Dr. Brian Amison is a native of Lorain, Ohio. He graduated with a BA in Chemistry from Kent State University. (Go Golden Flashes!). He then graduated from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

He continued his postgraduate training at St. Lukes Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. During this yearlong program, Dr. Amison gained extensive training on the relationship between dental and overall medical health for patients. He earned an award for Best Graduate at the completion of his residency. His dedication to continual learning and mastery of new innovations continues to this day.

Dr. Amison is an active member in the American Dental Association, National Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, and Stark County Dental Association. Hes also a member of Maranatha Bible Church. You may find Dr. Amison speaking at a local school, community center, or at a health fair. He is married to Laura, who is a physical therapist from Canal Fulton. They have two children, and all are avid OSU fans. (Go Bucks!)

Dr. Lanny P. Cortez was born in the Philippines, and when she was 13 years old, moved to the United States with her mother, 2 sisters and 4 brothers. She graduated from Boardman High School and attended John Carroll University where she earned a bachelors degree in Biology. She continued her formal education at Youngstown State University where she completed a masters degree in Biology.

Following a passion for helping people, she selected dentistry as a means to fulfill that focus and desire. She attended Marquette University, School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she was conferred her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.). After becoming a board certified dentist in June 2011, she spent the next 8+ years brightening smiles in Fairlawn, Ohio.

Dr. Cortez enjoys connecting with each patient and being able to make a positive influence in their lives. She believes in a consultative approach to dentistry, listening to the patients desired outcome, and developing a custom treatment plan to achieve their goals within their unique circumstances. She is committed to providing a comfortable and relaxed environment, warm and caring service, and of course, first class dental care. Her primary specialties are: cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry, complete and partial dentures, oral surgery, and endodontics.

Dr. Cortez resides in Medina with her husband, and 3 young children. She spends the majority of her spare time with her family, but when she does have time for herself, she enjoys hiking, running and finding a quiet place to catch up on her favorite shows.

Dee grew up in New Philadelphia. She completed the Dental Assisting Program at Buckeye career center and also attended Kent State University. She began working with Dr. Amison in 2010 in his Canton location. After years of assisting and coordinating patient treatment she has continued to grow by becoming the Practice Manager at Wooster Family Dental. Dee has three rescued fur pups Balboa, Nita, and Nacho and in her spare time she enjoys running and working out with her sister.

Sarah has been a part of our team since early 2018. She grew up in Apple Creek and enjoys spending time with her friends, being outdoors, and cheering on her favorite sports teams. She loves staying active with her two big puppies, Paisley and Sully. Sarah is always up for an adventure, whether its traveling across the country or finding a new hiking spot.

Cortney joined our team in 2020. She obtained her Bachelors of Social Work from The University of Akron in 2017. She has previous experience in health care. This is helpful when connecting with patients to help them understand steps and treatment needed for excellent oral health. She enjoys being a plant mom and hiking. She currently resides in Wooster with her husband, John.

Mabes joined our team in 2021 and is very enthusiastic about working in the dental field. She is the first voice you hear on the phone and loves to interact with patients by making them feel comfortable and welcomed. She looks at each day as an opportunity to learn something new and exciting in the office. In her off time, Mabes enjoys spending time with her friends and family.

Jenessa graduated from Stark State College with a degree in Dental Hygiene in 2016. She has lived in Wooster her entire life. Jenessa started with us in 2017 part time. She officially joined our team full time in 2018. In her spare time, Jenessa enjoys traveling, billiards, and spending time with family and friends. She enjoys being part of a team that is helping patients achieve optimal oral health and seeing people leave with a positive, confident smile.

Hope joined our team in 2020. She began her dental career in 2015 as a graduate from the Dental Assisting program at the Wayne County Schools Career Center. She went on to further her education and graduated from Stark State College in 2019 with her Dental Hygiene Degree. Hope has lived in Wooster her entire life! She is married to her husband, Nate. In her spare time she enjoys yoga, snowboarding, baseball, and walks with her pup, Hank!

Terese is a graduate of Stow-Munroe Falls High School and joined the dental field in 1997. In 2006, she went on to further her education and graduated from Case Western Reserve University's EFDA program.This allows her to place dental restorations under the supervision of our doctors. Her primary goal is to give her patients confidence by making a difference in their smile.Terese enjoys baking, cooking, entertaining, and working out. Most importantly, she loves spending time with her seven nieces and nephews.

Kayla, she is a 2015 graduate of the Stark State College Dental Assisting Program. She enjoys working in the dental field and decided to continue her education at Stark State College to become an EFDA (Expanded Functions Dental Assistant). This allows her to place dental restorations under the supervision of our doctors. She hopes to one day go Skydiving. Kayla joined our team in 2021. She has a fianc and 2 large puppies (Great Danes).

McKenzie has been a dental assistant since 2015. She continued her education and graduated from Stark State University Expanded Function Dental Assistant Program. This allows her to place dental restorations under the supervision of our doctor. She has a superb eye for color matching, which is essential in completing fillings. She enjoys spending free time with her husband, Cale, dog, Kash as well as snow boarding.

Suzy is a native of Holmesville. She attended Wayne County Career Center Dental Assistant program and began working in 2008. Suzy joined our team in 2021. She hopes to one day visit Nova Scotia. Suzy is married to her husband, Jason and has an English Mastiff named, Kane.
