Dr. John R. Feusier started his Orthodontic journey working as a part-time assistant for Dr. Wright in his busy Santa Barbara practice while attending UCSB. After graduating with honors from UCSB, Dr. Feusier travelled home to the Bay Area to attend Dental School at the University of the Pacific, and finally on to Baylor College of Dentistry for his residency in Orthodontics.
Dr. Feusier received both his Orthodontic Certificate and his Masters Degree in Oral Biology from Baylor University, after having received extensive training in all aspects of Orthodontics including braces, Invisalign and Surgically-Assisted orthodontics. His training included extensive experience with patients of all ages, and with multiple treatment methods, covering all disciplines of Orthodontic care. He was also a member of the Dallas Childrens Hospital Craniofacial Team, and treated patients living with Cleft Lip and/or Palate and other craniofacial anomalies.
In 2015, Dr. Feusier married his wife, Daniela, an internationally trained dentist whom he met while both were at Baylor. In 2016, Dr. Feusier became board certified through the American Board of Orthodontics, a rare honor among Orthodontic Specialists. When hes not perfecting smiles, Dr. Feusier loves spending time outdoors with his wife and his dog, Cali. He can be found surfing, working out, and singing/songwriting.

If I could give the Wright and Feusier team 10 out of 5 stars I would! They made my two-year orthodontic journey easy and truly enjoyable. The doctors, hygienists, and staff made me feel comfortable and heard throughout the whole process. They even went out of their way to come into the office on their days off to help me with broken ligatures and poky wires. Special thank you goes out to Jeanna, who was my hygienist from day one and such a pleasure to work with. I deeply appreciate everyone's hard work and dedication and now have a beautiful smile to show for it!

Our experience with this office was great & I definitely recommend you go to them. Their staff was very friendly and welcoming to our kids & myself. Their office was clean and aesthetically pleasing. My son has a million dollar smile now and we will go to them for our daughter as well. We worked out a payment plan ahead of time. At one point my husband and I didn't work for a few weeks because my entire family got Covid. They allowed us to skip that payment and add it to the end of our contract. I thought that was very nice. It was super easy to reschedule appointments when things came up, which I really appreciated. The rescheduled appointments would be in the near future, not months out like at my kid's dentist. These are all the things I love from a office. I'm so glad we found them and stuck with them when originally price shopping around in town.

This team exceeded every expectation I could imagine. I walked into this office with twisted teeth and overcrowding. I left with a smile I did not dream possible. Dr. Wright and Freusier are the most personable doctors I have encountered and their entire team is made up of the friendliest, compassionate people. Jeana and Edgar are special staff highlights as they were so gentle with me and kept up the best conversations. The doctors work as a team, so you get the incredible benefit of TWO professionals. Both were aligned in their process and recommendations ~ but it was so comforting to know I was in the hands of two well established orthodontists. Dr. Freusier knew it was a challenge for me to switch from clear aligners to braces ~ so he did everything possible to accelerate the treatment. The braces even came off earlier than the initial timeline! In my final visit, my adult braces were removed and Dr. Wright personally filed my teeth to even perfection. It was dental craftsmanship. I cannot recommend this team enough. I wish they did general dentistry too, I would be a patient for life.

I had absolutely the best experience during the entire time of wearing my braces. I had very problematic teeth with a lot of crowding and my bite was really off and they successfully turned that mess into gorgeous set of teeth. They are also polite, welcoming, and super organized. I've never waited a minute for any of my appointments and I had a lot of them! :) They are also super accommodating when it comes to scheduling appointments and any other questions or concerns you might have. I just felt like they got my back and that they are genuinely invested in the success of the process. Plus, during COVID-19 they took all the precaution measures and I felt super safe there. And they take insurance! I HIGHLY recommend them!

Amazing staff, I can't thank them enough for helping improve my confidence. Just had my braces taken off and I couldn't believe the results. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking to achieve a great smile. Dr.Feusier did an amazing job, every visit I was well informed, the whole staff was very professional, knowledgeable and very friendly. They made having braces a great experience for me. This is the best orthodontics in Santa Barbara without a doubt.

Doctor Wright and Doctor Johnny, as well as each and every staff at the Wright and Feusier Orthodontic Center rise so far ABOVE and BEYOND the standard of care at an orthodontic office. Each person who works there makes the patient and family feel welcome and comfortable, imparting trust that they are in good hands.The quality of orthodontic practice offered here is truly unparalleled, and the welcoming and friendly treatment puts their patients at ease. The experience of having my daughter barely able to get out of the car initially, with the first appointments taking an inordinate amount of time, and holding back on beginning treatment; to now asking to go more often than she has go, has been truly life changing for her. She was anxious and terrified, and her teeth were in need of SO much work- and the doctors did it all with compassion, skill, kindness, and precision. Not only does she feel so comfortable that this is like family now, but her teeth are amazingly changed and straight after the first phase of braces. The doctors are not just excellent at creating a comfortable and trusting atmosphere, but the quality of their work speaks for itself. As a therapist, witnessing this level of emotional intelligence to help my daughter though her fears is astounding. Thank you Wright and Feusier Orthodontics for having such a positive impact on my child's entire life!

Dr. Wright is an excellent orthodontist! We live over an hour from his Santa Barbara location, so he always fits our son in when he is in Buellton. One time his retainer broke while we were in Disneyland and he fit us in as we drove through Santa Barbara on the way home! I can't say enough good things about him and his office. He works seamlessly with our insurance company, and his staff is incredibly accommodating and knowledgeable. We are so grateful for the Wright Center!

My older daughter just got her braces off and we can't thank Dr. Wright enough. Her smile is spectacular and the whole experience was great. The Wright Center is a first class operation and they do amazing work. My younger daughter has braces from Dr. Wright now too and I'm confident her smile will be beautiful.
