My children have been seeing Yang and the team now for at least 5 years. With 4 daughters that all need orthodontic work, we see them a lot. The staff is very kind, they explain everything with a lot of detail, and Dr. Yang is the best orthodontist around:) They keep the kids motivated by giving them ortho bucks at every visit, and hosting a number of special events geared just for kids and families to spend time together. Going to the dentist can be nerve wrecking, but Dr. Yangs office is the BEST! I always feel so welcomed when I go there and Dr. Yang and his staff have such a great attitude and great customer service. Everyone is really friendly and professional I always feel so comfortable and welcomed every time I go for a visit. A plus for me is that they are also super fast and efficient. Yangs Orthodontics is the best place to get your teeth straightened and taken care of. I recently got braces and the atmosphere here is welcoming and family oriented. I had such an amazing experience at Yang Orthodontics. I have been missing teeth since birth and finally decided to get implants. Dr. Yang answered all my questions regarding how to go about implants and we then proceeded with the invisalign.

Dr. Stephen Yang is a Board Certified Orthodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He is currently the only Redwood City Orthodontist that is Board Certified and one of only three Board Certified Orthodontists within 10 miles of Redwood City, CA. Dr. Yang has been practicing orthodontics in the area for more than 11 years. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, San Mateo County Dental Society, American Dental Association, and California Dental Association.

Born and raised in the Bay Area, Dr. Yang received a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles. He then attended the Harvard School of Dental Medicine where he completed his thesis and obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree, graduating with Honors. As his goal was to practice orthodontics, Dr. Yang moved back to Los Angeles and completed his orthodontic training at the University of Southern California. While at USC, he also obtained a Masters of Science in Craniofacial Biology for his work on one-phase versus two-phase treatment in patients with large overbites.

Dr. Yang and his wife, MyLinh, live in the South Bay with their three young daughters. In his free time, the doctor likes playing basketball, volleyball, golf, tennis and snowboarding. He also enjoys a variety of artistic activities, including photography, painting, singing and playing guitar. Dr. Yang is an intermediate balloon sculptor and enjoys making balloon animals for patients and families! He also volunteers for the American Diabetes Association where he helps plan local fundraising events.
