Experienced in Reconstructive Treatment of Facial Trauma: Dr. Wayne Yee completed his 1st year of Post Graduate Residency at Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center (A University Hospital Campus of New York Medical College). There he studied a comprehensive Residency in General Dentistry, and Hospital Dentistry.Working in the Emergency Room helped him todeveloped his skills in the primary closure of Facial Lacerations and Fixation of Broken Jaws.
His 52-76 hours/week Residency Program also provided practical experience in General and Concious Sedation, Operatory Room Surgery, Day Surgery Unit, Control of Infecious Diseases, Pain Management, Oncology, Emergency Room Medicine, Reconstructive Oral and Maxilliofacial Surgery.
Even before Dental School Dr. Wayne Yee showed an interest in Dental Research. He served Marquette's Psychology Department as a research assistant,while an undergraduate in Experimental Psychology . His project was Dental related in the study of the Auditory Responsein Hypophosphatemic Mice.
Hypophosphatemia is a rare inherited disorder characterized by impaired transport of phosphate and diminished Vitamin-D metabolism in the kidneys. Quite often this affects the way the bones in the ear transmit sounds.
The study's goal was to determine if different frequencies of sound could be used as a diagnostic tool in identifying patients with Hypophosphatemia. This in turn could help identify dental pathology caused by the disease. Unfortunately, Dr.Yee had to graduate andtransfer his project to another student research assistant before completion of the work.
Former Dental Research Assistant (1983-1986) under William O'Brien, PhD; Dr. Wayne Yee co-authored aResearch Paper published in the Journal of the American Dental Association on transillumination of blue light through hard and soft tissues of the oral cavity. Early researchcontributed to a practical use in dental diagnostics 10 years later.

Dr. Yee and his staff are an absolute delight. They treat their patients as family and make it a point to get to know you personally even if you've only been to see them a handful of times. Dr. Yee strongly believes in patients before profit and will go out of his way to not only educate you about your various dental needs but also gives you the proper tools to heal at home before requiring any major procedures. I have never once experienced this kind of integrity in any medical office and that alone makes me strongly recommend Dr. Yee to anyone looking for an amazing dentist!!

We have been a patients of Dr Yee for over a year now. The quality of care we receive there is exemplary. Just a recent example: My 9 year old had to do 2 fillings, which in most clinics would have been an issue. He uses state of the art laser, so the whole thing took less than 10 minutes, no anesthesia, no pain - just a happy kid and a relieved parent. His entire clinic is state of the art (advanced imaging, on premise fabrication, you name it) - and the staff are the friendliest I have ever encountered. Dr Yee is also happy to discuss with me every aspect of the treatment, including the science behind it. I am an engineer, I always have a lot of questions so I appreciate the fact I can get the big picture every time I am there. 10 thumbs up from my family!

I have had many dentists in my 69 years on Earth. Three years ago I moved to Portland, Maine & found Dr. Yee. He is the best dental professional I have ever had. He is a perfectionist with a great sense of humor. I recently needed to move to Vermont but drove 4 hours back to Portland for a dental implant by Dr Yee. If I do not find a dentist as good as Dr Yee locally I will continue to drive back to Portland for my care. Thank you for everything, my friend... and Kate says she'll miss you.

Doctor Yee does excellent work at a great price. He has a lifetime of experience in the field and applies all that knowledge to every client's issue; large or small. If you want a Hollywood smile without the tinseltown prices, his office has the skillset to get it done. But don't take my word for it; head on over to his practice and you can check out the credentials of his abilities with the many autographed portraits of the clientele hanging on the wall as well. The friendly and accommodating staff will make sure that process is simple and easy for you. After being a patient of his for years; even though it's a dentists office, it's always a great pleasure to see him and receive the quality work that he provides. 10/10. Highly Recommended.

Very unhappy with this dentist. My teeth have never hurt more. The hygienist did some deep periodontal scraping, this is 8 months later and the gums haven't stopped hurting. He likes Delta Dental and will use every penny you are allowed for the year. One of his fillings chipped off within a week. I am in the process of changing dentists

My son is very sensitive about his teeth and gums being touched and the hygienist (Michelle) was fantastic! She was super gentle, and my son was much more relaxed than he's ever been before with other hygienists. Dr. Wayne is very friendly, professional, and easy to talk to. Everyone there made us feel so comfortable. The best experience we've had so far at a dental office. Even the receptionist Rick was just wonderful! A++++++

I have been a patient of Dr. Yee since 1997. Several years ago he crowned my 6 front bottom teeth. He did the job in 1 day, in the office, and it looked great. He also sometime later replaced one of the teeth with a "flipper"(a retainer plate with a tooth on it) because the tooth had broken and had to be pulled. Last weekend I broke the crown next to it bitting into something hard. The crowned tooth broke in half at the gum line leaving nothing for the crown to be reattached too. He had me come back the next day to have the root extracted, something I didn't want to do, but he thought it might be infected and it was!!! He then took the "flipper", reshaped it and made another tooth next to it, shaping it by hand and attaching it strongly to the "flipper". The work is beautiful!!!!!! My bottom teeth look better than they did before I broke the tooth. Dr. Yee is not just a dentist he is an ARTIST. The extraction was painless, the work was done in 2 visits and looks flawless. He also helped me cure my gum disease (a few years earlier). Dr. Yee is truly a genius and an artist, not just a dentist. Rusty Swope

I continue to go to Dr. Wayne for my dental care even though I've moved out of state. He goes above and beyond for the care of his patients. He's very knowledgeable and takes time to explain things in a way that's easy to understand. I've always found his support staff to be very helpful and friendly, and his laser drill makes fixing cavities pain free.

The best dental clinic! I have been in other clinics as well but the quality and service you receive here is the best. The staff are very friendly and do their best to help you as much as possible. Dr. Yee is very kind and professional. He totally transformed my smile in a short amount of time. I come all the way from Montreal to get my dental work done by him because he does a wonderful job and also offers special discounts for people coming from abroad! Definitely recommend to anyone.
