Cone Beam CT's have several uses. They are used regularly for orthodontic assessments, diagnosis of wisdom teeth impaction, diagnosis of advanced periodontal disease, assessment of the jaw joint, as well as for detecting signs of oral cancer.
During a Panorex x-ray, the patient is asked to bite directly down on a specialized tool that works to assist the operator in positioning the head of the patient in the right position. The patient is also asked to remain extremely still during the x-ray. Once the x-ray is taken, it is displayed digitally on a computer monitor, or it is processed onto regular x-ray film, which is the traditional approach.
Dr. Kati Yoon was born in London, England and lived there for 20 years prior to moving to Arizona. In fact, Dr. Yoons Mother still lives in London today. Dr. Yoon lived in Phoenix, Arizona for 14 years, where she earned her undergraduate and Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree.
Dr. Yoon believes in comprehensive dentistry and educating the community on the importance of oral health and overall health. This philosophy is heavily instilled with the team here at Yes Dental; such as in teaching parents the importance of removing a pacifier, bottle, and getting a child to stop sucking their thumb.
Dr. Yoon also believes in keeping up with the latest dental techniques and technology. Dr. Yoon has immersed herself in continuing education with an emphasis on Orthodontic treatment and Implant Dentistry, receiving special training and certifications in these procedures.
Today, Dr. Yoon currently lives in Plano, Texas with her wonderful husband, a four year old daughter, a two year old son, and an English bulldog named Catfish. Her husband is a chef by trade and loves to make delicious home cooked meals for the family. They enjoy swimming and watching movies as a family.
Randy was born and raised in Da Nang, Vietnam, and currently lives here in Dallas. Randy began his dental career in 2009 and was one of the first staff members here at Yes Dental. Randy is a certified registered dental assistant and is experienced in marketing and financial billing. Randy loves to help patients with their finances as well as helping them to achieve a beautiful, healthy smile! Outside of the office, Randy enjoys spending time with his wife Annie, family and friends and attending church activities. Randy's hobbies include outdoor activities, watching movies, cooking, and traveling.
Ashley was born and raised in Kansas City, MO. And moved to Dallas to began her career in dentistry. Ashley and her husband have two children and a third one on the way. Ashley enjoys spending her time with her family playing sports and being involved in as many different fitness activities as possible. Ashley's love for dentistry and the many fields it offers is the most exciting for her whether it be working on braces, starting a root canal case or fillings; Ashley loves being a part of creating a beautiful smile for someone. Ashley will take care of all your 'back' office needs from taking your X-rays, assisting with treatment, to making sure youre as comfortable as you can be while at our office.
Elizabeth Contreras was born and raised in Dallas, TX. Elizabeth has had her Registered Dental Assistant license for two years. Elizabeth's love for dentistry began when she was in her teenage years. When Elizabeth isnt making a patients smile beautiful, spending time with her husband and daughter is where you will find her.
