Dr. Yao is originally from Melbourne, Australia, and grew up in San Diego. He has lived in the South Bay area of Santa Clara County for the past ten years with his wife, Dana. They have a son, Elias, and a 3 month old baby girl, Tessa Marie. When hes not spending time with his family, Dr. Yao can be found surfing, golfing, playing tennis and basketball, and playing blues guitar. As an active participant in his community, he has taken dental missions abroad and worked in free dental clinics that provide service for populations in need.

I began my dental career in 1977. I enjoy interacting with our patients and forming trusting relationships with every new patient I meet. I feel very fortunate to be able to work for one of the most experienced and well known orthodontists in Silicon Valley. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, going to the beach, yoga, and listening to music.
I have worked in the dental field for over 25 years and have enjoyed helping our patients complete their orthodontic care successfully. Working with each individual patient, seeing the progress of their treatment, and watching them develop confidence as their smiles improves is the best part of my job. I also love working with my coworkers; they are like a second family to me.Im a mother of two sons in college and a daughter in junior high. Ive been married for 25 years and enjoy watching my sons play college baseball and my daughters dance recitals. I also hang out at the beach and hike.
I assist Dr. Yao with bonding brackets, placing and removing archwires, taking impressions, sterilizing instruments, and ordering of supplies for the Saratoga office. It is a pleasure coming to work when you know the person you work for is really concerned about a persons well-being. For me family comes first. I love spending time in Las Vegas with two of my nieces and one of my great nephews who just turned two. I also like to spend my vacation in Hawaii every year, visiting friends there and just relaxing.
I am responsible for managing our patients accounts, billing insurance, and helping patients manage their flex plans. I love to see the positive changes in patients confidence from the beginning to the end of their treatment. I also enjoy working with our staff; we really have a lot of fun in our office. In my spare time, I love to be with my family and friends. I also enjoy traveling when I get the chance.
I have the wonderful job of preparing records for patients and helping the other assistants in the clinic. I started working here in October 2012 and was very happy to join this great office and wonderful team. I love interacting with patients and seeing how they change as a result of orthodontics. I live in Cupertino, and enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter. I love watching movies, shopping and dancing!
