Our Chico dental practice, Yellowstone Family Dentistry, provides truly family-friendly dental care. Husband and wife team,Drs. Christopher Lim and Robin Saunders, provides comprehensive dental services for continued, lasting oral health and dazzling smiles with your care and comfort in mind.
We take our time to explain our findings, take digital x-rays, and understand your concerns and goals in regards to your and your familys oral health. Every patient leaves our office with goody bags filled with essentials to properly care for their smiles at home.
We provide a range of services to meet the whole familys diverse needs, from 6 months to 90 years old. Drs. Lim and Saunders have extensive pediatric dental experience, along with hospital privileges, and know how to care for childrens smiles. Our goal is to make them comfortable and to have fun during their visit. In everything from sealants, fillings, and fluoride treatments, dental services for children are complete with their comfort level in mind.
Patientswho needrestorationsfind that we provide an array of aesthetically pleasing materials to enhance the strength and sheen of their smile. For cosmetic dental treatments, we utilize Opalescence teeth whitening to brighten the look of deeply stained teeth. We also provide non-surgical periodontal treatment and soft tissue maintenance for your continued health. Our elderly patients can come in to receive custom partials and dentures to renew the function and look of their smiles. Or if youre looking for new implant restorations, we provide white crowns and bridges for enhanced aesthetics.
Our Chico dental practice also providesoral conscious sedation, as well as hospital privileges for patients who require extensive procedures such as complex tooth extraction. We understand that visiting the dentist can invoke anxiety, but Drs. Saunders and Lim, as well our dental team can create a relaxing, trusting atmosphere.

Dr. Christopher Lim grew up in Chico and earned his B.S. in Biology at Oregon State University in Corvallis. He then went on to attend Creighton Dental School where he met his future wife Dr. Robin Saunders on the first day of school. Although she graduated from University of Oregon, the rival school, they still hit it off and got married shortly after graduation in 1999.
As a second generation dentist Dr. Lim worked in the office of his father, Dr. Michael Lim, as well asatseveral pediatric dental offices until 2004 when he and Dr. Saunders opened Yellowstone Family Dentistry. Although Dr. Lim truly enjoys the art of dentistry and excels in all areas, his passion comes from building relationships with patients and helping those in need.
When not at work,spending timewith his wife and daughteris a priority.Dr. Lim is an avid fan of all types of music and movies, and loves to be outdoors (especially if fishing is involved). As an avid sports fan (football, basketball and baseball) he loves to attend the games of his favorite professional and collegiate teams. He is also a foodie, and conversations with patients often go beyond dentistry into these areas!

Kim, probably the receptionist, calls out of the blue to re-schedule my appointment. They assumed I knew that they cancelled my upcoming appointment already without telling me prior. My work schedule is busy and a week lead time is not optimal. Dr. Lim seems cool, though talks too much when he's working on me and expects me to talk back to him with my mouth wide open? On a positive note, dental sessions are brief and wait times are quick with little to no other people with you in the waiting room. Update: I still go to them and front desk personnel have been awesome, able to text and communicate casually regarding appointments. Bump to 5 star . Dr. Lim has been awesome.

Very friendly staff, very professional. I was there for an initial checkup after years of no dental care. Everyone was respectful and courteous to me and the Dentist did a great job of explaining to me what I should consider doing next and giving me a plan for continued care. I seriously hate going to the dentist but this was a really great experience and would highly recommend this office to anyone who like me is on the fence about choosing a new dentist.

First visit with this dental group was GREAT. They greeted me by name, gave me a total of my co-pay before services were rendered, and they spent a lot of time taking photos and background info. No immediate cleaning appt was available so I was placed on a cancellation list and had an appt by the afternoon. I am very pleased and will refer others.

Drs Saunders and Lim are both very professional, thorough, gentle, and conscientious, as well as being very nice! They care very much care about the health of the patients and staff, as is evidenced by their adherence to CDC-recommended COVID guidelines for health care facilities, which I really appreciate. All who work there are top notch, and very easy to work with! Glad we found them!

Hi my name is Alicia and I want to share some great input, about Yellowstone Family Dentistry. They are awesome!!!! Went in first time shaking in my boots due to I have a lot fear going to the dentist. Dr. Lim is wonderful for people who are afraid or nervous. He put me right at ease. His staff is amazing, all are very kind. I would like to say the I had a mouth guard that I couldn't wear because it was not fitted correctly. Pat did an amazing job fitting it correctly. It's hard when we spend so much money on products and we aren't able to use them as intended. So Yay! Can't say enough great things about this office, Dr. Lim and his staff are great. If your nervous or scared this is the office for you!!! Thank you Yellowstone Dentistry!!!!!!

The dentist office is extremely friendly and accommodating. They are safe with COVID precautions and are very polite. After having a five-year lapse in dental care, I was apprehensive about my first appointment. Dr Saunders and staff were friendly and thorough as they walked me through the steps of the exam and recommended a treatment plan. The office staff was able to get me scheduled quickly and worked with my insurance to give me a cost breakdown to avoid any surprises. Yellowstone made my return to the dentist's chair a lot less painful with their shame-free care and concerned professionalism.
