I started practicing dentistry in 2005, drawn to the field out of a love of biology and science. Im intrigued by the how the body functions and the physics and engineering of dental materials and structures. As a dentist, I bring together the science and technical knowledge, along with my passion for connecting with my patients.

Theres a saying, You dont know what you dont know, and I know this is true. Im not the same dentist I was when I graduated. I understand I will become a better dentist as I continue to expose myself to new ideas and technology. Im committed to continuing education and am currently pursuing a fellowship from the Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Esthetics and Neuromuscular Science. I have also completed the Sacramento Implant continuum and participate in numerous local study groups.

I grew up in Idaho Falls, ID and moved to the Modesto area in 2007. My wife Maryanne and I have three sons, Ethan, Hugh, and Warren with a little girl named Moira. When Im not working, I enjoy being with my family. Were involved with local 4H programs and the local Boy Scout Council. And, at least once a monthyear roundI go camping for the weekend.

In 2015, I took a hiatus from Valley Mountain Regional Center, where I served as a board member, in order to spend more time with family. Being a parent of a child with disabilities has been a blessing for me. He has challenged me in ways I would not have experienced without him, and I have grown as a result.

I enjoy getting to know my patients and their families, some of whom Ive known for many years. I focus on helping patients feel at ease during their visits, letting them know Im here to support them. I take X-rays, screen for oral disease, and clean patients teeth. A lot of my day is spent teaching each patient about their oral health and how they can improve it.
