It is my responsibility to my patients to communicate sometimes complex or confusing problems and treatment options in a generally simple and understanding way. Once a patientunderstandsthe problem and the treatment options, they are free tochoosewhat is best for their unique circumstances.
It breaks my heart when people postpone or completely avoid dental treatment due to dental anxiety. There are different ways that we can modify how we treat patients that help alleviate anxiety and help get the treatment that is right for them.
My parents grew up in Grand Rapids and lived there when I was born, but moved out to Ravenna when I was about three years old. I loved growing up in a small town- there were so many people that we were close with. What I realized about living in a smaller community was that reputation matters- People care about what you do. You cannot treat people poorly and expect them to return, so I grew up believing that if a job is worth doing, it is worth doing right the first time.
After high school, I attended Grand Valley State University for my undergraduate studies, followed by the University of Detroit-Mercy for my extensive and comprehensive dental education. I was fortunate, as my education was funded through a scholarship from the United States Army, under the obligation that I serve as a dentist in the US Army after completing my education.
I was born and raised in the suburbs of Toronto, Canada, however life has taken me all over the world and finally here to Grand Rapids. I studied marine biology during my undergraduate degree at the University of Guelph in Ontario, and then completed my extensive dental education at the University of Michigan after studying abroad in Europe for a number of years.Upon my graduation from the University of Michigan I was distinguished by a few awards including the Academy of General Dentistry Award, among others. I was also able to participate in multiple international dental volunteer missions throughout the course of my studies as well as various local dental outreach programs.
Dr. Roberts and I share the same philosophies and approach to dentistry and we have many shared core values both personally and professionally. You can expect the same personalized care, thoughtful communication, and attention to quality and detail that has always defined Woodmeadow Dentistry.
I enjoy serving all the dental needs of my patients with a focus on patient-centered care as I seek to create meaningful and lasting relationships with every single one of my patients so that I can treat everyone based on their own unique situation.

I have been a patient for many years, and I continue because I am treated well and feel like a valued patient. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. When I've had a dental emergency I've been seen promptly. The practice invests in new technology regularly, which benefits all its patients.

Dr. Roberts and staff- 5 stars! The dentist office is my absolute least favorite place to be! However, I really appreciate Dr. Roberts/staff calm and supportive approach. Instead of assuming he knows how to alleviate my anxiety, he asks and listens. The staff couldn't be more wonderful and Dr. Roberts is confident, skilled, and quick! In my opinion, there is no better place for excellent, compassionate dental care.

Amazing dental clinic!!! I have never had better dental care and I finally found it at this dentist!! Dr. Ola Kobierzycki is a true professional in this field, her etiquette, advice, professionalism, and work shocked me. She did everything to make me satisfied and happy; she has golden hands! All the staff are very friendly and polite, they make you feel like a member of the family. I am very glad that I found this clinic! I highly recommend Weaver Dentistry to anyone who wants to have beautiful and healthy teeth!!!!

First time at Woodmeadow Dentistry and this was a great experience. As a new Michigander, I am impressed with the thoroughness and detail that this practice puts into place explaining every step of the way. The appointment was longer than expected but I believe it was because it was my first visit and they were just getting to know me. My hygienist was very nice, engaging, and checked on my well being numerous times. Compared to my last dentist I felt like I was actually part of the process of determining the best treatment rather than just being told. I would certainly recommend this practice and I will see how it goes during my next appointment but I would say that we have found our Michigan Dentist and very happy to check this off our list.

Woodmeadow Dentistry has always been great. The staff is friendly and always remembers us. The dentists have changed over the years, but always kind, smart and willing to explain their recommendations. I've gone to Woodmeadow Dentistry since I was a child, approx. 25 years. Kelly has been my dental hygienist for the majority of that time and is amazing; she's always a pleasure to talk with and takes a genuine interest in what I have to say. The office staff is kind, efficient, and easy to schedule with. I loved seeing Dr. Ruprecht but since he retired and Dr. Roberts has come in, the transition has been smooth.

Dr.Roberts has been a good dentist for me since he took over Woodmeadow Dentistry. Today, he became an exceptional dentist. In the process of having the first major work I've had done in 35 years(a crown), I had what I can only assume was close to a panic attack when he began the work. Dr.Roberts gently talked me through the anxiety and assured me that if I had any discomfort, he would stop. And he did need to stop a couple of times before my anxiety lessened and he was able to complete the procedure. After he was done, we talked about my reaction and he assured me that it was common for people in my generation to have this reaction as dentists 65+ years ago often did not sedate children or give them numbing shots. PTSD symptoms thus developed for many people who had painful dental work as children, apparently including me!! Dr. Roberts was so compassionate and kind that I am just in awe - and he is awesome - as was his assistant, Mary.
