Dr. Yapel received his Doctor of Dental Surgery and Masters of Science degrees, along with his orthodontic specialty certificate, from the University of Minnesota. He has provided outstanding orthodontic care to patients throughout central Minnesota since 1992.

Dr. Yapel maintains professional memberships with the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, West Central District Dental Society and the Minnesota Association of Orthodontists. He is also a member of the Minnesota Dental Association, Midwestern Society of Orthodontists and the St. Cloud Dental Society.

Dr. Mike Yapel and the entire staff at Yapel Orthodontics are very excited to announce that Dr. Eric Bell has joined our team as Dr. Yapel transitions to retirement after 30 years in practice! Please help us welcome him!

Dr. Bell has strong central Minnesota roots; growing up in Little Falls, MN and receiving his undergraduate education at St. John 's University in 2010. He then 'toured the Midwest' by obtaining his dental training at Creighton University (2013-2017) and his orthodontic training at the University of lowa (2017-2019), which included a Masters in Orthodontics while researching cleft lip and palate anomalies. Dr. Bell is a Board-Certified Orthodontist as well as a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, The American Dental Association, and multiple Spear and Seattle Study Clubs. He has provided excellent care to the eastern side of the Twin Cities since 2019 and is excited for Central Minnesota to become home once again. He looks forward to pursuing further knowledge through continuing education and local dental societies as he has a strong passion for education in the field of orthodontics.Dr. Bell and his wife Jessica will reside in Sartell, MN. Jessica is an excellent pediatrician, certified lactation consultant, and will be starting summer 2022 at the CentraCare Plaza. They are proud parents to their three children (soon to be 4!), Charlotte 'Charlie' (6), Xander (4), and Bodi (2) who make them laugh and appreciate the little things in life. Dr. Bell enjoys playing basketball and soccer, golfing, being outdoors, drawing, and taking his golden retriever (Sherlock) on runs. Whether on an athletic field or in a classroom, Dr. Bell has always been an extremely thorough and detail oriented individual. His primary goal is to provide the utmost care in a personal manner with a dash of his own humor. Dr. Bell looks forward to meeting you and your family!

We are especially interested in making all our patients feel right at home! We put your needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment. Our staff is highly skilled, well trained and strives to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient! Each member of our treatment team is a registered assistant, and our office staff has years of experience treating patients with the highest level of care. We stay abreast of the very latest in techniques and technology by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.

Carrie is a native of Sauk Rapids and attended Central Lakes College. She has been with the practice for 36 years. In her spare time, she enjoys their cabin in West Central Minnesota and the culinary arts.

Jennifer (Jen) is married to Paul, has a daughter, Tabitha, and a black cat named Espresso Bean (aka Essi). Jen has worked as a dental assistant since 2001 and enjoys the fast-paced environment of orthodontics as well as connecting with kids. She enjoys family time at the cabin, music (all genres), cooking (NOT baking) and game shows as well as game playing. She LOVES comic relief and making people laugh because she believes that joy and happiness DO change the world around you. S-M-I-L-E

Judy graduated from St. Cloud Technical College for Dental Assisting. She has been with the practice for 30+ years. Judy also taught orthodontic clinical to future dental assistants for 10 years at St. Cloud Technical College. When not at work, Judy enjoys remodeling, garage sales and taking trips to the Mall of America and IKEA for new ideas for her home. Rooted in tradition, Judys all-time favorite is going to the Minnesota State Fair and seeing how many foods on a stick she can eat! Judy is always smiling and looking for the next opportunity to make someone laugh!

Colleens career in dentistry started in her home state of Wisconsin. She attended Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in Green Bay, and yes, she is still an avid Packers fan. Her family relocated to Minnesota and has been fortunate to call St. Cloud their home for the last 25 years. She continues to stay active in the orthodontic field and is happy to be part of Dr. Yapels team. Her family consists of her husband, Kerry, daughter, Lindsey who is married to Ryan, and son, Justin who is married to Holli. Both of her children own black Labs that are referred to as Colleens 'grandpuppies'! She likes to spend time at their cabin in Richmond or scrapbooking with friends.

Becky has been part of the team since December 2010. She has 9 years of accounting experience since graduating from St. Cloud State University. She is married with three young boys. When not at work, she loves to spend time with her boys, reading and writing. She is also a published author.

Natalie has worked for the office for 29 years doing the lab work. She enjoys her job because it allows her to be artistic, an important part of who she is. In her spare time, she enjoys doing crafts and being a grandma.
