Located in an ethnically diverse residential neighborhood directly on the border of northern Brooklyn and western Queens, Wyckoff Heights Medical Center is a 350-bed teaching hospital. A dedicated staff of 1,800 physicians, nurses and support personnelcare for patientsthirty-five distinct languages and cultures

Wyckoff Heights Medical Center has been providing medical care to the community since 1889. Today, we see 90,500 visits annually in our Pediatric/Adult Emergency Departments, deliver 1,400 babies, offer outpatient services to thousands at our network of community ambulatory care centers and present extensive community health education and screening programs

Additionally, at a time when many hospitals are experiencing significant reductions in resources and services, Wyckoff Heights Medical Center continues to respond to the growing healthcare needs of the communities we serve by acquiring new equipment and expanding clinical programs. Recent improvements include addition of an on-site MRI to ensure that community residents do not have to travel outside the neighborhood to access advanced radiologic procedures; establishment of a cardiac catheterization lab for definitive diagnostic tests that assess coronary circulation and overall heart function; and access to a discrete Women's Health Center that offers a comprehensive range of obstetrical and gynecological services in maximum privacy and comfort for female patients of all ages

Patients who are hospitalized at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center observeextraordinary cooperation between the Hospital's clinical and non-clinical personnel. While physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals oversee the medical management of the patients, non-clinical staff members visit with patients to ensure that their personal non-medical comfort needs are being met. Furthermore, the Hospital's ecumenical Chaplaincy Program provides for the spiritual needs of our patients and their families, and for those who so desire, the Hospital's chapel is open 24 hours a day for meditation and worship

To ensure the future healthcare needs of the communities we serve, Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, in partnership with the New York Medical College, undertakes the responsibility of training new generations of qualified physicians. Upon graduation, a large number of these physicians remain in the surrounding neighborhoods, setting up private practices in order to serve the communities from whom they have learned

This place is horrible. Been here a few times and it makes no sense the wait is this long. Even if you have an appointment the wait is ridiculous. I'm definitely finding a new doctor. Someone needs to do something about this.

Honestly, don't come here unless it is your ABSOLUTE last resort. Do not listen to the positive reviews, they probably just came on a good day which is NEVER! This goes for most of the departments here. Incompetent, bad communication, the worst waiting times especially for pediatrics. They waste your time and go about their day. They never answer phones and when they do, expect to be placed on hold. They misinform you and then when you actually come in, you're told something completely different and that there's nothing they can do and they'll send you on your way. Again, this place should be your last resort.

They never answer their phone. What's up with that? Three of their dentists show up on my insurance's website as in-network and I have decent insurance. One time I left a message and no return. The other ten times no one answers and their voicemail is full! What kind of business is this? Like seriously!

I took my son here Nov 19 to have 2 teeth removed and the dentist that attended him was extremely good and very professional and caring but I had to bring him back for a second appointment and the dentist that attended him today was horrible. He is a child with autism and anxiety and the dentist didn't even fully numb his gums before she started to remove his teeth and was putting a insane amount of pressure on his head that he even complained that his neck was hurting. I also have another son that came here months ago and he left with his gums bloody and bruised. Unless the Head dentist treating your child you children will go home with bruised gums and not be able to eat for a couple days

This review is for the dental unit. Thank you Doctor Guzman and his team for your professionalism, and bedside manners. After the terrible customer service I received on Friday, with the emergency physician Bechmann Samuel, on fast track level 2, she needs to be retrained on bedside manners and how to be a little more professional and not so dismissive of a patient. Thank you to the RN Barbara Watts, for your beside manners and your sympathy towards my pain.

Called to change my appointment (which is three weeks from now). A female receptionist says her name name Therma picks up the phone laughing hysterically and says wyckoff pediatrics please hold. Leave me on hold for about 5 minutes. Picks up the phone again, I tell her I need to change my appointment, she asks when is my appointment. I tell her the info and she says she will put me on hold again. Another five minutes on hold. She comes back and asks again what is it that I need. I tell her I need to change 3 appointments to the same date since I want to come in with my daughter and my mom at the same time and date. She tells me May 17. She then asks me my DOB, tells me she has no appointments till June... she starts yelling at me when she tells me May 17th was for the baby and June for me and my mom. She clearly was not paying attention to a single thing that I told her. She starts raising her voice and I tell her she literally has not being paying attention because I told her I needed all appointments together. She tells me then all appointments will be in June and she starts raising her voice even more. I told her I would look at my options and complain about her behavior because she's clearly not focused while doing her job.

Idk why there is such low rates this Is by far one of my best experiences in Wyckoff heights! I want To thank you all in the dental department starting from the receptionist who truly took care of me from day one. She has witnessed the amount of pain I was In and took the time to accommodate me by squeezing me into the schedule. Appointments are not available until October the pain I was experiencing couldn't wait. My old dentist told me that I needed a root canal so when I got To my appointment I knew what to expect , sad part is that wasn't the case my tooth needed to be extracted due to decay in pulp which is the most painful thing you can experience! They gave me two injections my first visit to block the nerves. Then I returned the following day for a extraction. Wish I can Recall the two female doctors who attended me , but both badges were flipped and I was In so much pain I totally forgot because they did introduce themselves. I made sure before i left the facility that i thanked these ladies a millions times! I am Truly grateful thank you for coming to work during these tuff times. I will no longer go to my old dentist! Wykcoff dental it is!!
