Dr. Thomas J. Miller II, (Dr. T.J.) grew up in Columbus, Ohio. He attended St. Francis DeSales High School and went on to Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. After graduation in 1986, Dr. Miller earned his dental degree from The Ohio State University, College of Dentistry in 1990. After completing his dental degree, he took an additional year of training at The Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, in a General Practice Residency program. It was during this year that Dr. Miller determined he preferred surgery to general dentistry. Dr. Miller earned his Masters Degree and Certificate in Periodontology from The Ohio State University in 1993.
Dr. Miller joined his fathers practice in 1993. The office was relocated to Worthington in 1998 after 27 years of serving the north side of Columbus. For 20 years, Dr. Miller was a Clinical Assistant Professor, teaching at the Ohio State College of Dentistry, Section of Periodontology. He has served as President of the Columbus Academy of Periodontology and the Ohio Academy of Periodontology and serves as a Delegate to the Ohio Dental Association. Dr. Miller has lectured locally and nationally regarding periodontal disease and dental implants. He is a member of the Columbus Dental Society, Ohio Dental Association, American Dental Association, Ohio Academy of Periodontology, American Academy of Periodontology and the Academy of Osseointegration.
Dr. Miller lives in Worthington with his wife and children. He is active in their community volunteering in their church, school and youth activities. He also was elected Top Dentist every year since 2011!
Dr. Thomas J. Miller, Sr. started his periodontal practice in north Columbus in 1971. He was joined in 1993 by his son, Dr. TJ Miller II, and together they moved to Worthington, Ohio and established Worthington Periodontal Specialists. Their partnership lasted until Dr. Thomas J. Miller Sr. passed away on May 10, 2018. His legacy will live on and he will be missed by so many.

Our staff is trained to follow processes and procedures recommended by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
The latest dental sterilization equipment and machines are utilized, including dental sterilizers, dental autoclaves, and steam sterilizers. Cleaning dental instruments using these mechanisms kills viruses and bacteria by applying pressure, steam, and heat.
Requiring face masks and gloves for both staff and clients Ensuring disinfectant hand soap and sinks are available throughout the office Using disposable materials that are discarded after each use when possible a Cleaning countertops and surfaces with EPA approved chemical disinfectants Sterilizing all equipment after and before every use
Most of the materials we use are disposable, including gloves, face shields, masks, and gowns, as well as gauze, brushes, and floss. Our staff is trained in best practices for using and handling these materials, ensuring theyre properly stored, properly used, and properly disposed of.
Clean Non-disposable instruments are thoroughly disinfected using ultrasonic cleaners, which ensure all bacteria, germs, and debris are completely removed. Package Once clean, instruments are wrapped in secure sterilization packs. Sterilization Once safely packaged, dental instruments are sterilized using FDA approved dental autoclave sterilizers. Disinfect After each use, all of our machines and surfaces are disinfected using EPA approved cleaners.
Once cleaned, packaged, and sterilized, our instruments are stored safely until theyre ready for use. This dental sterilization process follows best practices and makes sure a sparkling smile is your only concern when visiting our office.

Our staff undergoes regular training in cleaning protocols to ensure they are practicing the most current techniques. I've been working with Dr. Miller and team since 2000 to preserve my teeth. I still have them (the teeth that is) and that is thanks to them (Miller and team that is). I was initially supposed to alternate quarterly cleanings with my "regualr dentist". I did that once, maybe two times, but it quickly became clear that the cleanings at WPS were more effective and consistent. While I can't say it's the funnest hour I spend every three months I have been able to overcome my natural tendency toward procrastination because of the freindliness of the place and because, like I said, I still have them. (my teeth that is)

I will be forever grateful to Dr. TJ Miller as my very first visit with him, he was doing an oral examination and saw a spot and sent me for biopsy. Because of this my cancer was caught at stage 1. Dr. Miller is thorough and caring as well as skilled and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him and his practice
