Dr. Wurtzel is a graduate of the prestigious Kois Center in Seattle, Washington. He specializes as the team dentist for the athletic department of Eastern Michigan University and greatly enjoys caring for its student athletes.
Dr. Wurtzel prides himself in providing his patients with an inviting office while utilizing the latest technology and techniques in dentistry. He has continued to expand his services in the areas of dental implants, TMJ and of course, creating Beautiful Smiles. Dr. Wurtzel has assembled a fantastic staff of warm, caring professional individuals.
Dr. and Mrs. Wurtzel reside in Saline and have three children and five grandchildren. Daughter Lindsey and son Benjamin are both doctors at Wurtzel Family Dentistry. Son Don III is enjoying his career in real estate. When Dr. Wurtzel isnt helping patients perfect their smiles, he enjoys triathlons, mountain biking, golf and all winter sports.
An Ann Arbor native, Dr. Lindsey graduated from University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2009. Her love of dentistry stems from her passion for medicine, mentoring of her father, and love of marking beautiful smiles. She is currently an adjunct clinical faculty member at the University of Michigan and enjoys teaching at Washtenaw Community College. She is on the board of the Washtenaw District Dental society and an active member of the American Dental Association. Having completed several courses at the prestigious Kois Center in Seattle; she is dedicated to live-long continued learning in the field of dentistry.
Dr. Benjamin Wurtzel completed his undergraduate studies from Hope College in 2007 with a degree in chemistry and then graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2011. He is an active member of the American, Michigan, and Washtenaw County Dental Associations. In addition, hes an adjunct professor at the University of Michigan and Washtenaw Community College.
Emily has been helping our patients achieve optimal oral health for 18 years and has been working as a hygienist for 24 years. She is considered family to most of her patients and loves catching up with them while getting their teeth cleaned. Emily has dedicated herself to giving our patients the best possible dental care.
Melissa is the newest member of our hygiene staff. She graduated Wayne County Community College in 2013 working as a hygienist for 5 years. Before becoming a hygienist, she was a Dental Assistant for 6 years. In 2010 she received her Bachelor of Science from Sienna Heights University. When Melissa isnt helping people make their smile sparkle, she spends time with her husband, Neil and their two children, Wesley and Conner.
Rachael, a native of Cleveland, found a home in Ann Arbor after graduating from the University of Michigan Dental Hygiene program. She is passionate about helping others maintain great oral health and loves to provide the best possible care for her patients. When Rachael is not at the office, she enjoys playing softball, golf, and spending time at home with her husband and their two Australian Cattle dogs, Charley and Oliver.
Rachel is a 2015 graduate of the University of Michigan dental hygiene program. She started working at Dr. Wurtzels in 2014 as a dental assistant and as she graduated, she transitioned to a full time hygienist. She thoroughly enjoys getting to know all her patients and providing optimal dental hygiene care. When not working, Rachel likes rooting for Michigan football and the Detroit Red Wings. She also loves spoiling her two dogs, Bo and Jager. Rachel and her husband Ron are very excited to have recently welcomed their first child, Avery.
Katie attended Ferris State University and obtained her Dental Hygiene Degree in 2010. What she loves most about her profession is connecting with patients and educating them on how to better care for their oral health. Katie and her husband, Peter have a puppy, Remes. In their spare time they enjoy cycling, hiking and checking out new breweries.

I have been going to Dr. Wurtzel for a year now, and I'm 100% satisfied. He and his team really listen and think through all that you need to do to gain a perfect, white smile. The pricing is reasonable, and obtainable. They are transparent in costs and planning. I highly recommend!

After my last dentist retired I discovered Wurtzel Family Dentistry and was very pleasantly surprised at how professional and friendly the entire staff was. I was greeted the moment I walked in by the office personnel and was called back almost immediately. The hygienist did an amazing job with both the X-Rays and cleaning. Doctor Ben Wurtzel was very thorough and honest and did not try to up sell any additional services. I highly recommend Wurtzel Dentistry.

The staff is wonderful! I went in to get a cavity filled and I was in and out in no time. I hope I never get a cavity again but if it happens I will come back in a heartbeat.

I have to admit that when I heard that Rachel moved to a different practice I was a bit sad and disappointed. She is an awesome hygienist. That being said, I had my first appointment with Melissa today. She was so friendly and accommodating I felt very confident and relaxed. She did an awesome job and my usual anxiety level was reduced significantly! Can't express how happy I was with my new hygienist! Now she's stuck with me . Melissa is a rock star!!! I just came from having my teeth cleaned by Emily (she is the greatest). Would recommend the practice to anyone that wanted to change dentists or are looking for a dentist. They were able to get my grandchildren in during the Winter Break and I really appreciated it. Staff and doctors are always friendly and helpful.

I have been a patient here for 35 years and now my children and grandson are patients as well as numerous family and friends that I have referred. The care and expertise that we receive here is amazing. From the time you enter to the time you leave, you are treated like family. From the office staff to the hygienists and assistants to Dr Don, Lindsey or Ben, you will be given the very best state of the art care. We drive almost an hour and it is well worth the drive to be cared for by the very BEST !
