My husband and I visited YA Dentist today! We are so happy with the experience. We have gone to bad dental offices in the past, and we are relieved to finally find a place that works with us and our standards of care. Dr. Awny Guindy was very professional and charismatic. He was helpful while explaining diagnosis and patient care. Throughout the procedure, he checked in with me and gave words of encouragement to diminish any fears that may arise. Latosha, the dental assistant, was helpful and kind too. The front desk receptionist, Linda, has great customer service too. She was also great over the phone with scheduling. We highly recommend YA Family Dental!

I cannot stress this enough, GO TO THIS DENTIST. Do not question it, just go. If you want to be aware of what is best for you and your teeth, Doctor Awny is your guy. From the minute I entered until the minute I left, I was treated with so much respect from the staff, as well as the Doctor himself. Not only does Doctor Awny make sure that you feel heard and taken care of, but he goes through the effort of actually explaining what the situation is that you're facing, as well as the OPTIONS you have! I went in to remove all 4 of my wisdom teeth, and he sat by my side before he began and let me know what he would recommend. Once he briefly discussed what he thought would be best and heard what I wanted to do, he immediately took charge and quickly took care of my teeth! I am sure he could tell how frightened I was beforehand (I have not had very pleasant experiences with dentists in the past, so my anxiety usually takes over when I am in the chair), so his empathetic nature calmed me down, and he was able to quickly remove my teeth. I am aware that doctors are really busy today because all the patients they have to see, but I cannot get over how respectfully he made sure I knew about the care I was supposed to be providing to my mouth after he finished removing my teeth. Basically, as I was about to leave the room, and he kindly recommended I take a seat so he can explain how I am supposed to take care of my mouth since I was asking a lot of questions. He then went into detail about what I should and shouldn't do, and provided me with a print out of how to take care of my teeth, or lack of teeth in my case. TL;DR: Kind staff, VERY CLEAN and organized office, up to date fancy technology, and an incredibly talented Doctor who is empathetic. Go here if you want to give yourself the best dental treatment you can.

I trust this place and have been going there since it became YA Family Dental. (Previously there was another dentist there in that same office. He was great but moved his practice too far away for me to keep going. So I took a chance with these dentists and am happy I did.) They take good care of my teeth and my kids' teeth. They tell me the truth and do not offer unnecessary procedures. Well, they might offer some cosmetic procedures but will explain what they are and why. I never felt pressured to have any done. I would highly recommend these dentists to my family and friends. However, my teeth are pretty good and strong and I only have had a few minor fillings in my long life.

My experience at YA family dental was really a good one.. Dr. Guindy is very professional, patient and thorough in the way he explains everything.. Also, the staff was so nice and friendly.. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs an honest professional dentist.

This dental office has made my experience absolutely amazing. The staff is so accommodating, they answer any questions, and they even work on weekends. The dentists are also amazing, they are so light with their hands, make the patients comfortable, and also answer any questions. I definitely have recommended everyone in my family to YA Family Dental.

Dr. Guindy was absolutely amazing. I felt so nervous about having my wisdom teeth removed while being awake but the staff and Dr at Ya family dental made the whole process so easy. I would recommend them to everyone.

I went there right before my wedding for deep cleaning and teeth whitening and I had such a great experience. The clinic is super clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly. Dr. Guindy did such a great job and he was so gentle. He makes sure you are comfortable. I can say that I had a dental visit that was pain FREE!!! There prices are reasonable compared to other clinics.

I have been to many dental clinics in LA but this one is definitely my favor and I haven't been to a different one after. They are very professional, very organized and Dr. Awny has taken good care of me. I highly recommend going there, you might even like going to the dentists because of them!

I have had a broken molar for yeats with long roots and Novacane usually dosen't work for me so i was worried. This dentist made sure i was numb and got tooth out in less than 10min was very patient and explained everything to me. I would reccomend him 100%

I had a wisdom tooth out there last week. I've had wisdom teeth out on two other occasions, with two other professionals. The first extraction - done under general anesthesia by a Harvard-trained oral surgeon - proved completely unnecessary, and she actually refunded my payment when it became clear that my severe tooth pain was not due to impaction but to a large cavity in the molar next door. My second extraction was fine, I guess, but I recall it taking a while and being fairly painful; the tooth broke, etc. Now I come to YA Dental. First of all, this doctor cautioned me that he did not think the extraction was the answer for me. THE HONESTY. He didn't push the procedure on me at all - in fact he warned me about the risks pretty carefully. But, I was desperate to rule out impaction as a pain source, so I decided to go ahead with it. He gave me a local anesthetic, had me open my mouth, put the suction in... and 18 seconds later I was done. I was still bracing for him to get started! I had no idea he had done anything at all. This was an upper wisdom tooth, btw, and yet no complications with nerves, roots, sinuses, nothing. One cut and done. He didn't even give me any painkillers! (I had Advil at home already.) And I didn't need any! I frankly could have driven home and worked the rest of the day. Totally different experience than the other two times. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Best experience I've had with a dentist, Dr Awny is very nice and explains everything he does and makes sure that you understand everything he is doing. Overall the office is very nice and sweet with their patients, I definitely recommend this dentist to anyone that is looking for a dentist.

My 3 children love Dr. Guindy! He is soft spoken, gentle and knows how to deal with kids. Staff are super friendly. Clinic is very clean, modern equipment and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommended.
