worth it.

I've been with Dr. Peter Chien for a long time for dental treatments. Dr. Chien is very cool and gentle on his professional treatment to his patients. He had performed scary procedures on extraction of all my widom teeth in increments. He has a calm way in explaining the procedures and although I was still scare, but it was fast and painless, and not bad overall in light I really needed the procedures done. So, on my regular routine checkups, like cleaning, it was a breeze of fresh air. All the staff are nice and the place is clean. I always have nice experience there.

I'm new to the area and was looking for a dentist. Just my norm cleaning and check up. I do have a little anxiety going to the dentist, but I was very pleased with the dr and his staff. The were friendly, gentle and understanding. Highly recommended!!

Really great staff and Dentist! Doctor Chien was super thoughtful and the process was very surprisingly painless. Wish I had a dentist like that growing up, would have prevented a fear of dentists!
