I graduated from the University of Southern California Dental School in 1967 and have over 40 years of dental experience. When I was just out of school I worked for other dentists and experienced the good, and the not so good sides of dentistry.

I have been married (to the same woman) for over 40 years and we have 8 children - 7 sons and 1 daughter. We currently have 12 grand-children, and expect more soon. I have numerous hobbies, but the focus of my life is my family.

My professional education consists of a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychobiology from UCLA, and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the UCLA School of Dentistry. Upon graduation, I joined UCLAs clinical faculty and founded a private practice in the San Fernando Valley. Throughout my career, I have authored a number of dental publications, held various lecturing engagements, and received several professional and clinical awards. I have served the Woodside family since 2001.

I am empowered by professional and personal growth: In addition to keeping abreast with cutting-edge developments in dentistry, I enjoy reading, exercising, and traveling to explore new cultures and foods. I endeavor to be the best dentist and person that I can be, and promise to always conduct myself with honor and integrity.

I graduated from the University of Southern California in 2002. From the beginning, I surrounded myself with caring and dedicated mentors whose mission was to provide the utmost care and quality dentistry to their patients. Consequently, I have adopted those same attributes and have fully and successfully utilized them in my career.

In an effort to provide my patients with the latest and most advanced techniques in dentistry, I have attended numerous continuing education courses over the past years. Among my certifications are implant placement and restoration, Invisalign, Six Month Smile for quick realignment of teeth, and oral conscious sedation for the highly anxious patient.

I entered the field of dentistry because I wanted to help others. I enjoy getting to know each of my patients so that we can build a trusting relationship and work together to achieve their goals. My patients best interests are always my main priority.

I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell and Developmental Biology. I then earned my Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of California, Los Angeles. I am a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Santa Barbara/Ventura County Dental Society.

My husband and I live in Oxnard. When we are not working, we enjoy riding our bikes, watching movies, playing with our dog, and spending time with friends and family. I look forward to meeting you and your family, and making your visit a pleasant and relaxing experience!

It is a pleasure to help anxious patients feel safe and relaxed while getting dental treatment. My advance training allows me to provide more comforting options to those who feel can benefit from being sleep while being cared for whether it is a simple procedure or a complex treatment plan.

After practicing in my own private practice, I decided to expand my skills to treat more complex cases, do advance dental implants and provide sedation to patients under care. I have completed training with the Nobel Institute and New York University's implant externship. I am a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Furthermore, I completed a residency in dental anesthesiology through Jacobi Medical Center/ Albert Einstein College of Medicine. I am a Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and a Diplomat of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. My residency training has very rigorously trained me to treat medically compromised and dentally complicated cases and to be able to do so under the comfort of putting patients to sleep.

My wife and I have five children and a host of pets. We are active in scouting, soccer, and our church. I am a life long learner and am grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from leading experts in dentistry who have mentored my growth. It is a pleasure to be able to extent my experience to take care of you.

As a California native, Dr. Samir Amin was born and raised here in Ventura County. He received his B.S in Biological Science and M.S in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, at the University of California, Riverside. He continued his education at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC, where he received his DDS degree in 2014.

He continues to keep his training and knowledge up to date by taking numerous continuing education courses in cosmetic and advanced restorative dentistry. He is also well trained and proficient in all aspects of dentistry.
