The American Association of Orthodontists recommends an orthodontic screening at age seven. By this age, several permanent teeth in most children have erupted, allowing us to effectively evaluate your orthodontic condition.
Upon arriving, each patient and parent will be seen by the staff and doctor who will acclimate you to our office and prepare for the initial exam. We will take the necessary photographs and X-rays to allow us to make a proper diagnosis. The doctor will then complete a brief, but thorough, exam.
Removing teeth is sometimes required to achieve the best orthodontic result. Straight teeth and a balanced facial profile are the goal of orthodontics. However, because new technology has provided advanced orthodontic procedures, removing teeth is not always necessary for orthodontic treatment.
Treatment time obviously depends on each patients specific orthodontic problem. In general, treatment times range from 12 to 30 months. The average time frame a person is in braces is approximately 22 months.

Yes. We understand your busy schedule, and we are happy to help you make the most of your time. On some occasions, we may request to speak with a parent when he or she returns, so we ask that parents check in with our staff before dropping off their child.
Generally, braces do not hurt. After certain visits, teeth may be sore for a few days. In these situations, pain medications such as Advil or Tylenol will ease the discomfort. However, after most visits, patients do not feel any soreness at all! We often remind our patients, It does not have to hurt to work!
Patients should brush their teeth at least four times each dayafter each meal and before going to bed. We will show each patient how to floss his or her teeth with braces and use their toothbrush properly.
If your braces are causing extreme pain or if something breaks, you should call our office immediately. In some cases, we can address these issues over the telephone. We want you to be comfortable, and we encourage you to call us anytime you have a concern.
Yes. Some orthodontic problems are significant enough to require early intervention. However, if a patient is not yet ready for treatment, we will follow that patients growth and development every six months, until the time is right for treatment to begin.
Phase-One treatment, if necessary, is usually initiated for children between the ages of seven and 10. Phase-One treatment lasts about 12-21 months. The primary objective for Phase-One treatment is to address significant structural problems to prevent them from becoming more severe and to improve self-esteem and self-image.
It is best to assume that your child will need full braces even after Phase-One treatment. The period following Phase-One treatment is called the resting period or observation period, during which growth and tooth eruption are closely monitored. Throughout this period, parents and patients will be kept informed of future treatment recommendations.

I am 49 years old and this my first with braces. Initially I was anxious about the possibility of pain. Andrew, my dental consultant helped me to process my concerns and took time to explain to the process. Andrew did not minimize my feelings. I appreciate Andrew being patient, well informed and kind. I did not experience any pain just some slight tenderness. Dr. Wright just as patient, well informed and took time to listen. I highly recommend Dr. Wright. Dr. Wright and his entire staff from the front desk administrators to the dental consultants are genuinely kind, caring and professional! They all have been kind to me and my 19 year old twins who will soon become patients.

First impressions are everything and Wright Orthodontics left an amazing first impression! The office is nice and clean, the wait was short, and everyone was very friendly and thorough. For my first visit ever, I was pretty much in and out. I'm excited to see my results from Invisalign and I feel even more confident after this visit because of Dr. Wright and the staff. Wow wow wow !!! Im in awe with this facility . This is my first time here and they made a GREAT FIRST IMPRESSION from the moment I walked in the door . The office is VERY CLEAN , the staff is SUPER NICE , and the Doctor himself was knowledgeable , attentive , and eager to resolve my issues . I will definitely be referring my friends and family to this facility . With me being from Florida and having treatment done there & moving to the Atlanta area & starting treatment here, Dr Wright has made me super eager to start ! Review: I have been a patient at this office for close to a year now. Dr. Wright and his staff are professional and provide an Excellence patient experience! In particular, today's visit I was serviced by Keda, a staff member that did a great job with adjusting my teeth and I had to have some additional orthodontic work. I was impressed with her gentle and kind effort in the way she cared for my teeth during the procedure. All of my visits have been a great experience. I pay close attention to all details that make my experience with any doctor worthwhile, and the efforts they place on public health interventions in their business. Even before, COVID-19 I was impressed with the cleanliness and safe environment practiced in the office. I don't normally do reviews, but I felt it was fitting to give Dr. Wright and his staff at the Marietta, Ga location applause and let the readers of this review know about my personal experience and the quality of service I receive at Dr. Wright's office. If I have to sum up experience, Dr. Wright and his staff at the Marietta, GA location are EXCEPTIONAL

I've been a patient at Wright Orthodontics, for 8 months now. Each time I go, I am always greeted with AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE and a smile from the receptionist! I've dealt with Dr. Wright and several of his technicnitians and assistants and each of them demonstrate PHENOMENAL CARE, CONCERN, and PROFESSIONALISM from arrival to departure! My daughter got her braces in August. The staff at Wright Orthodontics are always friendly and cheerful. Everyone has a pleasant smile. No bad attitudes here. Dr. Wright is the kindest and most patient doctor I've ever met. He takes his time to explain everything and answers all questions thoroughly. You are never rushed. Visit this place.
