Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dr. Gary Wright has been practicing general dentistry and serving families in Lancaster County for over 30 years. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh with his bachelor's and dental degrees, Dr. Wright moved to Lancaster and established his own family dentistry practice in 1984 at the Buck near Quarryville which moved to its current location in New Danville in 1987. A father of three and a wonderful husband, Dr. Wright places great importance on the care and comfort of your family. His attention to detail, passion for dentistry, and genuine concern for his patients have resulted in the longtime loyalty of his staff members and patients alike. When not in the office, Dr. Wright enjoys golfing with his wife, boating on the bay, fishing with his boys in Canada, cuddling his grandchildren, watching movies with his kids and three dogs, leading worship at his church, and rooting for his home-team: Go Steelers!

A native of southern Lancaster County near Little Britain and a Temple University graduate, Patty serves part time at our office. She became the original team when she returned to Lancaster after college and met her 'Mr. Right' while working as a registered dental hygienist. They married in 1983 and now have three grown children, Jacob, Sarah, and Nathan, and three children-in-love, Anna Marie (married to Jacob), Aaron (married to Sarah), and Laura (married to Nathan). Besides her role as a happy wife and mother, Patty adores playing the part of 'YaYa' to her amazing and growing group of grandchildren! Patty is a passionate follower of Jesus and never stops smiling, consistently spreading His love and joy throughout her community, in our office, and on the golf course.

A member of the Wright family for over 40 years and our office manager since April 1987, Polly fosters a laid-back atmosphere that supports excellence. She helps all our patients know how important they are, loves her co-workers, and reveres the Biblical and moral principles Dr. Wright exhibits as a standard for himself and his staff. 'After 48 years in dentistry, I still love getting up in the morning knowing I still have a purpose in life. Not a day goes by that I am not confronted with 'You 're still here? ' Makes me laugh. I really don 't know what I would do without the socialization, mind stimulation, and the camaraderie of the special people I 've been blessed to work with at Dr. Wright 's for the last 25 years. On the team since October 2005, Crystal attended the School for Assisting at Lancaster County Career and Technology Center. After completing her clinical rotation at our office while in school, Crystal knew Wright Family Dental was the place for her and has been a crucial part of our office family ever since! A loving wife and a mother of two beautiful children, Crystal thoroughly enjoys her job and places great importance on helping people feel confident about their teeth.

On our team for over 25 years, Ericka has an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene from Penn College of Technology. From encouraging kids to properly brush their teeth to helping our geriatric population adapt their dental hygiene needs to their lifestyle, she aims to customize the individuals' homecare that they may take the best possible care of their smiles. Native to Lancaster, she is a happy wife with two sweet children and enjoys camping, biking, and scrapbooking.

Originally a patient at our office, Gerry trained with Dr. Wright as a dental assistant while attending Harrisburg Area Community College and has now been with us for over 25 years. Gerry loves time with her co-workers and patients and seeing all the nice people that have come to our office over the years. She especially loves teaching kids about good oral hygiene and seeing all their beautiful smiles. Gerry and her awesome husband have an adopted daughter from China.

A graduate of Harcum College's EFDA program and the Willow Street Vo-Tech Dental Assisting Program, Terry was recruited to our team by Dr. Wright's wife in 1985 after moving to Lancaster's southern end. She enjoys closeness with her co-workers and loves getting to know our patients. Raised in Lancaster, Terry graduated from Lampeter Strasburg High, has a husband and two sons, and enjoys gardening, scrapbooking, their mountain cabin, and motorcycle riding.

Anna joined our team in January of 2012 as our administrative assistant. Married to Jacob, the doctor's oldest son, she hails from Charlotte, NC but moved to Lancaster after graduating from Regent University with a Christian Ministry degree. After serving in our office for 2.5 years, she became a mom to the first Wright family grandchild. Jacob and Anna have an active lifestyle pursuing God's adventures. She now maintains many of her office duties from home.

Well, here we are finally! After over two years in the making, we are now ready to start providing patient care to the poor and underserved local people in Orange Walk, Belize Central America. This all started over 2 years ago when Patty and I went to Belize with our brother and sister Mark and Abby King on a mission trip. Mark and Abby are pastors of The Lords House of Prayer (LHOP) in Lancaster City. They are the parent umbrella church overseeing and supporting the Life Ministries Church in Belize under the shepherding of Pastor Reuben Leiva.

While we were in Belize, Pastor Reuben asked if somehow we could come and provide dental services to his people. We thought about it and gave it prayerful consideration and just placed it in the Lord 's hands. Soon, it was time to upgrade my office and its dental equipment - but what to do with the existing equipment that had become worn and old but still worked fine? It became evident that I should send the equipment down to Belize so it could be used in Reuben 's dental clinic. 'At least we will be able to get involved in his dream to have a dental clinic!' we thought, not knowing that we would become involved in more ways than just donating equipment.

Reuben had another dream to build a church building in Orange Walk and they broke ground and started the process. Many volunteer teams went down to provide the necessary labor, materials, and knowhow. It was determined that the back section of the church building would be dedicated to providing the space for the dental clinic. Plans were sketched and teams of people from LHOP went down to build out the clinic, make cabinets, run electric and plumbing, and make it a nice place for the people to have their dental needs met. Reuben came to Lancaster and bought a bus from Friends in Action in Elizabethtown (a missionary minded company providing equipment and supplies to the mission field free of charge), loaded it with equipment and supplies, and drove it down through Mexico and into Belize.

This October, Patty and Abby went down to clean, organize, and get the clinic ready to see patients! We arranged for a dental equipment technician from Puerto Rico to fly to Belize and spend two days with Patty and Abby and get the equipment connected, serviced, and functioning to begin patient care. We have called many organizations and they have provided supplies for free and at great discounts for the clinic. We had to apply and get authorized through the Health Department of Belize providing our dental licenses and certifications as well as providing lists of supplies and equipment that we are taking with us so that they would be received by the Customs Department.

On Thanksgiving Day, Patty, Abby, Mark, and I will be flying down to the clinic to finally start patient care. We will be there through December 4th. On December 6th, there will be a big dedication ceremony and celebration at the new church, dedicating the church and the dental clinic. After this first time, we will know better the patient needs, the clinic needs, and better equip ourselves for future outreaches.

The clinic will be available for other dental teams to go and provide free dental services so our hope is that the clinic will be functioning throughout the year. Please keep the clinic and the people of Belize in your prayers. We will not only help the people with their dental needs but show God's love as well, providing a chance for them to know Him better or even for the first time!
