Dr. Joshua Wyte graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in history from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts, attended UC San Diego for a Post Baccalaureate, then went on to complete his dental studies at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
After serving as an active duty dentist in the Coast Guard for five years, Dr. Wyte built a successful private practice in Loveland, Colorado. He spent four years at his practice in Loveland before moving to Denver and opening his current practice, Wyte Smiles. Wyte Smiles has been serving the greater Denver area for over three years now. Dr. Wyte also continues his military duty by serving as a dentist for the Colorado Air National Guard.
Dr. Wyte believes that treatment should only be done when needed. He also believes that by being proactive, extensive future treatments can hopefully be avoided. In his spare time, Dr. Wyte enjoys skiing, playing tennis, biking, and car racing. Most of all, he loves spending time with his five-year-old daughter, Mia. He looks forward to getting to know you!
Im originally from Florida. I moved to Denver in 2008 and never looked back; I love it here! Ive been a dental assistant since 1978 (or for over 35 years). Ive been with it this long because I love what I do.

My Dad was a prosthodontist (dental specialist) in the army and I decided to follow in his footsteps. Its my great pleasure to take care of your oral health, healthy mouth = healthy body! Hi! Im Sandy! Ive been a Registered Dental Hygienist/Periodontal Therapist for 25 years. My main goal is to have my patients feel comfortable and have a positive experience. Im passionate about what I do and the level of care my patients receive. Im gentle yet thorough. Im licensed to administer local anesthetic, nitrous oxide, as well as periodontal laser therapy and I am CPR certified. When Im not working on your smile, I love sports Go Yankees! I also love to travel and be outdoors as much as possible with my fur-baby, Ziva. We are always ready for an adventure and to hang out with family & friends!

When he hit my tongue with the drill he got annoyed with me and pushed my face away by poking his index finger into my cheek saying "Well if you'd keep your head straight!" (I have neck issues). When I told him the crown had my bite off he mansplained what I was feeling saying "In your mouth you feel any little change. You just need to get used to it." He suggested I wait until Monday (it was Friday), neglecting to mention he'd then be out and the office closed until Wednesday (which is when I left town). I was left in pain for over a week only to come back and hear "Oh, yes, it was off. " Also rude to his assistant.

Perfect place to have your teeth cleaned. They do first patient specials ($75 for xrays, exam and full cleaning) and the dental hygienist are amazingly sweet. This place is very affordable for those without insurance as well.

What a great experience! I am a travel RN who had 2 weeks left in a contract and I broke an old filling out of my tooth. I called them on Monday and they managed to squeeze me in on Wednesday. A quick filling and I was in and out in 45 minutes! The fact that made an effort to fit an out of towner in just blew me away! Go here, you won't be disappointed!

TWO EXCELLENT DENVER METRO DENTAL PROFESSIONALS: Josh Wyte, of Wyte Smiles, is an excellent general dentist in central/south Denver, as illustrated by my most recent experience. In February 2022, my periodontist identified a 9mm periodontal pocket with exudate on my upper right #3 dental implant. He recommended extraction with no alternative suggestions. He had not even taken an x-ray, so I sought a second opinion from Dr. Wyte, who took an x-ray and concurred, but declined extracting the tooth himself, citing risk of bone fracture in the extraction of an implant. He referred me to Denver Metro OMS, in Glendale (a central Denver location) Dr. Kevin Patterson, MD, DDS. I met with Dr. Patterson and we set a date for extraction with deep sedation. On the day before my extraction appointment, I had my teeth cleaned at Dr. Wyte's office. Sandy, one of his hygienists, noticed a fistula on my lower #29 tooth, took an x-ray and demonstrated a periodontal-endodontic abscess. I elected to have it extracted and requested they refer that procedure, as well, to Dr. Patterson. I contacted Dr. Patterson and he generously flexed his schedule to include a second extraction with the one heavy sedation appointment the following day. The procedure went very well and recovery has been smooth. I applaud the professionalism of both offices and congratulate them on both being in the current issue of Denver's 5280 Magazine that highlighted each as among Denver's top dentists. Well deserved. Got a bouncy ball. 10/10. Oh, and they saw me pretty much immediately after I arrived, took really thorough x-rays, very carefully cleaned off some plaque buildup, addressed and woo-sah'd some concerns I had, and had me immediately schedule a follow-up appointment so I couldn't get mysteriously busy and not see a dentist for two-ish years, again. Plus, y'know, bouncy ball. 4/7/22: Did not get a second bouncy ball. Also, forgot to ask. Still bummed. But, teeth and gums feel great. Guess the dental care part is kinda important.

I was referred to this office by another dentist and I can say they did not disappoint! The entire team was gentle and took their time explaining everything to me. I had a major car accident where my face went into a steering wheel and it appears that I will require quite a bit of work to get me back to a good place dental wise and I feel really positive about continuing to work with this office!
