Dr. Ashley is the Pediatric Dentist and owner of Yakima Pediatric Dentistry.She grew up in the greater Seattle area, but attended college at UCLA, where she earnedher B.S. degree in Physiological Science in 2002.Happy to return home, she earned her D.D.S. degree in 2006, followed by her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry in 2008, from the University of Washington.
After spending her two-year Pediatric Dental Residency in Yakima, Dr. Ashley and her husband, Ryan, grew to love living in Eastern Washington.They wanted to help address the immense need for pediatric dentistry in the area and decided to make this their permanent home.In July of 2008, Dr. Ashley and her husband fulfilled their lifelong dream of working with children, and opened the first privately owned Pediatric Dental Practice in Yakima.
Rociowas born and raised in the lower Yakima valley.She completed the dental assisting program at Yakima Valley College in 2016.Rociocompleted her internship at Yakima Pediatric Dentistry and that is whenshe knewshe loved working with children.Rocio joined the team at Yakima Pediatric Dentistry in March of 2019.She is a mother of two boys and onher down time she likes to bake, craft, and take spontaneous road trips withher family!
Mercedes grew up in Wapato and completed the dental assistant program through YV-Tech in 2016. After completing her internship with Yakima Pediatric Dentistry, she knew her passion was to work with children. Mercedes was ecstatic to join the Yakima Pediatric Dentistry team in 2016. She is currently finishing her prerequisites at Heritage University and Yakima Valley College to pursue her career even further and become a dental hygienist. She loves spending time with her family, going to the gym and binge watching TV shows with her cats.
Maria started as a dental assistant in Yakima in 1998. She quickly realized her passion for dentistry and pursued her career as a dental hygienist. After graduating from YVCC in 2002, she furthered her education by attending Eastern Washington University to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in 2008. Her love of working with children has brought her to be the restorative dental hygienist at Yakima Pediatric Dentistry.
Laurie was born and raised in Yakima. She began her career as a dental assistant in 2008, and was happy to become a part of the YPD team in 2011. She enjoys helping each individual child to have a healthy smile and is honored to be serving the community of Yakima.
Maribel was raised in the Yakima Valley. She has been a dental assistant since 2014. Maribel loves interacting with our patients and working with such a passionate and professional team. She enjoys working with young patients and making them feel at ease to ensure they enjoy each dental visit. On her spare time she enjoys traveling, seeking new adventures, and having a good time with her friends and family.
Aylin grew up in Wapato and recently completed the dental assistant program through Yakima Valley College.She completedher internship at Yakima Pediatric Dentistry whereshe realized thatshe had a passion for working with children.She was so happy to join Yakima Pediatric Dentistry permanently in July 2019.Aylin love spending time withher family and friends, and going out on adventures!
Dr. Karmy is a dentist anesthesiologist working for Eastern Washington Ambulatory Anesthesia Services. He grew up here in the Pacific Northwest, graduated from Walla Walla University and completed dental school and anesthesia residency at Loma Linda University in California.His practice is limited to providing general anesthesia and sedation services for dental patients in outpatient settings.
He lives in Walla Walla with his wife, Melissa. He enjoys motorcycle riding and fly fishing in the summers, and hunting for steelhead and sturgeon in the winters. His black lab Duke, also an avid fisherman, loves to accompany him to the water.
