Finding the right provider is essential in oral healthcare. After all, many patients see their dentist more often than they visit their primary care doctor. At WVU Dental, with three different types of providers, you have a perfect opportunity to discover the dentist who best meets your needs.
A resident provider has already completed four years of dental school. They are dentists receiving advanced or specialty training.Residents provide care under the direction of faculty and department chairs.We have residents specializing in five areas of dentistry. Residents are part of two-year and three-year programs. A resident dentist's fees are generally lower than those charged by established specialists.
Student providers are studying to become dentists. They have an undergraduate degree and are upperclassmen in dental school. They have already completed approximately half of the professional dentistry program when they begin clinical care. Throughout all phases of treatment, student providers work under the direct guidance and supervision of faculty dentists. In appreciation of you choosing our student clinic and committing extra time for your care, procedures are offered at a significant discount. Patients should expect visits take significantly more time than a visit to a faculty or resident provider.

Dr. Godwin is the best dentist that I have encountered in years! She made me feel very comfortable and did a fantastic job on my teeth. I would recommend her to anyone.

I wouldn't recommend going here unless you just wa want to waste your money. Paid a little over $300 to have a mold done of fiancees teeth to give her an estimate of the cost of dental implants which they advised a was an option. After paying the costs for the mold and returning the following week she was told she couldn't do dental implants. Why would they even tell someone that's an option then say they're not providing a quote for dental implants and that's not even an option when the sole purpose of paying over $300 for the mold to be made. Not happy to waste my time and money for nothing. Drove 3 hours one way multiple times to get work done here to be lied to and have money taken under the assumption it's for a quote for the dental procedure you inquired about. I don't mind paying for services but not when I'm lied to makes me feel as if I was robbed. Also wanted to add after the mold was done it made her teeth worse than before pulling sole previously done fillings out and made her teeth loose and not have movement. Left her in extreme pain and not wanting to go to a dentist no longer.

Sound good for google review ? The 2 stars are for the great service I received from the front staff. WVU dental has wonderful staff and was so sweet today! Thank You to all the students and staff, because I felt welcome from the time I opened the doors, but I wish I could say the same about the dentist! Dr. Stuchell was down right rude! Needless to say getting up and leaving was the best thing I could do! Such a shame! .. I didn't realize WVU or other dentist do not allow children to come with them during a cleaning and exam. I was told twice as he shook his head and looked at my children how unsanitary it is to bring my two children with me to the back I had them sitting on the floor because there wasn't chairs, but they wasn't hurting anyone! I didn't know it was their policy, but he was sure to let me know. All the things going on in the world today I'm sorry, but I don't feel I should of felt like I did because I had my children sitting on a floor! When I went on saying I didn't just have a babysitter to call he proceeded to tell me to hire one. He said he would be happy to rescheule me today and when I come back next time to hire a babysitter to come me as long as my children was not in the room with me. It must be nice for those who can just hire a babysitter for two when needed! I understand policy, go ahead and refuse to see me but I don't understand being rude! I guess I'll throw my hands up at it like he did me ! Again, the front desk in both places were super nice as well as the lady who asked my medical questions and the dental students all greeted with smiles. Over all it was a nice environment I wish I could have had a better dental experience to at lease know what the tooth that is bothering me needs!

My appiontment is today. Not only did they make it easy to make to the appointment but they also sent a reminder in the mail which my last dentist did not.
