Akron Dental Clinic is family-owned and operated in Akron, CO. For over 20 years we have treated every patient like they were a part of our family. Other dental offices offer similar services, but our services come with a small town personal touch.
Dr. Heather Wright was raised in Akron, COand graduated from Akron High School. She graduated with honors from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2006 where she received her BA and DDS degrees. Dr. Wright continued her dental training completing a general practice residency at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. She was awarded the resident of the year award and was asked to return for a second year as chief resident for the program. After completing her training at Brooklyn Methodist, Dr. Wright worked in a private practice in New York City across from the United Nations.
Dr. Wright is a third generation dentist and answered the call to serve the communities of Akron and Northeastern Colorado when her mother, Dr. Peggy Wright retired. She is a certified Lumineers provider, trained in dental implant placement and restoration, and provides a full line of modern comprehensive dental care including esthetic tooth restoration and whitening.
Dr. Wright donates her time to lecture school children on the importance of oral hygiene with office and classroom visits, provides screening services for 9NewsHealthFair, and has provided her expertise on dental mission trips, including treating patients with no access to a dentist in Venezuela.
In her free time, Dr. Wright enjoys spending time with her husband Dan and two small children, Ben (3) and Clark (1). She also enjoys gardening and trying new recipes in the kitchen. Dr. Wright is excited to be living in Colorado; serving the community she grew up in.
