After over 25 years of dental care in the northeast, Dr. Pizzino is now here in Waco, Texas with his family for the next chapter in his life and his career in dentistry. He looks forward to becoming involved in the community, meeting new people and enjoying all that life in Central Texas has to offer, as he and his wife raise their three youngest children.
Dr. Pizzino is dedicated to making you feel comfortable while providing quality dental services in a relaxed, modern, and caring environment. He aims to exceed the expectations of his patients at every visit by taking the time to listen to their needs and never compromising on quality. Pertaining to his educational background, Dr. Pizzino is a graduate of the New York University College of Dentistry, taught at St. Barnabas hospital for 13 years and continually throughout his career has immersed himself in advanced dental training. In addition to being Master of the Academy of General Dentistry, he is a member of several professional organizations and holds a fellowship in both implant dentistry and orthodontics.
Dr. Pizzino serves our country proudly as a Commander in the Dental Corps of the United States Navy Reserve. His current assignment is supporting the 4th Dental Battalion, 24th Dental Co. out of Houston, Texas. The staff and facilities at Woodway Family Dental are incredible! They are knowledgeable, inviting and detail oriented. They have been extra patient with my son and his experience has been so positive. I love how understanding the staff is- they put patient comfort first! Highly recommend this place to people of all ages.

I recently had the pleasure of having Dr. Pizzino help me out with some procedures. First of all, I have such anxiety about dentists and my teeth. This has caused me to neglect my oral health over the years. I have been afraid that I would be judged for being a terrible patient. Far from it. Dr. Pizzino put me at ease and just had a normal conversation with me about what was going on in my mouth. Together we began to come up with a plan going forward as to what is best course of action for me and my oral health. He was very concerned with any pain I felt (none) and how my teeth are connected to my overall health and well being. On my way to a "Hollywood Smile". I can't thank you enough Doctor. You a credit to your profession

I met Dr. Pizzino when he donated his skills in the community clinic in Round Rock. Now that his practice is open I decided to invite my brother to come to have an exam and a cleaning. The staff, equipment, and care shown by Dr Pizzino is astounding. Worth the hour drive from Round Rock for his dentistry.

Just moved back to Waco, decided to try a new place that is closer to our new home location and really enjoyed the visit. My daughter actually said she had fun. Highly recommended!

Had my first cleaning in years here, and while I typically dislike dentists, it was a pleasant visit! The hygienist was very nice and thorough, and was educating me along the way. The place is brand new with all the new equipment! I would highly recommend Woodway to anyone.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Pizzino! I needed emergency dental help, and he was there for me. I called the office during off hours, and he personally called me back and fit me in on the same day. I was in so much pain 24 hours ago, and am in no pain tonight. He was thorough and explained everything very clearly - both what we needed to do today and in the future. He and his staff were all super friendly and accommodating. I am genuinely so thankful to have found such a great dentist.

First time getting my teeth checked in years and coming here was the right choice. Staff and Dr. Pizzino were cool and eaay to talk to and friendly and took time to explain everything. They even put together a treatment plan. Thank you!!

I went here about a month after they opened their doors; everything was exceptionally clean and it's a warm well styled office. Love this place my whole family will be going here. We certainly found our forever dentist. The dental hygienist was AMAZING she was doing my X-rays and was literally speed walking back and forth from taking the pictures to taking the intraoral piece out of my mouth because she was worried about my comfort while having that in my mouth and wanted to get it out sooner. She was very kind and general also kept good conversation while she wasn't working on my mouth. If I could give Dr Pizzino 10 stars I would! He is top tier when it comes to dentists, he know what he is talking about, knows what he is doing, and does it to the best of his abilities, and his abilities are great! So exciting to have such an outstanding practice become a part of our community.

Dr. Pizzino is absolutely wonderful!! I was visiting from San Antonio and needed to have a root canal done. He did X-rays throughout the procedure to make sure he was getting everything fixed properly. A perfectionist! He had my concerns and care top priority. He and his staff were friendly, nice, welcoming, and fun! The entire time I felt totally at ease! Thank you so much for being my hero!

This place is AMAZING!!! I have never been a fan of going to the dentist, because I have always been able to feel them drilling on my teeth no matter how much they deadened the area. However, for the first time EVER, I was not able to feel a single thing they did when working on 3 teeth! Dr. Pizzino and his team are PHENOMENAL! I was there for a cleaning recently (the week before having my teeth worked on) and Mayela, the hygienist, was also amazing! Dr. Pizzino asked me questions about being able to feel them working on my teeth in the past and he figured out why. He then explained why he thought I usually felt it, used a different numbing agent, and that did the trick. Didn't feel a single thing! For the first time ever, I was able to relax in the chair and not be so tense the entire visit. This is by far the best experience I have ever had at any dental office! I will be going here from now on and I highly encourage you to try them out if you haven't already.

While there was no wait time and the office staff was friendly, I was charged $66.35 for a routine dental cleaning for an in-network dentist. I will go elsewhere, as I have never been charged for a routine dental cleaning before.
